Will it be kino? But serious now,I think they should get the Miller's to write the script, the team of Spiderverse. I hope this film will have very G1 designs since Hasbro has now power over the movies. This could be Cullen's last chance to shine in animation. What animation would Yea Forums love for this movie? 2D? 3D? Hyperrealistic? Or 3D that looks like 2D? I would like something in the style of the TF Devastation game animation.
Deja vu, i've just been in this thread. But no really, i bet it's going to be hyperrealistic CGI and connected to Bumblebee, given it's not featuring humans.
Henry Powell
That would be awful,I liked Spiderverse and I wish we got a similar treatment for Transformers. I loved Bumblebee but I think an animated movie should be separate from the live action films. Wouldn't such a film be very expensive tho? I mean,Disney has the money for Lion King but Paramount don't.
Jeremiah Torres
>Wouldn't such a film be very expensive tho? You're right, and it would be risky considering the Bumblebee's small profit. But since Paramount is crazy for MCU money, i think they can arrange things by having the opening scene be the CGI Optimus telling how the war started.
Camden Bennett
They actually cancelled the Cinematic Universe plans. They will take the DC strategy from now on.
I think they want something like the opening scene from Bumblebee, which was pure CGI. It was made on a very short notice, so one can assume that it's not too expensive or complicated to make. War for Cybertron is an interesting storyline which could make for a good action movie, and you don't need expensive CGI when you're doing only robots and other inorganic stuff.
Would Yea Forums love a Transformers crossover film like Spiderverse?
Benjamin Martin
Yeah
Anthony Diaz
I like transformers but never owned a toy,is it weird?
Jonathan Taylor
Yes sir
Levi Edwards
They announced this years ago. Just make it like the opening in Bumblebee and we're gold.
Landon Turner
Aww, I thought you meant Animated the TV show
Hudson Jenkins
Ewww no
Grayson Russell
Kino
Easton Carter
Bump
Jordan Robinson
>It was made on a very short notice Source for this?
Andrew Reyes
Bumblebee had a completely different opening sequence at first, but when TLK flopped, they decided to redo it completely so that Bumblebee can be called a reboot. By that point the movie was almost done, so they had to scramble.
Jaxson Rivera
In a lot of the interviews and behind the scenes material, they discuss how they chose to design all the Autobots and decepticons based on existing wire skeletons so they wouldn't have to remap anything, and could just make the model and immediately get to animating. Plus, you can tell how much they reuse the same few models for the decepticons (seekers).
Cameron Jenkins
Christ, I legitimately didn't know this, that's pretty cool.
Nathaniel Cox
Megatron!
Thomas Rogers
>Animated, Prime,and G1 Decepticons all working together.
Yes. Just for the Starscream scenes alone.
John Davis
i only had the beast wars bronze and purple Megatron but wanted all the toys. I especially got re-interested in Transformers when i watched Transformers Prime and played the games War and Fall of Cybertron. I only saw pieces of other cartoons. So no, whatever gets you there man.
Animated Arcee's colors are just that good and I wished they revisited that deco, as well as Prime's since she's quite beloved.
Jacob Thompson
I can't not see chromia with a blue arcee
Benjamin Barnes
The polar opposite actually. I have a problem with them, they’re fucking gross and I feel like washing anything that they touch. I hate how they look, and I have been hating them more as I age since they are the source of a large chunk of my daily pain.
I’d be terrible in Japan. I’d have to get super thick socks and never visit or invite anyone into homes. Agh, I can’t unsee the ballgag face.
Hopefully he’ll pull it off like a faceplate in the sequel. Reynolds Pikachu has ruined this phrase for me. She took the dog to the vet. Most people like dogs.
Owen Turner
Animated's colors in general were good. So were the designs.
It's the art style that turns people off. When people have translated DJW's designs into more typical Transformers aesthetics, they look utterly gorgeous.
Benjamin Richardson
>There may or may not be pics of Sari strapped to a table by Shockwave in my sketchbook. Why would Shockwave do that to himself?
Camden Long
Decepticons using little girl robots to conquer the earth is so obvious, I'm surprised Japan hasn't done it already
Camden Sanders
RotF Lockdown for example.
Austin Wood
Suppose Skullgrin asked to be the little girl, and they just met him halfway on it?
so read through Transformers The Ultimate Guide for the first time in more than a decade and man is it an incredibly shitty guide, in it's attempt to cover everything that had been made up to that point it end up covering literally nothing well
Ian Harris
it's more like simon furman's head-canon: the guide
Colton Perez
>it's more like simon furman's head-canon: the guide it's honestly not even very good for that either due to how much space in the book gets wasted by useless nonsense
Lucas Williams
They might wanna ride on the Spiderverse success right now, with IDW style twists and plus animated transformers will probably make some bank in Japan.
Andrew Brooks
Furman has never contributed anything of value to the entire franchise. >but muh robot satan! Congrats, instead of Unicron having the motivation of Galactus you made him have the motivation of a shitty JRPG boss
Jordan Long
let's not go crazy here. He contributed a lot with the comics. What about Primus?
and what, you prefer Unicron to be made by a mad scientist monkey like in the cartoon?
Oliver Gonzalez
Yes.
Ethan Parker
*somewhere in the Multiverse, Megatron is slapping himself for not coming with that sooner*
so Yoshikazu Iwanami is gonna be the ADR director for Cyberverse's Japanese.
so expect it to be simmilair to Beast Wars and Prime's Japanese dubs cause he was the director of those ones too.
Jacob Ross
So, dialed up comedy, heavy enphasis on quips and verbal ticks, and replace all the girls with gays?
Jaxson King
>replace all the girls with gays? With the current waifu obsession in Japan? They'd have his head on a platter the moment he decides to get cute.
Michael Price
Are they aiming Cyberverse for teens and adults or just small children?
Pretty sure Japan still thinks boys aren’t supposed to know girls exist in media as anything but moms until they get their first boner.
Cooper Murphy
I guess kids again, but why bother? there aren't even that many kids in Japan anyway. Meanwhile, westaboos are on the rise.
Hunter Harris
True.
Still, it would make more sense with Windblade. Male characters aren’t known for that face paint.
Luis Rogers
Acid Storm might actually be male in this dub lol
I hadn't considered that.
It's worth noting that the Italian dub of Cyberverse initially had a male VA for Shadow Striker not realizing the character was female but fortunately changed it for later episodes.
Jack Allen
And yet people act like they changed Beast Wars when they dubbed it.
Luis Scott
It's not that Beast Wars wasn't comedic it's that the serious aspects of the show were severely undercut and downplayed.
Megatron was less of a charismatic manipulative magnificent bastard and more of a joke villain akin to Sunbow Megatron.
Wyatt Barnes
Cyberverse is already a very silly and comedic show. It'll be fine.
Ethan Howard
>Reynolds Pikachu has ruined this phrase for me. Adorabler? Is that what he said? And I'm cautiously optimistic about the movie... I'll probably end up reading the summary and never watch it though..
Levi Phillips
yeah i guess that's fair, my issue is them undercutting the flashback scene with Megatron muting Bumblebee.
Nathan Cox
Watch the first trailer again. The use of “adorable” or its derivatives in a retort now reads in his voice for me.
Kayden Green
They're not going to undercut a scene of that kind. BW Jap dub was full of silly stuff but they still had serious moments when stuff was getting pretty violent and dramatic. Prime dub made Airachnid silly, but at no point shyed away from what MECH was doing to Breakdown.
Joseph Green
>Watch the first trailer again. No. I don't like watching trailers, they upset me.
>tfw just remembered how Nightbeat deserved much better aaaa
A Yandere Airachnid could've been scarier...but the way approached it...wasn't.
Caleb Sanchez
Wait, it worked?
Samuel Williams
>No. I don't like watching trailers, they upset me. Why
Nicholas Reyes
>That guy is a moon rover. It is something new, at least.
Angel Cruz
There'd be something like 13 clone Starscreams alone.
Colton Wright
I like minor retools.
Being a lorefag who wants a figure of the character, I like how similar engineering indicates what type of race of Cybertronian they are.
Like cassettes. I like how there’s cat, bird, and robot cassettes, but don’t need each one to only exist for that character. For example I don’t want Rewind and Frenzy to literally just be repaints, but I like them having the same transformation and the fact there’s a bunch of robot cassettes is pretty cool. I like Frenzy and Rumble being repaints, since the characters are intended to look alike. Preferably a repaint at least has a different facial expression though.
Is this making sense? I feel like I’m not conveying my point well.
He doesn’t see things in terms of a larger object, his brain interprets them as collections of shapes like how an artist draws. Wide empty spaces make him uncomfortable, so he keeps a few sculpted geometric shapes to focus on and calm his nerves. Given how the focus of a moon rover is at a downwards 45 degree angle and is for observing patterns and recognizable shapes and patterns, its a very fitting alt mode.
Brandon Scott
I got the gist of it, you want something like Animated did of several bots sharing body types but not being repaints.
Oliver Hall
I wonder about the post-Unicron IDW and Unicron trilogy Starscreams interacting.
Like how IDW put some emphasis on alt mode as identity, rather than there not really being any reason some turn into robot cats and some turn into aircraft carriers.
I think that’s why I like the Minicons and 13 Primes so much. It adds reason and logic to the vast differences in form for one species.
Nicholas Torres
Forgot pic and said patterns twice. Man, I fucked that up.
Its the Bayverse. He probably wrote it himself using the pan Shakespeare gave him. Which is secretly the Enigma Of Combination, and tied to the bloodline of Chip Chase.
I'm sure they'll do it in the same animation style as Spiderverse, but I hope they give their movements some weight to them like old anime OVAs would do with their mecha.
For 3 minutes before they all backstab each other at the same time.
Matthew Ward
STARSCREAM HAS FALLEN! NOW I, STARSCREAM, AM STARSCREAMER OF THE STARSCREAMICONS!
Angel Butler
Starscream exclaimed as yet another Starscream appearing from the shadows sneaked up behind him with a large steak knife in hand. "Psh, nothing personal", and yet another SS teleported behind him, only to reveal it was actually Sky Warp who is much cooler than SS.
Gabriel Davis
>The Starscreams actually get along well and don't backstab each other
On the other side you have Shattered Glass, Unicron trilogy, and IDW Starscreams. Plus probably G1 ghost Starscream, he kind of just sides with whoever.
Waaaaait, they pay you to read a wiki and make a video with the summary?
Jason Martinez
>McFeely Fuck off with this autistic twit.
Camden Gomez
Because they either represent the movie poorly, or enough that I might not be surprised. Also it's a trailer for a movie I probably won't get around to watching, bc I don't really watch movies by myself, when I can watch them at home later for free (although I put of doing this indefinitely , e.g. Lego movies, Star Wars 8). Also esp with capeshit or worrying franchises I end up reading summaries to see if the movie is good, and then I wait long enough for me to forget the plot before watching. I think I can watch Donnie Darko soon. Something about a plane and they're already dead?
How the fuck would you know if you want to watch a movie without a trailer? Or at least a movie poster.
Lots of fantastic movies sound like absolute trash as a summary, since they’re a visual medium. Like every Laika movie, Secret Of Nimh, Star Wars 1977, etc.
Also, the Lego movies were good. Also, if you don’t support good movies they won’t make them.
Ian Scott
I haven't played Majora's Mask but I think I saw enough clips, the moon's falling bc Majora's a nihilist, right? And you gotta turn back time and make the big friends for you
Grayson Myers
>Less revenue to Willis too Sounds fine to me.
Isaiah Walker
Be warned, Darko is an art film.
Like a far less surreal Eraserhead. It doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
There’s also multiple cuts, and an official book explaining what the movie is actually about.
Like The Matrix if you swap computers for time fuckery, action for the mood of American Beauty, and if it hadn’t left all the good philosophy in the first draft of the script.
Nicholas Lopez
Sorta, yeah. Time travel it's important.
Jack Gomez
>How the fuck would you know if you want to watch a movie without a trailer? Or at least a movie poster. Please don't yell at me.. It's not like I avoid trailers on television, but even at best, an exciting trailer just makes me go >ahhh, it would be nice to watch this at a comfy theater with somebody nice, and talk with them about the movie after... >reality: watch it alone with talkative people/kids in a dark and dirty place, read sad discussions on Yea Forums or not at all
>every Laika movie, Secret Of Nimh I don't know these movies... A kind lady at church said we should go watch the Lego Movie together when it comes out, but then she watched it with someone else. Movies just make me lonely
>a far less surreal Eraserhead. It doesn’t really make a lot of sense. I couldn't finish Eraserhead bc confusing and lonely, I watched Twink Peaks and it was nice, but the new season was a bit confusing. I was saving the last episode for a special day but I forgot to watch it haha. Oh American Beauty was comfy... >Time travel it's important. I like time travel... Oh oh there was a Chinese movie with a piano and time travel iirc. Apparently that was fun too..
Just catch movies that have been out a while. Cheaper, less people seeing it.
Also, seeing a movie is about sitting, listening, and looking. Unless you’re a chatty person yourself, the experience is the same unless you’re on a date.
Also, fuck Yea Forums.
Also, watch Coraline, Paranorman, and Kubo & The Two Strings. If you like those, watch Boxtrolls and Missing Link.
Then watch Secret Of Ninh, Land Before Time, and An American Tail.
This is all important viewing for film and animation fans, and just anyone who likes good movies.
Then watch the rest of the movies on this list. All of them are must-see.
No, then kiss players would actually have some legitimacy for its concept.
I'm now imagining undercover Decepticons getting way to used to being in a cute girl pretender shell
Kayden Fisher
If you liked Bumblebee, just know the guy who made it good is the head of Laika Studios, which makes stop motion animated movies. He’s the son of the owner of Nike. As in, the shoes.
Liam Barnes
>I'm now imagining undercover Decepticons getting way to used to being in a cute girl pretender shell Tell more.
Landon Murphy
and getting picked on by other Deceptiocns for "enjoying it too much"
Asher Stewart
And now it's cute.
Oliver Nelson
At home I get distracted by snacks, drinks, smokes, walking around, etc... and besides, having watched a neat kino, you'd want to talk to people about it, but you only get blank stares, so sad... Oh oh, I've seen Coraline and an American Tail! Possibly the Land Before Time too. >Watership Frown I've seen some episodes of the show, I remember >Come along Pipkin and Woundwort, scary... Thank you for the neat list though, I'll try and get through it one by one >When the Wind Blows I saw a storytime of it I hate it aaaaa ;_; I have yet to watch Bumblebee! >He’s the son of the owner of Nike. As in, the shoes. F-following in his father's footsteps, huh...
>more civilian jobs like authors, artists, film directors come to mind >have to assign more Kreons more civilian jobs bc comfy, in addition to their wartime stuff I have to come up with Comfy but confusing aaa
Isn't there a manga story where it's revealed that all the universes Starscream's have an afterlife to themselves? and they conspire together to escape...then backstab one another of course.
Then there's another one where Ghost!Starscream comes back to help present-time Starscream and they fuse into an eldritch monster thing.
I really like the idea of time Ghost!Starscream being his own antagonist time travelling back to cause trouble. Except he's more dangerous because of all his life/death experience, or more dangerous cause he's a bit unhinged after living so long.
Asher Collins
Bluestreak’s holo matter avatar is pure sex.
Gavin Hughes
Nah.
Laika movies get universal praise, but always fail financially.
He siphons that shoe money in order to fund art.
He may be the only artist son of a rich old business man to have his dad’s respect.
Christopher Bell
Idc whether he's gonna talk about hashtags or mansplaining but I'd stay over and do lewd things with Bluestreak >Roberts gets Bluestreak like he wanted instead of Swerve in season 1 >???
>Laika movies get universal praise Woah >but always fail financially So sad... maybe I'll go and see one next time! >He may be the only artist son of a rich old business man to have his dad’s respect. If he does what he loves, that's fine, but I'm really glad to hear he had the passion and talent to make Nike Sr proud!
I love it when they manage to look like robots that are aliens, vs just people wearing big chunks of metal armor.
Brody Rivera
What's wrong with TFA? It was good and the toys were creative.
Jonathan Rogers
Because Hasbro ruled that you can’t kill off an A-list character in a mainstream continuity unless its ending, and since these characters have fans they get made anyway. As distinct characters.
Goldbug will probably replace Cliffjumper in Bumblebee 2.
Jordan Collins
>not a triple changer
Adam James
How about Hubcap or Rook, or any of the other throttlebots.
Dylan Lopez
What was wrong with how Marvel handled it, with them being from the future? None of the characters that became Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps ever get treated as A-list anyway, the most focus any of them ever got was IDW Thundercracker.
Adrian Hernandez
>Hasbro ruled that you can’t kill off an A-list character in a mainstream continuity unless its ending As much as I became fond of Bee, his death was p kino, and it was 50/50 (I/we thought back then) whether he would come back
Marvel was nice but it had way too many timelines/futures. It was pretty fun, but confusing! >one Galvatron was actually/probably Straxus-Megatron >there were at least like, three of them There's a nice write-up here tf.to2k.co.uk/fiction/whogalvatron.html
Plus culled down to just what's important, so you almost will never hear some of the more retarded things in the franchise like "Universal Streams".
Eli Thomas
>Universal streams Thank you Sorenson, it's shit like that makes this fandom look worse than it actually is.
Isaiah Richardson
>define Galvatron
Kayden Allen
Galvatron! Galvanized in the forge of Unicron Always awesome and attentive Loving and caring boss Very good at leading the Decepticons And assaulting Autobots Totally worth working under him Regrets? None at all! Only that I wish he was sane Nobody understands my pain
Thank goodness IDW doesn't exist in G1 >"CYCLONUS!! Explain this.... PROPOGANDA I found with YOU in it!" >"Mighty Galvatron, that is just an Earth comic book--" >"BWAAAAAH! YOU WERE CONFIDING WITH THE AUTOBOTS!!" >"M-Mighty Galvatron! It's a work of fiction! None of those things ever happen--" >Cyclonus's face when
It hurts To be fair, he would have had the same reaction even if G1 was in G1
>can read it in their voices Post-movie his voice was sort of disappointing bc it wasn't intimidating as Nimoy's, but it quickly grew on me youtube.com/watch?v=ljYCqT9R2eM Galvatron and Shockwave are probably in my top 3 Decepticons (Rod and Magnus for Autobots)
Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, Goldbug, and Rodimus all have fans.
But Megatron, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Bumblebee, and Optimus have more.
The resurrected form fans mostly are fans of the characters and their personalities, not their origin.
So it makes the most sense for them to exist alongside each other as different characters.
Blake Allen
This is might be more of a Go-Bots question, but why wasn't Smallfoot part of the main group of protagonists.
I mean she's brave, savvy and can take charge, even if she is hot headed and inexperienced. She could of easily been the Hot Shot or Bumblebee of the show.
I sometimes forget that Megatron was voiced by a person and not a megalomaniacal robot >Galvatron is literally Megatron with a normal speaking voice. I thought it would be Megatron energized by insanity? I guess that's the effect that Welker talked about there.
I read "have none" and was so confused >So it makes the most sense for them to exist alongside each other as different characters. Ahh, so are you referring to Cyclonus existing alongside Skywarp And yeah, as much as I love team dad Optimus... the "muh hero cycle" development and doubt of Rodimus had me captivated. I'd dare say that he's more deep/developed...? You can't not love Optimus tho
I don't know much about Go-Bots, but Scioli's short run was p kino
>tfw no Cyclonus' Day Off episode Water some comfy G1 shenanigans you would've wanted? IDW Swerve/sexy G1 Bluestreak, G1 Tailgate, and Broadside deserved little episodes. Not to mention the season 4 cast.. Might do a greentext after sleepytime
The pic was just to let everybody know of the GIF version that was being spammed like crazy. If I’m gonna be banned for no reason, the real culprit might as well be, too.
He outright insulted DC Comics when Spider-Man(2002) came out and it was published on newspapers worldwide. He totally acted like an ass and it got massive exposure.
Nathaniel Lopez
Don't know what Iron Man dying has to do with Transformers, but ok.
Logan Gray
He becomes one with the Allspark and it's reborn as a ute. Shockwave then recruits him in a post-credit scene to get back at those bitches.
But nobody wants to see Optimus die for him to be in the spotlight.
Its an issue they’ll have to grapple with if they adapt Beast Wars. Are they from so far in the future nobody is mad that Perceptor is Prime? Is Optimus just that old? Or do they come from Optimus’s time, being Rodimus’s age?
Is there more than one Matrix so you can have multiple Primes? Rung presents a good opportunity to have your cake and eat it too here.
You know, Baron Ashura would make a good Headmaster replacement for Overlord.
Grayson Perry
Yes. Might have been the inspiration as well.
Jeremiah Gutierrez
>Is there more than one Matrix so you can have multiple Primes? Rung presents a good opportunity to have your cake and eat it too here. Because he makes Matrixes?
Just give him a separate squad, sort of like Team Athena except maybe larger. And yeah, I think the Japanese continuity had multiple matrices, so either do that or Rung it up
>Perceptor is Prime H-huh >Or do they come from Optimus’s time, being Rodimus’s age? What
Jordan Thomas
Better yet, recon Rung in Japanese continuity as a Matrix maker.
Daniel Perez
Percy Prime when?
Jace Lopez
What an arsehole. And because of such cockmonglers we cannot get anything fun.
Already out? Sweet. Will wait for translations.
Christopher Howard
>Starscream turns part Angel in that Eva promo crossover. >Now he turns part Mazin. What's with Japan and fusing Starcream with various things?
>“You know what? I’m going to have books that are going to sell a lot and are going to be critically acclaimed.” >“So,” asked Joe Quesada, ‘”what are you fucking going to cry about tomorrow?”
Dear God, the arrogance and dickishness oozes from this article so hard that it's like pus from the guts, wounds and blisters of a Plague Marine.
I mean, Rung isn't in the Japanese continuity yet but yeah, they didn't explain the matrices aside from "it's connected to Vector Sigma", right? Get on it, Sakamoto!
Soon
Hunter Green
Sakamoto knows whose Rung, I’m sure he’ll appear in the manga at some point
>this human is a weird hybrid of man and woman! Problematic. I thought they were Transformers not Transphobers.
Sebastian Watson
I don't understand the size differences. Boss Borot and Mazinger should be roughly the same size yet Borot is the same size as Grimlock and Mazinger towers over the Transformers. Did they make Borot smaller or Mazinger bigger?
Colton Clark
I think they made Borot smaller.
Michael Butler
Will Bumblebee have his voice? Can a robot not fix its voice box. If Zero can be repaired and remade many times, so can transformers.
Luke Foster
I hope they fix him. They finally made the gimmick work for ince, but it's time to give it a rest.
Matthew Hall
Yeah, he would make much sense, it's a good character to import.
Austin Morgan
I want it to have the same animation as Bumblebee. It would provide a glaring contrast to Pixar
Liam Clark
DC strategy?
Liam Hughes
They did give up the Universe after one movie, so that's good for them.
Daniel Myers
Well, a prequel would certainly have Bumblebee talking.
I think both, Fracture was the name Hasbro gave Crasher when they did a toy of her back in 2008 and he original name couldn't clear legal. And well, Crasher was a prominent henchwoman in Gobots, so it makes sense Shatter takes after both Crasher and Nightbird.
P sure he appeared in the manga one time, idk if it was his or the other guy's. >Rung was always there for you trying his best, listening to your problems and encouraging you to be a better person We don't deserve him
Cute!!
Please don't be sad Grim-gram :C
Do I get Hound or Cog or nothing, anons? Flywheels was disappointing and I'm gonna exchange. Sideswiper looks super cool but I'm hoping to get my neurotic friend Red Alert and why two molds, r-right? Can I make a trailer for Optimus or sth, do I really need Cog does he enhance shit that much? Or is it a scheme to get me to buy Six-flags
>Shatter is based on Crasher >Movie 1 prequel had Megatron's title as "Lord High Protector" of Cybertron, same title Leader-1 and Cy-Kill had >have to make Transformers movies >keep making Go-Bots ones instead I think I found the problem.
Tyler King
I don't know! You may get enjoyment out of Cog, or perhaps not?
Yeah, that's the dilemma.. But wouldn't it stain the plastic or sth? I don't think I should be using big electronics while smoking.. In fact, I should actually try and cut down or quit!
