I don't know about the videos you're looking at, but from a quick glance, it looks like at worst it's about 1 dislike for every 4 likes, and that's on the bigger compilation videos with 7+ million views, with a good majority of the other videos having a better ratio. Which, yeah, it ain't super great, but it's pretty decent.

Not sure what you're referring to, but there's been a gradual roll-out of new Mickey stuff on merch over the years. Keep in mind that since he's not the default appearance (not to mention he uses a different voice actor) he's just sort of another style of Mickey for them to use on merch as opposed to being thrown on absolutely everything to get people used to the new design.

Really? I saw a Mickey short in the theater a few years ago and I thought the art and animation were excellent. I forget the story, but I remember the characters broke through the screen and went back and forth from "real world" to 2D really seamlessly. The whole theater liked it a lot.
