With Endgame on the horizon, can we take a minute to look back at one of the best superhero cartoons, and perhaps the best Marvel cartoon, ever to grace television? It's a shame the things started to fall apart near the end due to studio interference, and the Surtur plot never got resolved, but at least it had a conclusion unlike Spectacular Spider-Man. Which speaking of Spider-Man, it's an absolute crime that Keaton's lines were dubbed over in favor of Drake Bell's because Ultimate Spider-Man was in production. EMH's also gave us
>Best Wasp
>Best Carol
>Great story arcs
So what are your thoughts?
AVENGERS: EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES
The show could've taken on DCAU's Justice League. Its sudden cancellation was a crime.
I wish we got a Thor spin off show because the Asgard stuff was always the most interesting thing about the show
Thor was always hype. I wish the movies were a fraction of what EMH Thor was. Also we got Beta Ray Bill too
I hope this series is on Disney+ also Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine & the X-Men.
Just a reminder that this was the first and last animated series with a white Heimdall.
Best Vision
Best Villains
Great Spidey
Hell, that cartoon made the Photon Shield awesome.
FOREVER FIGHT AS ONE
Does Malekith appear? I found his comic character to be very intriguing.
Yep, I think he even makes the joke about Ironman not having much Iron in his suit. It’s been so long since I’ve watched this show
There's another reality where Loeb never got appointed head of Marvel TV, this show continued to make it big, and the showrunners built a whole anmated universe of shows around it, including a Spider-Man one and a GotG one. There'd even have multi-part crossover stories across them and shit.
Man, FUCK that universe.
>we never got the X-Men episode
>we never got the Captain Universe Wasp episode
>we never got Pym, Hulk, Jan and Clint getting the powers of the F4 episode
>we never got the Werewolf Cap episode
Fuck this reality man
Yeah he tries to freeze the planet over with The Casket of Ancient Winters so he can release the souls of Dark Elves. Black Panther makes a joke about vibranium apparently working just as good as iron against Malekith
I say we count our blessings consider what good shit we got.
>Skrull Invasion
>Ultron
>Kang
>HYDRA with everyone you could want underneath
>Loki with The Odinforce
>Galactus (albeit rushed)
>Doctor Doom fucking soloing the entire Avengers and telling them to get off his fucking lawn
>Doctor Doom fucking soloing the entire Avengers and telling them to get off his fucking lawn
AND the Fantastic Four.
They only did that "concept art" for shits and giggles though.
Not just the Avengers, but 3 of the F4 as well, also I’d add to that list
>the avengers scattered across the nine realms
>The Ballad of Beta Ray Bill
>Gamma World
>The New Avengers episode
>The Masters Of fucking Evil
>Strucker, Zola and MODOK
>Simon Williams the Wonder Man
>Pym needing out over all things science
>Pym as Yellow Jacket
>Zeno being a fucking badass
Baron Zemo was based for the entire show's duration. The Masters of Evil were one of the best parts
I’m sure that concept art was for future episodes that we never got user
And I'm sure it wasn't, especially since one of them had ROM in it. As in, the guy they don't have rights to.
I’m not 100% sure, but I believe Marvel sold off the rights to ROM maybe a year or two after this show was canceled, I’m super casual when it comes to ROM though, so I could be wrong.
Also would like to add:
>Best portrayal of Black Widow
>Ultron fucking killing Thor
>Kang the conqueror done perfectly
>That time Wasp became a cute bug monster
>Best portrayal of Black Panther
>The team up episode with the Guardians of the galaxy
>Graviton of all people being the first threat they face
>A better version of Secret Empire than the one we got in the comic by a long shot
Also
>Madam Hydra
>Absorbing Man taking on the same properties of Thor’s hammer and paying for it
>Vision knocking Thor the fuck out with an orbital drop
>Purple Man using Stark Tech to take over the world
>best Red Skull
>Madame Hydra
L-lewd!
God, he’d have torn MCU Thanos’ apart
Can't forget the Wasp. Those two were the best. Jan was way too good for Pym
Who does Widow date in this?
I got you user
skrull fucking shit
Is this ever going to come back? Disney sucks at making cartoons on their own.
Mostly Hawkeye, but I don’t really remember her having any kind of relationship hang ups in the series
EMH Thor was fucking great
youtube.com
It was a good effort by Marvel but I was never really bowled over by it. It was leagues better than what they're putting out currently and definitely watchable though.
Based anons. Sivana approved
Glad they followed Welcome to the Kree Empire for Carol's MCU debut.
It had a better Luke Cage and Iron Fist than the entirety of the Netflix shows
>best asses
eh, I dissagree, This version of Pym was really enjoyable and there wasn't a Tigra for him to be happy with either.
don't forget how amazingly sexy Amora was
Why did they have to kill this show
It was good. Real good. Maybe even the best.
anyone got a webm of Jan gooed? Asking...for a friend
god...watching this makes me hate what Fraction did to Hawkeye so much more. I miss when Clint was shown to be competent, sure he made jokes but he was a very good Avenger.
I like a lot this show, but they abused of the "it was not me, it was a guy that take my place" plot.
Love that bit where he’s trying to hit an impossible target while the other avengers take bets on if he’ll miss, it comes to Cap and he’s like “I haven’t seen him miss yet”. Then when the arrow gets shot, the power goes out and you hear Clint “Did I hit it!?”
.....You mean the entire point of Secret Invasion?
"Dinosaurs? And I wasted my time saving Iron Man?"
"Excuse me!?"
That always gets me. The complete shock from Tony from hearing that is just absolutely perfect.
I'm petty sure that they used that idea other times. But maybe not. I don't know, I have't watched it in years.
God tier intro
Love how they showed the roaster change
