Did i fucking missed an episode or something? They just had Marco and Kelly break up off screen? This show is so fucking random, you will have them share a bonding episode only to break them apart off screen. Can't waif for another bullshit episode where Tom is suddenly mentioning that he broke with Star and already date Jackie for no reason. Nefcy had an idea for 2 season and now its just different writers coming up with random episodes with almost no story to tie em up together. I think Teen Titans GO is more coherent with their story arcs.
RANT about a SHIT SHOW

Makes you think why the show will be canceled.
Is marco the forces of evil?
Where did Heckapoo's tits go? Why is she suddenly flat chested?
modern women aren't allowed to have big tits
With monster arm hopefully
>Heckapoo has huge tits in all her appearances
>changes outfits
>Suddenly flat as a board
So was there a feminist meltdown about DA MALE GAAAAAAZE or something that resulted in Heckapoo's breast reduction redesign?
that episode in particular was not good.
The artists are just too shitty to draw logo shirts on three dimensional tits
You know, that's an even worse excuse than some "male gaze, etc." reason. Disney artists have gotten so bad that they can't warp text across a rounded surface. That's a new low.
It's not that they can't, it's that they won't. The show isn't at all about quality animations, and the budget reflects that.
We were all expecting that ship to sink in favor of Starco but that’s just a new low on lazy writing. If they were gonna just break them up offscreen, what was even the point of the shipping episodes between last and this season?
>hekapoo is flat
is Jackie the only character in this cartoon with some curves?
I unironically want Marco to die just so this shit ends
why are you watching a cartoon for children for girls with curves?
What, they already sank Kelly and didn't even give her an episode? Just did it offscreen?
Booo, fuck that. I knew she wasn't endgame but Kelly a cute, deserved better than to be in this shitshow.
Where do you even think we are, user?
I'm genuinely glad the show is ending at this point
Glad I didn't get invested in this show from what a wreck this last season seems to be just from glimpsing these threads. Having main characters splitting offscreen when so much of the audience is clearly clinging to all that is pretty shit.
So few cartoons get real satisfying ends.
I was actually pretty hyped to see them...
Literally what went wrong?
interracial couples aren't allowed to be evil
Man this shitshow makes Tangled look like Gargoyles
She probably wears a pushup bra.
Makes me miss Tamora and Aaron, Shakespeare's obscenely evil power couple
Nothing, she was always just a ditz who dated a bad boy. Just got blown way out of proportion back then. Her spells were always darker but there weren't really any specific acts of evil pointed out.
Bustier squishes her gut fat upwards.
They were essentially G-rated friends with benefits, it's not like they committed to any kind of real relationship.
Just using each other emotionally and physically until they got over their respective breakups. If anything, this is probably the most normal outcome beyond a long drawn out love triangle.
Yep, it was fucking ridiculous even compared to the rest of inanity already happening, which says a lot. Watch Kelly basically die now and never appear again. This show now feels like someone took the final episode of Samurai jack and stretched it into two seasons just to torment people who care.
Tangled may be pretty black and white with its morality but at least it knows what it wants.
why the fuck does Kelly exist? she's from another dimension and has nothing to do with the plot
Isn't this fanart?
If it were, Hekapoo wouldn't be that flat.
What ep?
Girls in adult cartoons are drawn as ugly as possible/have a weird "unique" design and their faces look like Muppets
She seems more like a rebellious teen that specifically went after the boys her mother hated the most. Each monster she dated was really
>Look mom! I'm so different and shocking!"
>Heckapoo redesigned to have a flat chest
Feminism sucks.
People expected him to act evil and start eating people as soon as he was free. It never occurs to fans that he and Eclipsa are in cahoots, Meteora is their child and this was all a plan to seize control of the kingdom. It's an evil family that's about to drop the nice act.
it's a kid's show
it's a show for kids
why are you all arguing about flat chests and story consistency
>why are you discussing a show you like
fuck of you absolute retard.
Friends with benefits who, before becoming so, admitted that they had feelings for each other and the only thing keeping them from acting on it was their emotional baggage. That deserved more than an offscreen breakup. This is why you don’t pull this shit in your final season
This show has basically become that someone watched the last episode of Samurai Jack and said ‘hold my beer’
>stop criticizing my shitty show you assholes get a life!
Fuck off Daron, you horse faced hack
I feel like the half of the writers thought that KellyCo and TomStar is the end game while Eclipsa suppose to be evil while the other half of the writers think that StarCo suppose to be an end game while Eclipsa is just a good misunderstood Juliette being in love with a monster Romeo.
This is just a mess epsecially if oyu add random Ponyhead episodes or other filler shit. Like whats even the main antagonist of the S3 and S4?? it like they just waste time shipping main characters only to break ships and then reunite old characters again. We could have literally remove any episode after Battle for Mewni and barely anything would change
No, Mina is.
>Like whats even the main antagonist of the S3 and S4?
S3 opened by concluding Toffee, then moved on to Meteora.
S4 is probably heading toward Glossaryck at this point.
Its just a mess now. It was a great show when there was no shipping or when it was only a very subtle thing in S2. But once they focused on romance and had Marco officially date Jackie it turn into shit.
So he gets together with Jackie, then right away gets bored with it and goes after Star, but then she got tired of him and get with Tom, meanwhile Marco flirst with Hekapoo, then get together with Kelly, then he cucks Tom and kiss Star, then he bond and become a friend with benefit with Kelly and now they broke up of screen while Star still wants to bang Marco.
Yes we went from "DAWW This human boy and Mewni girl look cute together" to "FUCK THAT BITCH STAR AND FUCK THAT MANWHORE MARCO"
I fee like the original idea was to make Eclipsa and the monster EVIL but then after Trump was elected, Nefcy wanted to teach us about interacial romance an that Black people are good, so now All monsters are good and white Mewni nobles are evil.
Are they both dating each other? LESBIAN BIKERS!
I haven't seen season 4... is it worth watching at this point? Or did it went to shit like SU with it's bullshit?
I wish it was a show for kids and not tumblr nutjobs. Shows for kids created Gadget in Rescue Rangers or Callie Briggs in Swat Cats
it's bad and just disappointment after disappointment
>Kellcofags BTFO!
Based.
Its like the last season of Voltron
This show is so messed up i have no doubt Nefcy will ruin StarCo in the end
>S4 is probably heading toward Glossaryck
It's the crazy knight chick, her bird, and the giant robot she is building. Then the two groups pull an all in this together magic of friendship to beat her. The end.
True, doesn't try to re-invente the water, but is consistently decent.
Might as well ruin it, Marco doesn't deserve anyone at the end. Let that fucker go back to his family and let him do what he wants to do at the end. Who am I kidding...that fucker is going to blow his own brains out.
Slightly later than that. It's was the Trump anti Mexican immigrant stuff in 2017 that caused the storyboarders to jump into full "We much teach the masses!" mode and start using monsters as a stand in for honest hard-working downtrodden and hated mexicans, and mewmans as completely useless, uneducated hate-filled suburban, cannot live on their own and never built anything in their lives stupid white people.
But why off screen?
Why bother introducing Kelly if she was only barely going to be part of the cast? Why bother setting up some kind of thing with Marco and cultivate it into a friends with benefits scenario only to then immediately destroy it off screen without so much as another episode dedicated to their falling out?
I just don't understand it.
>StarCo
>Not Tomco
Mark my words!
Why is Rhombulus suddenly portrayed as such a weakling this season? I thought he was supposed to be pretty powerful.
I blame the Mexicans for this.
ABANDON THIS BULLSHIT AND WATCH TANGLED
>puppet tween animation
fuck off shill
Whelp, the show has a mexican director and three mexican storyboarders
>>Calarts beanmouth and shipping bullshit
I'll take puppet tweens, good values and Alan Menken thank you very much
Marco is starting to look like a real piece of shit. His track record alone for dating is horrible. Soon as he got with Jackie all the episodes seemed about star.
He leaves earth, just fucking ghost his whole life. Then when he goes to be a knight hits star with the whole "I can't stay on Mewni forever what about all the things I'm ignoring?"
Please watch our show (COMING REALLY SOON!)
>and mewmans as completely useless, uneducated hate-filled suburban, cannot live on their own and never built anything in their lives stupid white people.
fuck, that was the whole point behind the Maisleys episode
Show the audience that Americans are worthless fucks addicted to tv and suburban life that have no idea how to wipe their own asses.
This is what happens when a director checks out and you are left with multiple teams of boarders that each have their own story they are trying to tell and they are not really communicating with each other. And they have to very quickly pop out an explanation for a plot point in one episode to not exist in another.
Team A likes Marco being competent, hooking up with Kelly and remembers that he is actually a 50 something that adventured for decades
Team B thinks he is still the normal guy comedy fodder for the weird stuff to pick on and does not like the Kelly thing because it makes him less one dimensional as a comedy prop
Team C is probably very new and does not really know much about the character arcs since they were recent hires in the latest season and only really knows the most superficial aspects of the characters.
Funny thing is that most Mexican illegal immigrants don't come to the US to work, they come for the free health care and welfare checks that they receive in sanctuary cities or blue states like California. And the whole reason they fled Mexico in the first place is because they were too stupid/lazy to work and earn a living.
The whole show turned into pic related with tons of ship drama
Don't pretend like that Kelly shit actually improves Marco's character somehow. It was pure self-insertion
Yeah and suddenly Monsters are not just the Mexicans and Niggers but also are treated as Native Americans that deserve respect because they won the land before.
I don't believe you.
Haven't hung out with many mexicans have you? They repeat the myth that all 100% of Americans are lazy dumb office job employees that want to do absolutely nothing. And they need latinos around to do all the labor everywhere because no American even knows how to do anything work related whatsoever.
Since all American media is made by Californians, Trump Derangement Syndrome essentially destroyed every single movie and television series for the next 4-8 years. This isn't going away any time soon.
The Ducktales crew went full insane mode at this as well. They were on twitter making solidarity posts over and over again for a while.
Didn't they do this with Bush for a long time too?
Trips confirm. Thats also why i'm only going to watch anime after MLP ends. That was the last old school cartoon that didn't push far left ideas but was either balanced politically or ignored politics entirely.
>Didn't they do this with Bush for a long time too?
It was quarantined mostly to the Daily Show, though. Cartoons aimed at kids didn't give a shit save for maybe a gag about Bush being dumb and going to Escalator World in an episode of Fairly Oddparents. It was nothing like we've been getting with Trump, where it's full coverage across every single solitary piece of media imaginable.
Too bad the inverse doesn't happen often, like when Batman from BatB didn't know who Obama was.
>Since all American media is made by Californians, Trump Derangement Syndrome essentially destroyed every single movie and television series for the next 4-8 years.
It's weird, because you can see the woke takeover between sequels of movies. Like The Force Awakens was apolitical and then The Last Jedi was full DRUUMPFF mode. Jurassic World 1 was a dumb action movie but then Jurassic World 2 was WALLS ARE EVIL FREE THE DINOSAURS THEY'RE PEOPLE TOO FUCK DRUUUUMPPPFFF. And then what happened to the MCU.
Because the creator is coming to the end of the story? The show was supposed to end last season but Disney renewed it so they needed to do a filler arc
Basically everything media post 2016. Everything has be to bitching about Trump, walls, trans, or minorities in some way.
Also no one is allowed to simply not be political any longer. Everyone is now REQUIRED to be a part of all things politics and whine and complain endlessly with everyone else too.
I dropped Ducktales after season 1. I noticed something was wrong with a very cringe "facebook tier" humor and zoomer jokes about smart phones and emojis. Then the main triplet characters started to act like some California college onions boys than actual kids and Donald was turned into a background character and a comic relief.
Fuck modern cartoons. Whether its Ducktales or She-Ra or something new like this
Its usually in 99% turn into WOKE garbage. Thats because new cartoons have young creators who most likely were part of the tumblr WOKE brigade in early 2000's so now they grown up and actively ruin modern cartoon and comic industry
God that last episode was disappointing
I really hope Nefcy is just messing with us, I'm not triggered by the racism themes as much as other people but if writers seriously expect me to believe that most people get over their racism so easily and that everything is fine because the people decided who they want their ruler to be and the only real problem left is some crazy super soldier, then I'm seriously disappointed with how naive they are being.
Racism isn't just a personal issue its a systematic and subconscious one, seeing one monster be a good father wouldn't fix the issues between monsters and Mewmans.
Suggesting democracy could somehow be a better solution, first of all people agreeing who they want to be the queen isn't democracy, who even gets to pick? Just the people who support Eclipsa enough already to show up at her coronation? What about the whole communities of refugees she created what not allowed to vote because they fled her bad rule and discrimination against them? Not to mention the obvious problems that would come if the vote to determine who the ruler for life is was close, would Eclipsa really be a good Queen to people who voted against her? Eclipsa wasn't a good queen in the first place.
I hope Mina and hopefully Ludo too are pretty sweet when they attack, but if that was the end of the political plot lines than I'm very disappointed in them
have sex
yeah its almost like anyone and everyone knows they could do a better job than him because everyone else is just as qualified for the job as he was
Neck yourselves
back to your Discord channel, trannie
nah Trump fans just have a prosecution complex so anything that came out after 2016, if it was made by someone who isn't a Trump supporter, which is nearly everyone in the entertainment industry I will grant you, must be an attack on Trump, somehow, no matter the mental gymnastics needed to reach that conclusion
Don't worry. Even though the Mueller Report concluded there was no collusion, the House Democrats are going to go forward with the impeachment process, anyway. DRUMPF'S DAYS ARE NUMBERED!
You know what's a show with no political messages, deep lore, no shipping, and a gay character who ISN'T pandering garbage?
Tangled
This is where I see the bothsame shit. Both sides think that they are on the losing end of some existential war for survival and the evil oppressors will kill them all any day now. Just any minute now the vast hordes of Nazi stormtroopers/Evil brown immigrant Mad Max tranny bandits will roll up and annihilate them all. So they have to be really bitchy and annoying in all forms of media at all times to stave off the conquest one more day.
give me a mega with it and maybe I will look it up
Or MLP, but sadly its the last season this year and next gen is going to be WOKE
and Disney immediately took it off the air, and only sometimes show it on 7am sunday mornings if they can be bothered to remember.
Meanwhile nightly Star Vs and Ducktales marathons every day of the week
But you're a Centrist so you're smarter than they are! I bet you watch South Park because Trey and Matt know the REAL score, right? Just never have an opinion and you can't be wrong. The truth lies somewhere in the middle!
I mean I'm pretty sure they won't impeach him simply because the Republicans would never go along, despite him being plainly guilty of obstruction of justice in the same way Nixon was
but really his crimes don't matter because the whole political system is broken so instead he is gonna have to be voted out of office in 2020
There's some "filler" but that's where a lot of great character growth happens
>Can't waif for another bullshit episode where Tom is suddenly mentioning that he broke with Star and already date Jackie for no reason.
I honestly hope this happens, just because the tumblrite Tom fangirls would be so enraged.
She should consider herself lucky to have gotten to bail out of the shitshow of relationship drama in this show so quickly.
All because Daron Nefcy literally thinks a story has to end if the main characters get together, that there's nothing left to tell afterward. So instead of just having the characters that everybody thought were so cute together in seasons 1 & 2 just get together and go on from there, we got revolving door love triangles to keep them apart. And now they're not even anywhere near as cute together as back at the start because the love triangles have ruined their personalities.
/pol/ is overrun with bots so they have to post here.
Sad!
>All because Daron Nefcy literally thinks a story has to end if the main characters get together, that there's nothing left to tell afterward.
That last season of Kim Possible where Kim and Ron were together really fuckin sucked though, so she may be right.
God, I can't stand that. The Progressive idea that the only reason other people don't agree with them is because they're not "educated" enough.
has anyone noticed the poor animation this season? i got left behind so i just ignored Yea Forums until i caught up. and now i have and this seasons animation quality for some reason strikes me as very poor.
theres also a fair bit of quality control issues with character designs. that evil pie guy contrasts so harshly with everybody else. he literally looks like hes straight out of rick and morty
You're entire human worth boils down to whether or not you have a college degree. And it just so happens that nearly all universities are run by and staffed by liberals. You want a college degree, you have to parrot your liberal professor's rhetoric back at them. And you have no worth as a person unless you have a college degree. So we end up with liberal voter factories.
That'll be $100,000 in tuition and fees, please. Don't worry, you can pay it off with interest over the next 40 years. You don't want people to think you're stupid because you don't have a college degree, do you?
Well, that was the easiest game of "find the butthurt feminist" I've ever played.
I have a college degree and I don't agree with Progressivism but I know I'm in the minority. I just have a way of seeing through bullshit. It makes me kind of a cynical asshole though.
Many such cases!
>that evil pie guy contrasts so harshly with everybody else. he literally looks like hes straight out of rick and morty
he really didn't look that off, you're overreacting
I didn't think that about the pie dude, but I do think a lot of new background/bit part characters this season look like shit. I thought the same thing last season as well.
I feel the animation quality is about the same it's been since S2 though; nothing great/special but passable for a TV cartoon.
I'm not seeing it. His design conforms to the rest of the show's aesthetic.
Ah yes, everything is so much simpler when you can only be a part of one side.
>the last two season
I just can't believe how we move from cool villains like Toffee to Rhombulus and Mina becoming main last season big bads
And how we move from "mysterious looming threat of Eclipsa" into a generic Romeo and Juliette bullshit about prejudice.
Seriously kill yourself Nefcy for killing this show
>Show has been going to shit in the last few seasons
>currently on its final season
>still shit and way too late to right the course before its over
You know what Nefcy's gonna do, right? In the last episode there'll be a gay kiss or a gay hand-holding or a gay wedding or SOMEWHERE there will be two established characters who come out of the closet.
And then every media outlet will praise the series as visionary, progressive and BRAVE. And anyone who continue to criticize it for all its storytelling and production quality failures will be silenced with "Well you just didn't like it because YOU'RE A HOMOPHOBE!"
Legend of Korra did it.
Adventure Time did it.
Voltron Legendary Defender did it.
And mark my words, Star Vs. is gonna do it, too.
I'm really hoping not, it is Disney and they're a little more conservative, no? At best all we got was Cotugno cancer in the form of Star being Bi for her tumblr self Insert Brunzetta. I'm hoping that'll be all there is.
but we need a gay human/monster couple to really seal the deal
>it is Disney and they're a little more conservative, no?
Didn't Star Vs. already have gay kissing during the concert episode? And there's that gay couple who appear in Big City Greens. I think Disney has already gone Full Woke same as Cartoon Network and Netflix.
>and a gay character who ISN'T pandering garbage?
what gay character?
And Cass isn´t gay if that´s who you where talking about.
Lol conservative? Maybe in the 90's. Have you seen the state of WOKE Star Wars and Captain Marvel?
>>Cast, Crew and Writers says she's gay
>>Is constantly shown as butthurt when Rapunzel doesn't shower her with trust praise and affection
>>Only hetero relationship we see her with was a ruse
At this point you're just denying reality
Yep. Finale is the only chance they have since they can go for broke and not have to worry about international distributors cancelling future seasons.
Shit, well here's hoping it's not between any real lead characters. CN's Bubbline bullshit was already fated to happen with the change in writers having a hateboner for Finn.
Korra's was because Brike were utter hacks whose writing was terrible, thus the only surefire way to 'win' was to go with a fan pairing out of nowhere.
VOltron, Netlix...nuff said.
Star Wars, the Nu-movies didn't have any gay characters last I saw, though I only saw Force Awakens.
Captain Marvel (AKA Captain Menstruating Manface) is just another Rey scenario.
That and the episode with her alone with an amnesiac "fresh out of the Tower" Rapunzel with Cass blushing and avoiding eye contact
isn't there some rule about having the same thread up three fucking times or did I miss something?
The previous seasons of Kim Possible also didn't go through a revolving door of love triangles as the means of keeping Kim and Ron from getting together until the intended series finale.
If Starco was always intended to be a "get together at the very end of the series" thing then it as a huge mistake to drop a confession at the halfway point of the series. They should've just waited until near the end to have something like that happen.
And if they're going to go the surprising route and not have Starco happen at all, they never should've teased it at all. They should've just had Star and Marco be definitively sibling-like in their relationship instead of getting crushes on each other, and have their side character love interests actually amount to something instead of Marco's relationships always crashing and burning and Star being stuck in a completely static boring thing with Tom that always seems like it could (and probably should) end any day. (They also shouldn't have waited until the halfway point of the series even hint that Star could still like Tom, and should've had Tom actually show up in Battle for Mewni if he's actually her endgame love interest.)
>And if they're going to go the surprising route and not have Starco happen at all, they never should've teased it at all.
They're subverting your expectations. And as The Last Jedi taught, any form of subversion is objectively clever and above critique.
Every time I suggest a general anons shit all over it
Where are Heckapoo's Heckaboobs? is there a narrative reason within the show to explain why she's suddenly flat?
all I'm saying is we should contain the "man this show is a pile of donkey shit" to one thread.
>Then the main triplet characters started to act like some California college onions boys than actual kids and Donald was turned into a background character and a comic relief.
To be fair, they did the same thing in 90s with quack pack. Kid characters hitting college years fails 95% of the time in tv land.
boobs are evil and the patriarchy also Nefcy lost control of her show
shes looking heka cute thou
Hey man, I haven't watched Tangled but I've seen a few clips of the show and I am really taken away by the animation. That's high quality shit for a kid's show. Everything is so crisp and fluid, the characters have real form and everything has actual weight to it. I was very impressed with what I saw.
no, it looks like someone ctrl-c ctrl-p her head onto another character's body (a boy's body). It looks really bad.
is looks the same, is only missing the tits
I know they really went the extra mile for something even I wrote off as babyshit at first. But I came around when I heard some of the songs
dont watch the show, are Kelly and Heckapoo a thing now?
no, but hekapoo fucks the other two guys that appeared in the episode
well, they standed next to each other and touched once, so by shipping law they both gay and married now
>Inb4 Rhombulus was under a spell
>Inb4 Eclipsa is the real bad guy and she was just manipulating Globgor to kill for her (like getting rid of that husband she didn't want)
>Inb4 Star gets her magic back and then some
>Inb4 Marco is Star's knight again
>Inb4 Mina proves herself a hero again
>Inb4 all the monster convicts are freed to serve as Eclipsa's SS
>See this before I saw the episode
>Think it's just exaggerated
>Go watch it
>It's real, in the beginning of the episode, and incredibly lazy
Damn I just lost all motivation to even watch the rest of the series. I had a feeling Kelco wasn't going to last but I wanted it to at least have a reason to break up. It makes Marco look like a complete asshole for no reason. They don't even explain it, it just fucking happens. All that build up just to toss it in the trash. Fuck this shit man.
are you trying to tell me MLP didn't get shit up with it's lore?
Marcos come off as such an asshole in the past couple seasons for no real reason.
>kissing star while being friends with her bf, no consequences, tom doesn't even care
>breaking up with kelly for no fucking reason
>a whiny incompetent bitch about everything
>probably more i'm too lazy to think about it
seriously fuck the character writing in this show
Meteora hates him for a reason, user.
She was warning us of how big of an asshole Marco is.
Hekapoo's a massive slut seeing as she's got multiple boytoys right now.
Which shouldn't really be any surprise. She's thousands if not millions of years old so she would've gone through countless lovers already, meaning no reason to get particularly attached or restrict herself to 1 at a time. Especially since she can split herself into clone bodies to fuck multiple people at once.
And even if she's not outright bi, she's surely done some experimenting with women on the side. Probably including her own clones.
Though one thing I wonder. With Hekapoo being such a slut and having such varied tastes that she'll go for Marco, the eagle guy and pic related, yet also hating monsters almost as much as Mina Loveberry does...I wonder how many captured monsters she raped during the war.
They should make Heekapo and Kelly the bi/lesbian representation quota of this show. None of them are getting Marco so, who cares?
That way they won't force shit next week with Meteora and Mariposa
That's not fair, Escalator World was actually a funny gag.
>says nothing about going home at any point the entirety of season 3 and 4
>finally becomes a knight
>"Ehhhhhh I sure do miss home right about now"
I don't get why they don't show these cracks on screen instead of the wastes of time episodes. Why use all the time on a needless chase when they could've set up that he wanted to go home. Hell, they could've even brought up that he wanted to break up with Kelly BECAUSE he wanted to go home. Or something. At least give a reason c'mon. This is such shit writing.
Hell this same episode Eclipsa comes off as an even bigger asshole. Not only does she spy on Star (which, when you think about it, Eclipsa could've been angry at Star for lying to her about the book piece) but she claims she's not doing anything for the kingdom for lazy reasons. I don't get it. Eclipsa never seemed lazy or incompetent in the previous season but she's such a wasted character here. It feels like Star became the mom and Eclipsa became the child and it's so frustrating to watch. I used to love Eclipsa but man they wrote her terribly.
I miss Star VS S1.
It wasn't until Marco found out about the "lifelong post" thing, that being a knight would require doing a single job forever, that he backed out of it.
Like he said at the end, the only thing he wants to do for the rest of his life is Star.
Synopsis for "Cleaved", the series finale.
It's so vague that it's impossible to get anything meaningful from it and might as well not be a spoiler.
good, I don't want them to fucking spoil the last episode anyway, I hate all of those episode description showing up usually two weeks before they air
What if Star goes back in time and prevents herself from going to Earth?
and its revealed the other star writhing under the blanket is her going back in time and failing
It's rare for any show to get a satisfying ending, especially if they run for multiple years.
Ideas change, writers and artists quit and are replaced with new ones, the creator gets burnt out and let's someone else take over, etc.
A lot of shows end with no ending or a shitty ending. That's just how it is.
Sometimes I wish they'd gone with the original concept about an adorable delusional little girl who merely thought she was a magical princess.
Book it!
Bravo, Nefcy
Only in the West. It's no surprise that a lot of successful Anime builds to a sarisfying conclusion since there's usually a previously established manga underneath it.
The wrong turn was trying to make Star mature and responsible by making other characters way too selfish or irresponsible, even if it contradicts what was previously stated about them,
The thing is this backfired because we fell in love with the childish and airhead Star, who needed from others to improve... NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!
So they had to assessinate Marco, Eclipsa, Tom, etc... in the process to make Star shine, and it just backfired, because people hate this new Mary Sue of a main character we have in S4.
That's why I like Globgor and Meteora right now, because they are capable of making good decitions on their own (for now) without orbiting around Star.
Reminder that Star Butterfly is a nudist
not that much
ur a nudist
I watched the first episode when it came out and was turned off by the art style, maybe I'll give it another shot
i miss when Star was violent toward monsters
Oh no, you don't want that. My body is ugly
she murders the writing staff??
A lot of characters feel different in Seasons 3 and 4 compared to Seasons 1 and 2.
Season 1, Star was more of an airhead, Marco was more competent, Tom was portrayed more as a villain (with season 2 giving him an excellent way to develop outside of Star until season 3 fucking trashed it for no reason).
Ironically one of the few characters to remain consistent all throughout is Pony Head.
oh honey don't put yourself down like that your body is beautiful
>doing a single job forever
The kid can't deal with the real world then.
Nobody works one job their entire life. We're not designed to sustain that level of monotony.
>You want some of this?! Let's go, little man!
That died in the first episodes of season 1.
It truly is a shame to see characters I found cute and fun reduced to caricatures I couldn't care less about
>Season 3
>Janna is in the intro, see her once because they went to go get her
>Season 4
>Janna still in the intro
>She's randomly just in Mewni for dozens of episodes with zero explanation.
>"Who is this person? Why is she here?"
Man this sure is a good quote describing Janna. I like Janna too, she's just...why is she here? How is she here? Why does no one explain what she's doing off Earth? Why is she not used as a conduit to at least tell Marco anything about Earth? At all? Why is she here?
Sure, he's a stupid kid (oh wait no he's like 60 mentally) and adventurous, I get it. But why is Earth suddenly brought back into the story? The writers seemed perfectly content with giving Marco this grand sending off and haven't visited Earth except for the Marco Jr. episode. Why not bring that up as his motivation at any other point in the story? Why make it significant at the one moment that he actually wanted? Hell, why not given him a choice of an actually cool position instead of the "well life's shit, here's some shit choices" when he saved the kingdom and is the right hand man of the fucking Princess? God why the fuck.
Why the fuck am I still here
I love Janna and she's the most bearable character this season, so I appreciate her being there but yeah, the writers just really like not explaining shit.
You're kidding yourself if you think this isn't exactly what would happen if social media didn't exist for people to screech loudly at each other instead of taking to murder.
And maybe that's the mistake in and of itself.
>Did i fucking missed an episode or something? They just had Marco and Kelly break up off screen?
The way they just casually drop it had me bursting out in laughter. I think my anger has ascended into hilarity. Goddamn this show.
I am still livid I didn't get my 3 South spiritual sequel
There is only one way to resolve Janna's character in a satisfactory way
>Also no one is allowed to simply not be political any longer.
This is completely true, even if you don't intend to. People can and will interpret any message you make into a political one and 9/10 it will be negative or not pandering enough.
It already did for me. Star and Marco still haven't talked about the booth at fucking all and still act like nothing changed at all. The show does this thing where it puts all relationship stuff in stasis between romance episodes. At this point in time, either starco gets a super rushed intro and only happens at the last episode, or doesn't happen at all, which makes all the past seasons of development fucking moot.
They won't impeach because he never committed a single crime. Hurting Libfuck fefees is not a crime and not worthy of removing anyone from office. The problems is that libfucks have no capacity to understand that.
No, that's the story sanctuary city leaders tell their peons to justify their illegal status. Majority of them come over because mexio doesn't have anywhere near the amount of gibs the US offers.
God I fucking hate Cotungo's self insert.I was expecting a return of Star and Marco s1 fighting dynamics but with the added bonus of wandless magic and Marco with a sword. But all I get is Star suddenly being bi and gushing over this one-off character who does fucking everything.
I would unironically call SVTFOE a masterpiece if Cleaved shows everything Star did affecting her life throughout the show a la Church going back in time in the early seasons of RvB. If she's the one who also made Marco hallucinate the Blood Moon when he was kissing Jackie during Bon Bon (because she doesn't know that the reason Marco came to rescue her was because of the Moon in the first place, and she's trying to break him up with Jackie prematurely), I would give all of my savings to her, all $20.
This show is dead to me. The show has become not even worth watching. This show is a waste of time I often forget about. I CANT BELIEVE THEY GOT RID OF KELCO FOR NO REASON!!! That coronation episode was a waste of time. I really dont know if I wanna keep watching this awful show man. They ruined my favorite show. And for what? Monster racism? Lack of direction? Getting rid of Jackie? I hate what has happened to this show. This legit hurts me.
Tl;dr This show is a chore to watch and I dont know if I can watch anymore of it
Nah I've been around enough Mexicans that they really do believe that all labor of any kind is done by immigrants only, and white people only work in comfy offices for 6 figures or more. They truly believe that if there are no mexicans to do all the work then society will collapse in on itself in seconds.
Because she can just be put into the plot of an episode without any consideration of why. She's the ponyhead of Earth.
I want Starco to not happen solely so I can see people like Seddm and other tumblrites who not only watch the show and follow it religiously but even devoted their entire life to it for the past 4 years get utterly crushed when they realize their hopes and dreams of a relationship onscreen between Star and Marco didnt happen, but they didnt even get a trophy kiss at the end.
That would be the ultimate fuck you to pretty much everyone even if it DOES happen. The shipping stuff that wasted so much time instantly becomes useless if Star and Marco get together.
It's a really odd double-edged sword. Usually when shows have a fake-out love interest they're just a bland pretty face that one of the characters pines after for a while only to move on and end up with the obvious end-game best friend romance in the end. Which is boring, but inoffensive I guess.
But I genuinely liked Jackie, Kelly, and Hekapoo, so when they're built up only to be pushed aside and forgotten about in some quick falling out for relationship drama it starts to come across as kind of harsh and unsatisfying. But at least Jackie had a solid goodbye episode, Kelly's breakup just seemed strangely abrupt.
>the only time there's a Starco kiss is mired in rape accusations
I actually liked Knight Shift because it actually acknowledged Marco as being competent, rather than some joke, and gave him another outfit that he is never going to wear again for the rest of the show.
Marco randomly deciding he wants to go back to Earth and go to college seemed really out of nowhere. He basically dropped out when he went to Mewni and never visited at all in the next year, even on his birthday, or holidays. Even though going back was as easy as walking into a closet.
I unironically want this. And I was an early Starco shipper when it was still a cute sideplot. But shipping has ruined this show and them not getting together would be a fantastic (but not enough to save the show) message that part of growing up is growing apart or putting your duties before romance.
I would have wanted a Starco ending if it didn't nuke the whole show, I'm just bitter.
It makes more sense when you realize the show is being written by a large group of weird nerds that likely never had a single relationship in school at all and are mostly going by what they learned watching other tv shows. They genuinely have no idea how to portray a normal relationship in a show.
Heckapoo is endgame and we all know it. Marco and Star have a fun friendship, but Marco and Heckapoo have literally a lifetime together.
mate its not about the lesson, its about pulling a trump victory tier ending that nobody expected
Could be explained by the blood moon curse affecting his subconscious thoughts.
That would not piss me off. I want Tom to be happy and I know Star will never really make him happy.
Between Friends is unironically better than the show in terms of romance.
The only decent explanation I can come up with is that he realizes that he still loves Star despite breaking up the curse, and is trying to distance himself again in order to not get hurt(returning to Earth, breaking up with Kelly).
Now, let's be honest, nobody wants a normal relationship happening in a show involving a princess girl that transforms into a six-armed winged freak fighting misshapen monstrosities and who is a sort of human from a parallel dimension where people are weirdly obsessed with corn.
Normal relationships on TV are for normal boring mundane live action shows.
All tacos are evil, Mina is the only true warrior queen
I went through this entire thread without even seeing the breakup. 5 seconds on youtube and I am fully convinced Nefcy, the team or whatever, have absolutely no fucking idea what they're doing. They even made it obvious that the breakup wasn't entirely mutual. I'm fucking mad.
I want no ships to happen and everything to end anti-climactically, including the big finale, all as a cherry on top for how completely dry, boring and directionless this season and more than half of season 3 was. I'm just in it for the closure at this point.
Everything should just end, nobody cares and moves on as if it was just another morning where nothing happened in their lives, including Nefcy and the crew. Absolutely anything more than that would be more than what the show deserves
it's definitely not something kids give a shit about. Kids want to see fun adventures and funny characters. They do not really care about the eternal "Will they, Won't they?" ship drama.
This is a show made for 20 somethings but disguised as a kids show
It's Inuyasha all over again, except with more girls.
>interracial couples aren't allowed to be evil
I hate this decade and this SJW world
>it's another "Yea Forums product shits the bed and the board erupts into moderate chaos as everyone talks about the trainwreck from every angle and position for months until it's put out of its misery and we wait for it to happen again with something else" episode
I'm so fucking sick of the dark ages, this godless void of worthwhile US animation has to die out by next decade for our sake
Remember that if Toffee was a girl, he'd still be a threat.
Yeah, now that their "romance" is severed I could understand Marco simply wanting to have the freedom to be able to see his family more or to be able to live somewhere beyond serving Star for the rest of his life, but you'd think that simply going back to regular school would be out of the picture at this point.
>That last season of Kim Possible where Kim and Ron were together really fuckin sucked though
Who even wanted that anyway?
Eh, didn't he have good grades all the time? He can probably quickly fit in again.
I live in So Cal, I can attest that Mexicans, at least the ones I live around, are lazy and unproductive. I believe they are happy with their rather pathetic lives.
The entire series has fully shifted into something completely different from the original premise. It's not really fair to consider it the same show any longer. Everything has changed since the third season and it follows a completely different set of themes with wildly different characterizations. Since season 1
>The central Object of the series, the wand, has been dropped and forgotten. It's not important anymore, and you almost never see it, nobody wants it and no one is after it
>There are no forces of evil to "Vs" any longer. The villains are gone and nothing replaced them. No evil bad guy shows up for the main characters to fight in any episode
>The Fish out of Water story was dropped, Star returned to her world, Marco has lived there over a year mostly off screen. They are familiar with everything and nothing is surprising
>There are no authority figures, Star's parents are gone, Marco's parents are gone. They are the authority in the kingdom now, there are no stakes for the teen adventure episodes now since there is no possibility of getting into trouble
>No familiar location, show takes place off Earth so they cannot shorthand a story by having it in a place an audience would already know about like a school, or store, or venue. Everything has to be invented from the ground up and that is hard for 8 minute episodes.
The Ship Drama became the central element because there is nothing left. It was the last area of storytelling they had to continue the show after removing almost everything else. Nothing else for teen stories when there is no school, no neighborhood, no family, no antagonist, no props, no adventures, no motivation for the characters to do anything else in an episode. They cannot do familiar teen stuff since they are not on Earth. No familiar locations, sports, past times, hobbies, or entertainment to fill an episode. What they do have are a lot of male and female characters that they can tease the audience with.
>Racism isn't just a personal issue its a systematic and subconscious one, seeing one monster be a good father wouldn't fix the issues between monsters and Mewmans.
I'm pretty sure that's what the cornball episode was about.
Anyone have the mega with the .mp4s? I can only find the .mkvs in the archive.
attempting to cover up crimes other have commit even if you didn't order those crimes or weren't directly involved is 100% a crime, its exactly what Nixon did its also exactly what Trump has done
yeah but I guess all those people are over it now because Globgor cares about his family
Let's just pretend that Between Friends is canon and takes place after whatever hot garbage passes for a series finale.
Pathetic liberals shouting
>He hurt my Feeeelings! He should be in jail!
at the top of their lungs does not mean an actual crime was committed. Firing an obviously corrupt FBI director that wanted to abuse their position and play political games with their badge is also not a crime. The real criminals are not even being implicated here. Mueller and Comy are the actual ones that ignored any concepts of law and due process because they think that they get to be king makers and influence elections, and then get idiot revenge on those who win despite their efforts.
We need him
Between Friends takes place during S1, the day before Interdimensional Field Trip.
It's going to be nothing but cheap cgi shows and dubbed anime user.
How many fucking screencaps are there of this guy?
I said pretend
Not enough
I wish he had been enough of an asshole to use a name, since now most of his stuff is lost to time...
Well, that will have to be remedied.
Taco here, we hate SJW as well, maybe even more than americans, californians believe we are some kind of kinds who can't talk for ourself. Our country have problems, and inmigrants are cowards for left Mexico searching a easy life in the USA
we get, now stop shilling yourself you fucking retard
>ignores argument
>instantly engages in "what about"ism to attempt to distract from Trump's clear crimes
how does it feel to be brainwashed by an incompetent aristocrat?
>>The central Object of the series, the wand, has been dropped and forgotten. It's not important anymore, and you almost never see it, nobody wants it and no one is after it
This might be the biggest change, The wand was the main aspect of the show that everyone wanted, all villains were after, the main character had to protect and was the central thing to the whole family history. Everything wrapped around keeping the wand safe and keep bad guys from taking it and taking over the universe with it.
Now Star actually gave it away, and does not care about it. And no other villains give a shit about it either. Eclipsa barely has it or does anything with it.
Yea I have noticed the SJW camp has a real "White Man's Burden" approach to almost all minorities assuming they are totally incapable of doing anything for themselves and need a strong white person to stand up on their behalf every single day.
>They truly believe that if there are no mexicans to do all the work then society will collapse in on itself in seconds.
Isn't there a movie about that?
nobody likes an ideaguy
A Day Without a Mexican.
Except it was proven that there was no collusion, and therefore no obstruction of justice either. It was all a witchunt by a corrupt cop playing political games for his own amusement. Now the nations knows and hus credibility is even more pathetic than it started out.
D'awwwwww poor little Bernie bro is just going to have to get a job. No communist jews to be your parent and give you handouts today.
This is the most satisfying explanation.
that was the best RvB arc
>Time is not a line; it's a circle; that's why clocks are round
>Weirdly enough, Caboose was the only person who got was going on immediately
>I decided to just kill everybody I could see. Why? I dunno, bored, I guess.
>Why are you yello- DON'T ASK
Comparing Janna to Ponyhead physically hurts me.
I agree, Kelly's feels incredibly rushed. The entire setup makes no sense. Yeah Marco was in a gang with Heckapoo at some point but why is he still hanging out with Heckapoo? I find it strange that they lied about their entire history yet everyone's still cool with the Magical High Commission. No one's addressed it in the slightest, it feels like it was a plot point only there so Eclipsa could be put back into power and not about the family linage or identity. It wasn't even mentioned with Mina, someone who values traditional above all else.
But getting back on topic, why is Kelly there? We know she can ride a dragoncycle, sure, but why is she confiding in Heckapoo like they've had any level of conversation the entire show? I guess it's because Kelly literally has no other friends huh. I doubt Star even knows they had that arrangement despite her being the one that introduced Marco.
Fuck, I gotta take a break from all this. The more I think about it the more upset I get
>Comparing Janna to Ponyhead physically hurts me.
They are both the exact same degree of useless third wheel that only exists to pick on Marco and make him into a comedy prop
well
>Team C is probably very new and does not really know much about the character arcs since they were recent hires in the latest season and only really knows the most superficial aspects of the characters.
it's like the people making that episode only really knew Heckapoo was some friend of Marco's for some reason or another, and Kelly was too, so maybe they all hang out on weekends. Who knows?
>But why is Earth suddenly brought back into the story? The writers seemed perfectly content with giving Marco this grand sending off and haven't visited Earth except for the Marco Jr. episode. Why not bring that up as his motivation at any other point in the story? Why make it significant at the one moment that he actually wanted? Hell, why not given him a choice of an actually cool position instead of the "well life's shit, here's some shit choices" when he saved the kingdom and is the right hand man of the fucking Princess? God why the fuck.
The only logical explanation is that Marco is slowly regaining his sanity after the curse was broken
>get hyped for Maleficent movie before anyone really knew anything about it
>movie comes out, everyone thought it was great
>I thought it was absolutely awful.
>discover Star Vs after a friend won't shut up about it
>has all my favorite tropes, and does a fantastic job building up its villains
>halfway through season 3 I grow concerned
>and now, here we are today
all of the things in my life that I get excited for, hyped up about, the things that make me feel like a wide eyed kid... why do they all end up this way? why is it so hard to create consistent characters and stories? and mostly, why are people so bad at endings?
>monster arm
NEVER EVER just like Marco using magic again. Search your feelings, you know its true. This is the reality we live in. One where the final season goes out with one big meh.
Stop to make me want things the show can't give anymore!
I remember reading a common writer trick is to start writing from the ending and I guess they didn't do that
Please keep in mind that marketing teams post here and don't want you to watch their competitors shows.
>hack writers sunk KellyCo offscreen
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Hekapoo is not a child.
Sometimes there are times when I wonder if the show's not actually as bad as I claim on Yea Forums, and maybe I'm just salty about plot developments I don't like and letting that cloud my judgment
And then there are times when the show does shockingly retarded shit like mentioning in two quick lines that Kelly and Marco broke up offscreen, and I realize that no, the show really is just that bad.
The only thing I'll truly miss from this show is that there won't be more reasons to make porn out of it.
Or cute characters to make porn out of, too.
Guess that means no more Kelly.
Too bad, I liked her. Honestly I wish she showed up a little more and earlier in the show. Like Kelly, Ponyhead, and maybe one or two more characters could've been Star's alien friends, to contrast against the ones she's made on Earth. Maybe have an episode or two where the aliens hang out with the humans to really cement in the whole Star having trouble deciding between Earth or Mewni thing.
But no, who wants that. That's just silly.
2 years too late, and a flash cartoon of a spidergirl and marco diaz with guns got over 200% more views then your trailer
>be a writer on a show you like
>give two characters a full episode ending on a big moment for them
>literal fuckin fireworks, both blushing like crazy finding out they feel for each other
>even if the general consensus for the story is that they don't end up together it could still make up for some drama easily filling out another good episode
>suddenly a couple of other fucks break them up off-screen
Why did Nefcy allow this to happen?
Why did she abandon her baby?
What the FUCK am I suppossed to do with all the KellyCo fanart I saved? What was the point of this ship? Why the build up? Why the development? FUCK! I haven't been this upset since Sophmore Slump. At least Jackie got the send off she deserved. Kelly didn't even get that much. Why couldn't Starfags just stay cucked? They fucking made the Bloodmoon Ball irrelevant. What was even the point of that episode then? FUCK!
I also apologize for frogposting I just don't have any Yea Forums related reaction images to express my VIOLENT, INCOHERENT RAGE
>kissgram
You know, this season seems really, really rushed compared to previous seasons right? I have a theory that maybe the reason for this is that disney told nefcy they would only allow one more season because of low ratings or something. So they're rushing things to an extent that it's ridiculous.
Negativo.
Season 2 was announced during season one, but there was a delay taking over a year for it to be released. However, that delay allowed S2 to have excellent pacing and plot points.
BOTH Seasons 3 and 4 were announced halfway through S2's run. Nefcy, by her own admission, didn't expect something like that to happen, considering only a handful non-in-house Disney cartoons have gotten a third season, and less than five have made it to a fourth season. This extra room invariably fucked up their pacing, causing them to go too slow in some areas, and too fast in others.
ALWAYS HAVE A BIBLE WITH NUMEROUS CONTINGENCY PLOTS WHEN MAKING YOUR SHOW
I wouldn't say rushed, I'd say phoned in. Nobody cared anymore. Everybody's already got other plans in mind.
This explains a lot actually
You make an excellent point sir. I suppose it's just that the writers are completely incompetent retards. But we all already knew this. I have to know though, did anyone else join the crew after season 2? I know cotugno being promoted as director fucked the show up quite a bit.
They took out a lesbian scene in Gravity Falls.
Not that this makes the way they ended it any better, it doesn't, it was shit, but I kind of suspect Kellco could've been originally planned for S3 (maybe with Kelly's World either happening there or the breakup buddies deal being set up in Lava Lake Beach), but it just didn't fit into the number of episodes they had available or something. Sounds stupid because they had room for Ponyhead filler, etc., but I can see them not seeing it as a major priority since it's not endgame.
Then by S4 they do have time to do it, so they do, either because they always planned to or because they want to try to pander to all possible popular ships before the thing ends entirely, but since there's literally no time left for any development or even a breakup episode they just end it offscreen and figure the 10 shippers had their moment in the sun.
Or at least I think it would've made more sense if it'd started in S3.
Watch, if they ever show her character again she'll be curveless and flat.
You're talking to a guy who's triggered by a female superhero lead, and a woman with pink hair.
>el mewblino
>They took out a lesbian scene in Gravity Falls.
I see what I'm reading but where's the proof?
Think that if Tangled by some god-forsaken Faustian deal got told to make a 4th season, their crew and writers would just tell Disney to fuck off?
It pisses me off to no end that the AwestruckCuck continues to suck this show's dick
I just got that the karate protection is meant to be a retard helmet joke
or maybe we were wrong all this time.
Here, I'll give you one on the house my friend.
Kellyco was garbage that had no business existing to begin with
>getting hyped over Maleficent
You deserved every moment of pain you got
look up "love god original storyboard"
Thanks
I will FUCKING EAT YOUR LIMBS
Your ship was a waste of time, your waifu was a nothing action girl #84541, and your tastes are 100% shit.
This thread reminds me how much I fucking hate white people and minorities.
If only Tomstar would get the same treatment.
It's funny, at the midpoint of season 3, Tomstar seemed like it was so unimportant that it easily could've been given an offscreen breakup. It seemed like it only existed so that Marco could get his own jealousy arc like Star had in season 2. And everything Tom said and did in the midseason finale make it seem like he'd lied his ass off to Star back in Demoncism to impress her into getting back together with him, further giving the impression that it would be jettisoned soon.
Yet now here we are a full season later and they're still together even though it doesn't make sense for them to be together.
Hey now, I'll secede and say that Kellco was a waste of time, but don't you dare even insinuate that dark-skinned action girls with long hair are anything but tippity-top tier.
Kelly is a precious little bushwoolie murderhobo and deserved better you rapscallion.
You know a comparison like that makes it sound like you think Tangled isn't a good show
That's a paddling
As a Kellycofag myself I would honestly prefer it never bring canon than having to put up with this half-assed pile of shit they presented us.
>Tom had more chemistry with Jana in one episode than he had with star for the whole 4 seasons
Its like the writers are making this on purpose
I still think it was a mistake for Tom to become one of the "good guys" at all. I mean his debut was literally him plotting to date rape Star. He should've just been a villain.
>Falling this hard for shallow waifubait
You deserve this shitshow
To me it would be fine if he stayed a recurring character as the asshole boyfriend type, showing up in random moments to try to woo star .Not exactly evil, but staying the “dickhole ex” stereotype.
Later on he could get some solo episodes with the leftovers of Marco harem like Jana or Jackie and stabilish a relationship with them.
No memes when I say it
What the fuck happened. You literally can't compare season 1 to season 4
I personally think it was okay for him to eventually be on Star's side because while he always came off as a dick I never saw him as "evil" (he was going to therapy and shit, back in S1 there was room to debate about whether the Blood Moon was a curse or neutral or a good thing or what), but they should've kept his anger issues more of a thing instead of them more or less vanishing after S2, and he didn't really need to become involved with anyone at all. Or at least not with Star.
Butch was a conservative anyway so it was basically him just poking fun at his side of the political spectrum which is why it worked, plus it was just a quick gag not the entire fucking series becoming a maliciously one sided political commentary. Think Nefcy or Hirsch would've made fun of Obama or Hildawg if she had won? Think again.
The show has really grown to hate Marco to let him stay happy for once.
All what he did was hook up with Jackie while Star have feelings for him. Star rebounded to Tom and made good relationship with him, but Marco...not allowed to.
Talk about revenge fic in actual show.
So uh how did Manfrlet or whatever his name is get unfrozen? Another offscreen thing they just lampshaded and thus feel no need to explain. Very post-s4 Game of Thrones-like.
They said in the same episode where he got frozen that it eventually wears off.
I'm a starco fag and I thought the offscreen breakup was shit cause it makes kelly's world even more fucking useless.
I hate that they wasted a perfectly good episode slot with Kelly's World when they were just going to nix the ship anyways.
like what even was the fucking point?
I really don’t know
I haven’t even watched the season and picked it all up from osmosis. None of this shit makes sense to me
Marco is a fucking white male. Yeah, I know he's latino but burgers can only think in bynary for their puritan roots and bypartisan political system so it's either black or white.
>So instead of just having the characters that everybody thought were so cute together in seasons 1 & 2
Nobody thought that. They genuinely worked better as friends. Star wasn't even fucking interested in Marco in season 1. She was after what's his name with the music and the shitty car. Marco was also all about Jackie.
I'd genuinely have preferred Star get with fucking Starfan13 than Marco.
>like what even was the fucking point?
To give Kelly slightly more depth than what Jackie had.
Say what you will about Toffee, but that monster had PRIDE
Reminder that Meteora is a mindwiped old lady
>Nobody thought that.
The overwhelming majority of the audience wanted Starco back in seasons 1-2.
I'm pretty sure you could find the same situation that happened to Meteora in countless ABDL stories
It's so fucking bizarre that Tom's whole arc in S2 was about getting over Star and accepting she doesn't want to be with him, then out of nowhere they get back together in S3.
On a related note, today I saw some Asians wearing medical masks. At first I assumed they were old but then I realized they were in their 20s and one of them had giant magnificent perky tits.
Daron: You! Yes, you! The ones who wrote "Kelly's World"! Tell me what's in this picture!
Writers: Uhh, Marco and Kelly having a moment?
Daron: I can see that thank you very much, but tell what are they feeling?
Writers: Uhh.. they are bonding and are happy to find someone whose heart was broken and can't get over what they can't have, so they choose to be each other support and may lead to love to blossom between them?
Daron: Yeah, yeah I can see that too. But exactly what's Marco feeling right now?
Writers: Happy after we all danced over his corpse and broken heart all Season 3 long??
Daron: EXACTLY! We can't let that happen! It'll distract him from Starco! Which'll never happen in romance! But we can't let the viewers know that! No one will watch the show with both Star and Marco happy at the same time in loving relationships, and I'll never break Tomstar! He can't handle it, I'll never hurt him! Break them apart!
Writers: But you already decided to erase Star and Marco's true feelings with Curse of the Blood Moon! We already made Cornball to give Kellco moments!
Daron: BREAK. THEM. UP!
Writers: We only have three lines of dialoge in A Boy and his DC700X.
Daron: DO IT!
It got remedied by her next appearance. Like other anons said, the artists just got lazy.
the reason why Marco broke his relationship with Kelly
why are women such bitches? also I want to fuck Hekapoo really badly this isn't fair
Holy fucking shit dude is this real? haha
Wait is Hekathicc behind her or is Kelly tall now?
Totally normal friend stuff.
I think someone is mad.
Hekapoo is short as fuck.
no, Hekapoo always been short
Nigga, did you read any of the complaints? It's not that Kellco is gone, it's the WAY it ended.
Three episodes building the relationship up. All shot down because of, literally, a few lines of dialogue saying it's over and it all happened off screen.
It's the equivalent to, say, Finn the Human suddenly fucking Lumpy Space Princess at the end, saying he and Huntress Wizard had a fight.
Or if in Transformers all the Autobots are now making plans to attack the new Decepticon leader, because off-screen Megatron was blasted into orbit.
>Hekathicc
She's a fucking plank. If she wasn't, her vest would have curvature. She's also canonically the same size or smaller than Star. Her being thicc is just your headcanon, which is what you'd rather have because, the actual show bores you to death.
she is thicc, and she does have tits, this was the artist being too lazy to draw tits with a logo shirt
Yeah, people like to source that as a positive example of a post-relationship season, but it always rubbed me the wrong way.
Had Star Vs not gone off the rails, could Nefcy have made Starco work as a couple 3/4 of the way through the show?
Unioronically Starco is one of the biggest things that dragged down the series. Not even out of any dislike for the ship but it objectively has caused quite a few problems from a narrative standpoint. Due to them having set that as endgame, it resulted in numerous character relationships to either shift anticlimactically (Marco’s character arc with Jackie. Something they built over the course of 2 seasons), character personalities to shift for no apparent reason (Marco up and abandoning Earth for no apparent reason when he has dimensional scissors and thus could move between worlds easily) or character developments that are a total waste of time (developing a romantic interest between Marco and Kelly and building on the relationship between Tom and Star). Quite a bit of this could have been done in a much better manner had it not basically had the series bend over backwards to satisfy this single pairing
How exactly that satisfying this single pairing?
The show can't function with separating the main characters for good. Not that it mattered to the show now. "Starco" has became almost a blink and you'll miss it, now watered down because of Tomstar and Eclipsa plots.
Now the show is just waiting for the crowd to lose hope and give up only to dangle a Starco bait everytime to keep them hooked. And it's frustrating!
To me it didn't suck.
And it the first time a cartoon tried that and didn't break them up to restore a status quo. I admired that and I always hoped for a series to try and PERFECT it to today's standards.
It bent over backwards to avoid the pairing. Why start tomstar back up when their character arcs clearly showed them moving past each other? Why did Kellco even exist to begin with? They barely had reasons to even interact. And Marco's move to mewni was completely unnecessary as you yourself pointed out. It just feels like the writing team has no clue what they want the show to be
oh YES!
Biggest villain disappointment since Zant from TLoZ: Twilight Princess.
what race are you
Avatar finale: Aang attempts to solve all of his problems.
Wakfu finale: Yugo attempts to solve all of his problems.
FMA finale: Edward attempts to solve all of his problems.
Gravity Falls finale: The Pines Family attempts to solve all of their problems.
Mmm, the tongue.
>Because the creator is coming to the end of the story?
It shows.
>The show was supposed to end last season but Disney renewed it so they needed to do a filler arc
It REALLY shows.
Calling it now!
Beach Day will be a Starco yank the chain episode!
Main characters happiness hinted and built over 4 years is overrated!!
Even Marco Jr. will not do much to Marco's character and Earth. Drop the show already!
Hey
Over here
Yep. I hope you don’t have any expectations for anyone other than Eclipsa, because if so your time has been heavily wasted.
>thinking Starfags hate PH
So the show died with Toffee, right?
Yes
Eclipsa's story is over now
It's not over until her family is slowly tortured and killed in front of her and then she is slowly tortured and killed as well
Monsters started out allegorical for Native Americans but now they're a blanket allegory for non whites. Globgor would probably be a Mexican if anything since his VA is Latino and they're obviously gonna make it a parallel to Starco.
How easily and baselessly persectued must you feel if you think The Last Jedi and Jurrasic World 2 were remotely affected by Trumps election? I'm genuinely astonished as to how you function. Do you think the sun sets at night because it doesn't wanna light up the same planet as TRUMP?
>Monsters started out allegorical for
It wass allegorical of my DICK entering YOUR DOG'S ASSHOLE
Go talk to your doctor user, the medication you've been recommended to take is not enough.
A family unjustly torned apart is finaly reunited and you can't do shit about it.
DO.NOT.EVEN.START.WITH STARCO.PARALLELS.
All we know that he and his wife love each like they were 300 years ago.
Even if he regale us with his story with Eclipsa, not Marco or Tom could hold comparison since none was against them being close to Star.
Unless they return the monster racism and "we can make it happen" shtick, it's not something to drive a ship on.
Tangled is good you pleb
>youre just paranoid goy
Biggest insult is extending the show for 2 more seasons just to make Heinous a villain in S3 and Mina/Rhombulus as main villains of S4. Like even punished Ludo would have make more sense that these clowns. But going past Toffee with such a weak plot and characters is just the biggest bullshit.
The show shits on Kelly even more than on Briggs. Why even make episodes about them if they are so pointless to the storyline?
Imagine if Toffee was always a sexy immortal Septarian gal. Eclipsa would probably never existed as she would become the main reccuring villain and anti hero. God how i hate progressive feminists who gives important roles based on sex.
Shipping on its own is pointless.
Hope she is bi and fucks Heekapoo though.
Do you think Nefcy was killed and replaced by some Disney executive? She can't be so much off her original ideas that she actually consider Mina or Rhombulus as the culmination of this whole show?
I don't get how hard is to follow a simple premise as in Avatar Last Airbender??
Everything was in place. You have a Protagonist who learns about the world and grow after each adventure (Star as Aang). You have the supportive possible love interest that only get teased while only canonized in the end (Marco as Katara) and then you build up side characters with own side stories and relationships (Tom, Janna, Kelly as Sokka, Zuko, Toph). The main characters beat stronger and stronger enemies until they finally defeat the big bad (It start with Ludo and should had end on Toffee)
Its such a simple premise and yet Nefcy messed it up with pointless romantic triangles, lots of filler episodes and lot of annoying characters. GODDAMIT STAR VS supposed to be a new AVATAR but it felt like it became a new Andromeda to Mass Efffect series
I don't even care about KellyCo, but it is ANNOYING when you force me to watc hentire episode about Marco having a date with Kelly and meeting her parents only to fucking ditch the whole idea into a one line break up. It is not just insulting to shippers but to any viewer who tries to keep up with the story. For fuck sake just either friendzone StarCo or canonize it but please stop wasting my time with sonctant flip floping.
Airbender had a shitty ending too
Yeah if theres anything i can agree with everyone is that S3 and S4 were not planned ahead. I think Nefcy wanted Battle for Mewni to act as the ending, and then she somehow added a lot of layers of bullshit with Meteroa, Eclipsa and monster/mewni prejudice after she already wrote the Finale. The entire Season 3 and S4 could have been compressed to S3 along with battle for Mewni and S4 wouldnt need to exist.
GOOD STORYTELLING BAD
EXPECTATIONS SUBVERTED GOOD
Man, this route wouldn't feel so bad if shitty Starco endgame wasnt going to happen.
we live in a society
What is this picture supposed to mean?
And yet Nefcy proudly mentions that Season 3 was the best season they made, did they brainwashed her.
This season is just so fucking boring.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUH CUTE AND PREFECT
Remember when we all studied every single move that Eclipsa made in S3 because we thought shes really evil? NOPE it was just good ol Rhombulus being a racist retard while Eclipsa and Globgor are just cute and innocent.
What a fucking waste of two whole season. For what? To see Finale Battle against fucking Mina? A joke character from a filler episode in S2?
Its the face of my pets when they see this shitty cartoon solving its story arcs
EXPECTATIONS
SUBVERTED
FUCK, worst thing is that based on the episode titles, Mina IS going to be the finale villain. No more twists about Toffee, Eclipsa or Seth. Just the main cast convincing Mina to stop being racist. What a terrible finale. And on top of that we still get shitty filler episodes between it.
But what meaning do the faces convey?
YOU ARE
A NIGGER
What is this show even about? Every I've seen is about which female character is trying to fuck the Hispanic guy.
Something must have happened if MLP has more exciting episodes than a show with VS Forces of Evil in its title
Thats what it is. It started as a adventure series with fish out of water premise about a girl and a boy fighting monsters. It ended up being a higshschool teenage shipping drama
It's going to end with an open ending, isn't it?
Sir, I'm going to need to see your "N" word pass.
