Let's be real, he is a better villain than Thanos. You have to be a real badass to throw your brother out a skyscraper window and have a demon rip your father to shreds. I mean sure, Thanos threw his daughter off a cliff, but he was a pussy showing remorse about it.

The truth is: Sivana has a decent motivation but as the movie progresses he ultimately devolves into a boring "hurr durr I'll take over the world" retard.

This. The movie even makes fun of him for being so generic.

They're relatively similar, really. They both want power in order to achieve some kind of personal catharsis for something they're not satisfied with in their past. For Sivana, it was revenge against his family and the wizard, and showing he could have what was denied to him and flip the power dynamic. For Thanos, it was vindication of his past idea to implement population culling on his own planet, by "fixing" the universe in the way he wanted to fix his planet.

I liked how he treated Billy. He felt he was above him and was willing to kill to get what he wanted but he still talked to him like a peer, he treated him like a person even if they were enemies.

For brief moments, he was pretty much the best live-action Lex Luthor we've ever had.

I'm a DC fan but you cannot compare Dr. Sivana to Thanos. It's comparing a really good yet low-budget/stakes family movie to the biggest cinematic event of the year.

Huge Marvel fan here, Shazam was nearly as good as Infinity War

Honestly I was wondering why he was so similar to Lex, might as well have the guy be Luthor then. Even without actually being Luthor he was better at it than whatever the hell Jesse Steinberg was doing.
