Even if you want to call the show today a thin shadow of its former self, think about how mind-boggingly great its former self had to be for so-diminished a version to be watchable at all.

No matter how many times I see I can't but wonder why they allowed Homer's despairing face get through.
I’ve seen what shit gets popular
This isn’t a compliment
Why don't they just make an explicit Bart and Lisa incest episode? It would be extremely enjoyable and it would throw it into the spotlight again
Formerly shoe'd
>implying it IS watchable at all
Honestly as someone who's seen a lot of back then and now, its isnt really a hundred times better or anything.
The show now is just a less well executed version of the show back then. Basically "that was kind of amusing but the characters are broader, the world is wackier and the emotion isnt as good, oh well." People who call this 5/10 show the worst shit in the universe are just spending too much time at Dead Homer Society
There are the occasional episodes deserving of that hatred though, like The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed
Cringe
Homer looks so dead inside
I thought you'd say like Lisa Goes Gaga or The Man who came to be Dinner.
I dont actually remember hating Greatest Story but like everyone seems to hate it so now I wanna rwatch it
What's really irritating about The Simpsons is the way it uses the titles of classic films for its episode titles and then the episodes themselves do nothing to be worthy of bearing the title of such a great film.

It's amazing how parody-edits of the Simpsons are actually better-paced and funnier than the real show.
Those are among the to-go hate episodes but I could find at the very least -something- to like in each no matter how small, in the one I posted it was painfully unfunny all the way through.
Let alone when they ape the titles of classic episodes...
It's more like -2/10.
it just exists for porn now user
porn to fap to and imagine the time when the show was good for watching too
I tried drawing a Marge nude. It was so bad it redefined bad. Why do I suck at drawing the female body so much?
Pardon us, mr gucci loafers
Fuck you, Sneedshitter. Kill yourselves.
why would you draw any of the women? fuck you, draw any of the guys. twinks, hunks and bears as far as the eye can see
Liar
I feel like they were trying to go for him laughing wildly, but the person making the art fucked up.
Let the Sneed show you the light, brother. Yea Forums will soon embrace the Sneed

Probably not, Homer is known to suffer a lot, not unlike his namesake.
It's still shitty even compared to anything else on TV. If The Simpsons was a brand new show starting at season 30 then it wouldn't have stayed on the air at all, it's just the momentum of brand familiarity that keeps the show going at this point.
The only reason to watch new episodes is just to see how much lower it can get in quality, for a comedy show there have been whole seasons that haven't raised a smile with me and for a character driven show, all the characters are just incredibly unlikable and whiny or so underwritten that they are fading into the wallpaper. Other shows are doing everything better so there's really no reason to bother with modern Simpsons, unless you just have a morbid curiousity watching a car-crash taking place over the last 20 years.
It's watchable in the same way most syndicated comic strips are readable. You may not laugh at the jokes, but you may get the occasional smirk and the jokes that fall flat are more dad jokes than outright terrible.

I guess we'll never know.
But that shows just how good it was when it started that it's such garbage now and yet STILL has enough momentum to keep going, because the early stuff was just that good.

This is the same guy from the other day. Probably the Lisa feet fetish guy.
It would have to play as a "I didn't know it was them" kind of thing like The Amazing World Of Gumball did with the episode "The Dress"
