So with a crossover game and other guest appearances. Do you at all see the MK universe ever being fully integrated into the rest of DC as Fawcett, Charleston, Milestone, and Wildstorm have?
With the multiple realms and other things, I see it being a worthy addition although I do admit, I dont see many of them joining the JLA or anything.
Of course Warner Bros already owns Netherrealm anyway so it doesn't seem that out of the question to me.
Mortal Kombat’s tone is way too dark for main line DC imo
Jack Cook
If it is, then they'll have to explain how shit like the One Being fit in, and the shenanigans in 11.
Bentley Fisher
I guess it depends on if Netherrealm wants to buy DC when WB sells it for losing them so much money
Anthony Scott
11 is basically COIE anyway, so it wouldn't be hard to explain how DC and MK universe merged together.
Jack Watson
Would have the same problems Wildstorm had when they attempted the merge.
Angel Gonzalez
Isn't DC busy unintegrating shit?
Luis Miller
Considering the plot of the crossover game was that the mere presence of the MK realms was destroying the DC universe, I don't think it was ever supposed to be an extended thing.
Angel Russell
I don't think it can. Too much going on with the MK tournaments and other realms.
Matthew Wood
Just make an alternate universe where it's a combination of Injustice, Wildstorm, and Mortal Kombat.
Dominic James
Considering how DC is set up itd be real easy to just put MK's Earthrealm in any of the unknown earths. The other realms are in the outside segment maybe?
Doesn't really work if you take the One Being into consideration. That would mean a not inconsiderable portion of the multiverse is a malignant godhead.
Jaxon Sanders
Can you explain the One Being to me
Isaiah Morales
I'd buy it if it was part of the dark multiverse
Hudson Richardson
There's literally blood and murder in nearly every modern DC comic, nothing to worry about. Merging with Mortal Kombat would be the best shit though.
Jose Sanders
It's essentially God, but what if it was absolutely evil. The Elder Gods and similar beings managed to cut its body up into the realms and thus separate its might, but its mind and will ceaselessly work to to reunite itself, and manipulates villains throughout the franchise (Shao Khan, rogue Elder Gods, quite likely Kronika and the Titans) to accomplish this goal. If it successfully reunites, everything ends.
Jeremiah Howard
I wonder where Bi or Hanzo or Johnny rank in relation to other martial artists like Lady Shiva Deathstroke and of course the Bat himself.
it COULD work by keeping it low-key at least for the Earth side. Think of the tournament of the Immortal Weapons in Marvel, add some more magic shenanigans and keep the Earth events away from the bigger superhumans
Or set the Earthrealm events in Hub City. It would be an upgrade for the place.
Anthony Evans
Have you seen what DC has done to its universe lately?
I’d be down for MK to be part of the multiverse and appear in the next Crisis
Nicholas Smith
No merger shit, but there should definitely be an MK world or a world inspired by MK where DC’s martial arts characters are prominent.
Luke Long
Sooooo dark...
Jordan Ward
Whats wrong with merging?
It worked fairly well with other universes.
Isaiah Anderson
the problem is outworld and the other realms. how do they fit into the multiverse.
Luis Fisher
I think it's inevitable, but it might homogenize the MK franchise as a whole. MK is known for it's over-the-top violence and while obviously DC is no stranger to that sorta thing, the heads will try to lesser all that to fit the scope of the broader audience. I dunno where I was going with this.
I'd like to see a merge happen, though.
Isaiah Martin
I liked how in MK vs DCU the main reason people fought was because of “rage” instead of for ooc reasons.
Daniel Edwards
>Mortal Kombat’s tone is way too dark for main line DC imo
Spotted the fag who doesn't read comics. Outside of Superman, DC has been trying their utmost to be grimdark ever since the 80s relaunch. Batman is more dark than Mortal Kombat at times, Wonder Woman snapping peoples necks is a running joke, and several times you had entire cities razed to the ground. Zod in the 90s was an alternate dimension genocidal warlord who killed everyone on their version of Earth.
Benjamin Hill
MK is getting way over the top with violence. They have nonexistant internal organs in peoples bodies, you punch a guy and 4 gallons of blood gush out, people don't even limp after having their legs twisted out, some of the games like MK3 and 4 were straight up bugs bunny shit.
I mean they are doing that in order to make shit look "more brutal", but all they'd need for that is to just make the damage as realistic as possible, maybe hire an actual doctor for anatomical advice, etc. Cutting someone in half already looks absolutely disgusting if they make it realistic and without going over the top.
