What's with Andy?

I started rewatching this cartoon and boy it's actually better than I remember. I watched it at night in the past few days and it makes me forget about my average everyday problems

Your pic there is from one of the best episodes, and one of the only great ones in season 2. Unsurprisingly it was by one of the few leaf writers who also worked on season 1, and he did one of the other great ones in S2 as well.

Fuck man this brings me back. I always disliked this show as a kid, I wouldn't know now. I also recall some 3D cartoon with space soccer in it airing at the same time

He was a closeted prankster. And Andy was his prank on the world.

To be fair, his dad was always a bit more receptive to it than his mom, laughing along or even going with it very occasionally.

Here's a summary of Andy's pranking backstory over the seasons:

Season 1: Andy's grandpa is secretly a prankster, and nobody knew until Andy found out at the end of the episode.
Season 2: Andy's dad was a mystery prankster until his school caught him and forced him to undergo intensive therapy, literally brainwashing him into stopping.
Season 3: Grandpa was always a prankster, and Andy's dad had always hated it. The episode focuses on Andy getting gramps back into pranking after a rough patch in his life.

Moral(s) of the story: fuck season 3, Canada ruins everything.

Oh fuck, Galactik Football I remember that. The coach's eyebrows' design always bugged me. It did have some fine alien women, though.
Jen was made for a good ol-fashioned hatefuck.

Only season 1 is pure gold writing-wise, though the soundtrack in season 2 is absolute top tier. (Season 1 barely has a soundtrack and the theme is overrated because most people only know that one, S2's is way better.)

Season 3 has a few decent episodes but is mostly a pile of shit because it was entirely Canadian. Including the animation and music

wait a second, in the aforementioned episode in season 3 when Andy gets his granddad back into pranking they get pranked by Andy’s dad at the end of the episode, and Andy’s dad says no one can make a fool out of him, since he was a prankster too once

Andy had oneitis, just like Anakin, who should’ve give in to the temptation of orange buttcheeks and ditch Padmeme

It was alright, dunno you guys placing season 1 in a pedestal, decent time waster but nothing special.

...The crossdressing episode where he gets his sister's crush as an unwanted admirer did help me realize a fetish at a young age though.

Basically every episode in season 1 was excellent - that's why it so good, really high average quality. Even the somewhat boring gnome holiday ep had great bits at the beginning and end of it.

Season 2 was really hit-and-miss, though when the hits landed they landed on a season 1 level if not better. Mind Games and the finale really stand out, and both are by the same writer, who also did season 1's best episode Teen Dreamboats. Plus like I said, the music in this season is just criminally underrated.

Season 3 is just bad though, sorry user.

I don't recall that bit, but it's an even bigger clusterfuck then since Andy's dad wouldn't just reveal that shit according to the season 2 ep, he was really worried about it getting out.

the holiday gnome episode was scary for me as a kid

he got pranked by granddad’s trap iirc then said “no one is going to make a fool out of Al Larkin”, you know when you say something only to yourself
then he pranks back with some lame prank
Andy even notes “that was your best?” since he knew his dad was the mystery prankster

The first season isn't that forgotten, it actually aired in the US and is even on DVD (albeit in some random country).

The other seasons definitely are, though.

I watched a few episodes of 402. Couldn't take any more, there was literally one funny joke per episode and nothing else to carry the show at all.

WWA season 1 has a brilliant joke every minute, and some ridiculously creative stories.

I love KFR402 too but I think its humor is way different
