I want season 8 to be the last, and let it end on a solid high note.

Believe it or not I'm actually feeling Captain Gentleman and Billy's mom. She's the one woman he doesn't disrespect and it's fun to see him treat her like a young girl

Tic! Tic! TIC!
I hope they bring back Blind Rage.
The idea of Daredevil just being a douchebag who uses his senses to fuck with people is hilarious to me.
I hope Dr. Orpheus appears more in season 8, dude's been seriously underused since season 4 ended.
I’m pretty sure Blind Rage is dead
What's the best episode to introduce some one to Venture Bros and why is it Ghosts of the Sargasso?
Maybe. For a show that always has high stakes and mortal fear, they rarely actually kill a character. You always think they're dead and they come back. Publick and Hammer are so good with such a tired trope, I love it.
They'll bring him back as a zombie.
Because of the Bowie references.
Season 8's main plot will be Hank going around trying to find his mom. Wacky hijinks ensue. Monarch and Rusty will struggle to come to grips with the fact that they're related maybe
There will be some form of time travel shenanigans, leading up to Hank becoming scare bear and showing his past self that dean is fucking his gf
>not escape to the house of mummies part II
That is a good one. Maybe Tag Sale, You're It if your friend is already into geeky lore. You get to see all the rogues and it's a fucking blast.
As a general rule, I try not to speculate or overhype because that just leads to disappointment. I want Dean to continue growing into a mature(r) and cynical adult who leaves behind Super Science and I want Hank to continue going deep into being a gentleman adventurer and dragging Dean back from a life of normalcy because no one actually escapes their crazy family.
Other than that, more flashbacks to the swinging seventies and seeing why Doc is fucked in the head and continuing to kill the mythic god-king of his father.
Hopefully Season 8 is Hank going to find his mom and just hitchhiking/hobopacking his way across the country and running into the Superscience fallout of the world, I always kind of liked the fact that while Superscience and magic didn't really take the world in a massively different path it's still trickled down to common people in fucked up little ways.
My theory is that Monarch is na wierd chimera made of Morpho, his mom, and Jonas. And the worst part of it is that Jonas didn't really have to contribute any of his DNA but felt entitled to leave some kind of signature on what he thought was good work
Best episode is PROM, the show could've ended there if they wanted and it'd be hard to argue that it wasn't the best ending they could've given it. My biggest complaint about the latest seasons is that Up until Season 5 (If you count All This and Gargantua-2 as the true finale) are perfect climaxes to both the season and series, Season 6 Peters out, though the Morpho Trilogy might count since they wanted that as the season finale and didn't realize they accidentally had Gargantua-2 as 2 of the Season's episodes.
Worst Episode is hard to finger because the worst episodes are just really lame, but in the sense they're unmemorable not aggravating. So maybe State Dinner or Spanikopita
Didn't see him die, so until it's confirmed he's alive.
House of Mummies is great but it's also the best way to fuck a person's expectations.
season 7 blu rays when, I need those sweet sweet commentaries
One of the things I love about this god tier fucking show is how newer episodes help me appreciate older episodes so much more. Every time I do a rewatch of the seasons, it was always hard to get through "Careers In Science". Maybe it's Bud's character. I don't know. A lot happens, but it always felt like a drag to me. But now that it's integral to the plot it's a lot more fun to watch.
State Dinner is good for quotes. The boys are a little too retarded in that episode though. I love Spanikopita! All the top tier nerding out between Billy and St. Cloud is great. Plus they further exemplified the shittiness of Jonas Sr. a little more
scare bear
Scare Bear is nobody. He's just the ultimate conclusion of a masked vigilante who wishes to strike fear and terror into the hearts of villains. He helped Hank both because he's a good guy despite appearances and he too likes Batman
Imo State Dinner isn't that bad. "Am I the only one here who cares about perimeters?" I think Love-Bheits is the worst episode just because of the weird premise but even then it has its moments.
I hope in season 8 we get an episode with the family traveling to some exotic place, a Hank and Dean brotherly reunion, and more Orpheus. I'd also like to see the return of Prof. Incorrigible, Mol, Triana. If it's the last season I hope it ends with Rusty realizing he has a good life with good friends and being genuinely happy and selfless. Maybe he realizes his dad was an awful dick and has a chance to show the world it isn't all his fault for being a fuckup and still chooses to let the world keep their image of Jonas.
Side note, but did the members of old Team Venture actually like Jonas? Do they ever show any regret for the way they treated Rusty or what they allowed Jonas to get away with? I feel like they did but I can't think of any examples.
what about his daughter tho?
state dinner is eh but honestly i think the illuminati episode from season 7 is the worst one hands down.
>season 8
I just hope it ends tastefully. It's been on a long time and never had a quality drop, who knows how much longer they can keep that up?

This show has so many good moments that I honestly couldn't pick anything.
> i think the illuminati episode from season 7 is the worst one hands down.
I found it inoffensive, but I was shocked that they didn't delve into the Illuminati Members, especially Mark Hamill's character. Dude must be secret president.
There’s pretty strong hints that the moment Gathers and Brock left the room, the simulation began.
The silhouettes were ALL people Rusty has met before. Brisby makes sense in the illuminati, but the tijuana doctor from episode 1 was there, and so was an old halloween costume Rusty wore once - with an afro and glasses.
There were some other hints later on, the latin on the banners at the sex party were all slightly off because Rusty is kinda shit at latin.
Didn't you see the post credits scene? The Illuminati was fake, Gathers and Brock tricked Rusty with a VR setup and an Autoblow. The OSI just didn't want the hassle of protecting Rusty from oil tycoons and car corporations as well as supervillains.
Absolutely. As recently as season 7. When he presented Venturion to them they were repulsed and basically told him to fuck off with it. I mean team venture aren’t saints, but they are much more humane than Jonas. Jonas is just a god damn monster sociopath with a big dick.
Too late; besides the pretty neat resolution of the previous season's hanging storyline, the last season was all over the place and mostly a waste
Oh man. I fucking LOVE the Illuminati episode. It was way better than it had any right to be. Hey he captive unicorn dialogue made it rock solid on its own. Shit gave me goosebumps. I think you should watch it again, user.
I liked SPANIKOPITA
Disagree 100%. Might be my favorite season to date actually. If anything it suffered from the post-season 4 short season format. Felt like it had way more stories to tell.
So you didn't like how they wrapped up the Jonas Sr. thing?
I did. But I’d hardly consider it wrapped up since OSI has his frozen head now. Obviously some shit is going to go down.
Agreed. Everything was a simulation copout ending so the OSI can keep humanity in the dark ages. Total shit. God season 7 was a clusterfuck of half-baked ideas. I want them to end this show instead of dragging out another long wheel-spinning season all about the minutiae of fictional organizations.
My only problem with the most recent season is it lacked over the top violence and action. Only one real Brock moment (which was phenomenal) and...what other action scenes were there? Lawn darts? Disabling a weather machine counts I guess.
Well morpho trilogy had it but that really feels more like its own thing.
But in the early seasons there was such a sense of ADRENALINE. This world has shit like zombie armies and giant pterodactyls and every comic and movie cliche you can think of. There can be so much more excitement and onscreen battles with all of that.
I love all the ongoing character stuff, I think it’s fucking fantastic. But I feel like the show had this OOMPH to it once that isn’t really in 8.
I blame the lack of expendable henchmen.
The show's schtick of going to the edge of some exciting idea or tense action and then cutting away so an unrelated character can blather on to save money is wearing thin. I don't give two craps about the levels of henching and the security code to the venture bathrooms or any of that lore garbage. Just fun exciting action.

Billy is gonna knock someone on their ass. Maybe Action Man or Gentlemen. Either will think it's hilarious and they'll be friends because of it.

Watch and Ward. I want an episode about them.
I’m stoked about Billy and Rusty getting more involved. Guess my hope for s8 is they go on crazy adventures. Kinda hope they do it cause they enjoy it, when Rusty’s actually enjoying all the crazy bullshit he’s actually pretty darn good at it.
Would like to see new and old team venture go on an adventure together just for the hell of it. Feels like there’s a lot that could be done with that.
Spanakopita is one of the episodes with the biggest split among fans.
I like the concept and seeing the occasional positive thing about Rusty's past that still works as sad and messed up. But the execution is a bit eh; it's a boring episode, Harrihausenesque sequence or not
careers in science has the most lore attached to it (thanks to the season 7 premiere) and sums up rusty's relationship with his father pretty well too
the were-odile episide is pretty bad imo. also spanikopita!
I hope there's an episode that helps details all the great things about Jonas sr. It seems like he gets so much hate around here when in reality we don't know THAT much about what he actually did wrong. All the characters in this series aren't good or evil and run into they grey. Yeah, the morpho trilogy showed he was a shitter, but has he really fucked up more lives than say Dr. Z? It's relative to only what we, the audience, have been shown.
>Best episode is PROM
Watching Prom when it aired was one of the most tense moments in any show i think ive ever watched. No news on if it was being renewed and with how the show is i actually believed it could have ended in some sad moment of everyone dead and Brock alone.
That episode is a mess though; even Hammer and Publick acknowledge it
The final scene with fucking Pulp in the background culminating in the Treister-in-space shot and credits roll is just glorious. The peak of the show right there
When is Brock going to fuck Mrs. The Monarch?
I know the general joke is that you're supposed to catch yourself finding her attractive every now and then despite the voice, but it never works for me. I'm 100% a voice guy, it's just a complete deal breaker
>season 8 wishes, theories, predictions
Less reliance of references, I feel they just threw it in your face at season seven, where it was a lot more subtle in comparison before.

I can't actually imagine her without her voice anymore.

This, I always skip this episode
This, Her voice is part of the charm. It would be weird for her to have a different one.
No I mean I like the character; I just can't find herself attractive, which is half the character's schtick
Never really cared for her.
