Steven Universe is weird in general
Reminder that fusion is still not sex and you're retarded
That's literally what happened, though.
Fusion is an analogue for sex.
Lapis held Jasper in an unstable fusion for an extended period of time against Jasper's will, an analogue for rape.
Lapis did this to protect herself and everyone around her from Jasper.
It's literally Rape as Self Defense, user.
???
Elaborate
Jasper initiated the fusion
Lapis agreed
And fusion is not sex
Fuck off
It’s really not
Reminder that Lapis raped Jasper and got away with it
Reminder that Pearl raped Garnet and got away with it
Reminder that the diamonds created a giant ball of rape to use to destroy the earth and got away it
Reminder that Steven raped all the crystal gems in Change Your Mind and got away with it
I see you stopped reading at the part where I pointed out that Lapis held Japser in the fusion for an extended period of time against Jasper's will.
Continuing to have sex with someone when they want to stop for any reason is breaking consent. That's rape, user.
And fusion is not sex, you're right! But it IS an analogue for sex. We call that a metaphor around here, user.
>And fusion is not sex, you're right! But it IS an analogue for sex. We call that a metaphor around here, user.
This is a common misconception so I'll assume you're not pulling a ruse here.
Fusion is a metaphor for relationships. Friendship, love etc. It be life bonds like Garnet, or a casual display of intense intimacy and trust like Rainbow Quartz (with pink), but ultimately it shouldn't be assumed to be "sex".
In this case, Jasper and Lapis were in a sort of forced toxic relationship of sorts. It's dark, but not that dark.
compared to the alternatives is that such a bad thing?
i miss malachite
>promotes
Urhm.. Jasper was a Villain, and the show says that Malachite is a bad fusion, something wrong.
What were you expecting from Antichrist the show? (also taking the chance for posting the full screencap of that thread, i didnt make it)
Based underage
One thing I find interesting is that, in light of the Pink Diamond reveal, Jasper was never in the wrong. Fusion really does do terrible things to gems, given the insane codependence long-term fusions show. And Rose Quartz really was a terrible, horrible person.
Jasper did nothing wrong
Are you saying that bad people should be raped, user?
Gordon please
You wanna rape a bad girl?
5:15 is were the starting point should have been,
8:05 it may be because I my training as a medic during my time as a conscript but that part made me feel something, not sure exactly what but definitely something.
Posting the best diamond.
Of course Malachite was shown as a bad fusion. Rape is wrong, user!
They also said that killing facists is never justifiable and that Adolf Hitler just needed a hug.
Oooh, that too. I forgot about that.
>Reminder that if user had the choice between saving his family or raping someone he'd choose the right choice, because morality is white and black and rape is always wrong
Tidy up the fucking screencap. christ.
Let's be honest: if someone tries to mug your ass, I think you're within your rights to ram them in the pooper a little. Attempted rape is even better, because they get an object lesson.
The reactions by millenials and xoomers to SU is basically identical to the reaction to pokemon in the 90s. No, rebecca sugar isn't going to warp through the TV and rape your kids
In the battle of pistols, ya gotta be quicker on the draw.
It's not rape if you LOVE them.
we simply don't have the technology.
Meant for
Good to see that at least some people see the truth as well
Well I really do prefer Jasper and Lapis as a thing over Peridot and Lapis being locked in eternal barn syndrome
Lapis wasn't portayed as in the right for fusion raping Jasper, and she didn't do it out of self defense. Jasper was already defeated at the end of Jailbreak and when Jasper asked Lapis to fuse to help her beat the CGs Lapis agreed because she was still pissed about being trapped in the mirror and wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to use Jasper as a scapegoat to take all her anger out on and keep her own prisoner captive. She admitted what she did was wrong, she just wasn't reprimanded for it because she got turned into a special snowflake wooby and characters rarely ever face consequences for their actions in this show no matter how god awful, unless they're Jasper or Lars.
Malachite was meant to be a portrayal of a toxic relationship that was unhealthy for both parties, the biggest problem with the arc was that Jasper did not get the help or chances to heal afterwards that Lapis did even though she was the one being trapped and used as a punching bag in the fusion and instead was left to fall into a downward spiral that ended with her feeling worthless and destroying herself before ever learning how much she had been lied to and how misguided her quest for payback against Rose was, though Rebecca has went on record to say that Lapis did treat Jasper unfairly and that Jasper is meant to be a tragic and self destructive character.
Malachite can be readdressed and the problem can be mended when Rebecca gives Jasper the healing, closure, and happiness she deserves in season 6. Her Malachite colored corruption scars and the depictions of Jasper/Lapis/Malachite outside of the show point towards there being more to come.
The whole thing was a fucking mess because they shifted from Lapis forcing Jasper into the fusion by pure strength and doing it to protect Steven to Lapis and Jasper both being sadomasochistic freaks that found malachite to be their fetish.
Not to mention the fight that, while they tried to say it was an abusive relationship that had both at fault, the show entirely paints Lapis as a good person who should be pitied and Jasper as a mean bully that should be hated. Also, they made Jasper pay the consequence for it, but Lapis had no consequence whatsoever.
>Garnet: Hey Lapis, I know that you did something awful and disturbing, especially to a fusion like me, but I will never mention this again and I´ll be totally cool with you joining the team.
Everything involving Lapis is absolutely awful.
Post pets
Reminder that there's a difference between "rape" the crime and "rape" the sjw hyperbole.
Connie should have died on the trip to homeworld due to a lack of oxygen
You made this in another thread already.
>because they shifted from Lapis forcing Jasper into the fusion by pure strength and doing it to protect Steven
I don't understand how anyone thinks this was meant to be the case
