I'd say it's certainly more lighthearten than dark, but Sivana's darker scenes make a good juxtaposition, considering he's the only one who's taking this seriously. Heck, it takes threatening to murder an 8 year old just to get Billy off his ass to start being a real hero.
Sure, there are lighthearted moments, but a foster kid finding out his mom never wanted him and his dad is in prison is pretty dark, especially when you see the perspective of billy as a 4 year old
True. But what's a hero origin without a little tragedy? It's certainly a real gut punch of a scene, but I respect the film for not going full cheese and being able to have moments like those. I didn't think Shazam could give me feels, and I'm glad it could.
I used to think that Shazam was a comedy
But now I realize, it's a tragedy
>but I respect the film for not going full cheese and being able to have moments like those
Kinda reminds me of another superhero film.
>Henry Gayden: I think the movie’s main goal is to show you a good time. The other reason underlying it is that we also really wanted to make an emotionally honest movie in spite of it being a comedy. A scene, for instance, is about Billy’s mom. One of the executives called me on a Saturday saying, “What if she’s not dead? What if she just doesn’t want him?” I told the executive that’s too far. He said to just try it, so I wrote it in a day and I called him up and said, “This is the best scene in the movie.” Having that kind of scene anchor the movie allowed us to go to a lot of places that weren’t just silly.
Executives making the right call for once
APOLOGIZE
The mom scene was just COLD
Not even her being especially nasty. Just so clear she really doesn't feel much of ANYTHING for him anymore
Yeah, I was taken aback by some of the scenes cause of that. I guess it it lighthearted relative to most other DCEU movies and even compared to many recent Marvel movies.
I'm sorry for doubting you Mr. Executive.
It's a tragedy from the start, m8. Shit is pretty dark, just in the first 5 mins between the family in the car is brutal, especially later on during the board meeting.
Yeaaaaa... I mean.. Everyone wants to shit on MoS for city destruction, but I don't see anyone talking shit on Shazam for the same deal. I mean, it's not like anyone went to save/move ol' William Penn's head when it fell...
Actually, kinda. When New Line is involved in CBM, you get... TMNT, TMNT2, The Mask, Spawn, Blade, Blade 2.. But you also get TMNT3 and Blade 3.. So.. New Line can't into 3rd films.
And she didn't even understand or remember the compass ball. Poor Billy.
It does both very well
>for the same deal
They're not the least bit comparable
The part where Sivana graphically rapes Freddy was pretty inappropriate for a kid's movie.
Which is what Spider-Man and Billy should be. Light hearted do gooder kids who might as well crack jokes and be stupid in front of guys like Sivana or Norman.
Fuck, Billy came off as a more convincing meme teenager than Holland as Spider-Man in Homecoming.
It was a PG-13 movie but just barely so a lot got shoved off-screen.
Imagine just being a corporate rando and getting mauled by demons because of your boss' family drama
>The Snyder reveals prove there's still a huge swath of the moviegoing public that want serious and mature superhero movies
>had he stayed on we could've had a hard and unique look into Billy dealing with larger-than-life gods mentoring him on how to be a superhero as he navigates a foster system that threatens to break his spirit
>instead we get FLOSSIN and meme quotes galore to attract dem zoomerbux and mothers wanting more Marvel movies for the kids
Anyone else miserable now over what could've been?
And that's why I love that scene so much. It hurt. It really hurt and it's something I haven't felt since Logan. Not comparing this film to Logan, but a gut punch like that was what I love.
I think it struck a good balance. Did they establish that Shazam is Billy's adult form? Because I would just make it that Shazam is the face of his father and Zach could play his Dad who get's out of prison in the sequel
Executives make good calls often. You just never hear about them
The dark moments are very dark and the light moments are very lighhearted.
The whole act 3 kind of baffles me.
See that's the kinda back and forth you need in production. Open on both sides.
Hope that collaboration continues.
Yeah, we mostly ever hear about the trainwreck decisions.
The third act has it's dark moments. Like when Sivana is drowning Billy and he's screaming Shazam underwater. Bit hardcore for the kids
well, he was sort of a shit parent from the very beggining.
At this point, I can't tell if this is bait or a genuine Snyder fan.
Yikes
Will we ever hit a gold mine like the Sony emails again?
And there are the foster siblings running around the festival like its a fucking scooby doo episode.
Boooooring, if I wanted to analize human society from a serious and darker view I would be reading a book or watching a different sort of movies altogether, forcing cynism and teenage nihilism into every form of entertainment is not the answer and we could see that with whatever trainwreck superman movies were.
The city destruction in Shazam is pretty underplayed especially compared to Man of Steel
I actually kinda liked how the Kids actually acted like kids in the movie, It was funny to watch and see how it contrasted with the more serious parts.
I do really want to see how Superman reacts to Captain Marvel being a kid though.
Superman acts like a father figure to him
What you just described doesn’t sound very good at all
Imagine getting called at four in the morning on a Saturday and it's a company suit cajoling you to just REALLY fuck this kid's shit up emotionally in the movie
shame the wizard is dead, otherwise we'd have raging superman
but this is good too.
Now that you bring the wizard, the guy was a fucking dick and made more problems than the ones he resolved.
>hey look, a disneyland!
>fuck you, you dont deserve it.
>hey look, a disneyland!
>fuck you, you dont deserve it.
>hey look, a disneyland!
>fuck you, you dont deserve it.
>hey look, a disneyland!
>fuck you, you dont deserve it.
thousand times.
The guy was a dickhead but considering his son's over-the-top reaction to it, he was pretty right about Thad desu
based as fuck, honestly
He had it coming for wearing booty shorts in the middle of winter.
The movie made a good job showing us how his careless actions came back later to bite him in the ass, when you think about it it would have really sucked to be left unchosen, specially if your life was one that sucked like that of silvana child.
What's the deal with the wizard anyway? Was the he supposed to be dead in the comics too? Is he supposed to be relevant in any way after cap marvel gets his powers?
>that scene where Sivana cucks Shazam by fucking mary while he watched while being pinned down the sins.
I didn't know Sandberg watched Berserk...
Sivana would have gotten the power if he didnt call Shazam an Abo. seriously, what did Raimi mean by this?
>Everyone wants to shit on MoS for city destruction, but I don't see anyone talking shit on Shazam for the same deal.
The hell are you talking about? The levels of destruction in MoS were WAY grander than in this movie. Like tops maybe 2 or 3 people would have gotten hurt in the fighting in Shazam, rather than the potential hundreds in MoS.
When you compare something to snyder shit anything both litreally and conceptually are light hearted and fun
It's a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy here.
Shitparent makes a shit son
Shit son turns into a monster
Shit son now tortures shit parent
Shit parent now feels justified cause the son that he treated like a shit son is now a shit son for real
Had he been a better parent silvana could have been a better person.
Same, means this scene will have to be adapted differently
This is like 8-10yr old Billy.
Assuming this ever gets a sequel, Billy will be old enough to have a driver's permit.
Good thing daddy dearest wasn't around long enough to feel that way for long.
And it was fucking great
I do see where you're coming from and agree, but also I wouldn't think his dad being emotionally abusive alone would drive Silvana to brutally kill him and a bunch of totally unrelated people. Either his dad was way more abusive than the movie let on, or that darkness was already there to an extent.
There goes the Phillies' winning streak.
Yeah, ultimately silvana was also responsable for his choices, as bad as his childhood was he let himself and his choices be controlled by the darkness within him, he is also responsable of what he ultimately became.
previous page hurts.
>Wanting Zack the Hack Snyder to write for one of the goofiest heroes of the golden age
>Was the he supposed to be dead in the comics too?
In his original incarnation he dies after giving Billy his powers due to a massive stone weight dangling on a string above his throne crushing him to death. To this day, I don't know why it was there.
I don't know the context of the comic but sounds like a Sword of Damocles kind of deal maybe?
>he dies after giving Billy his powers due to a massive stone weight dangling on a string above his throne crushing him to death
shazam is darker than I thought it could be.
It's funnier than any other DC movie from the past decade, but it's also arguably also the most mature out of the bunch in how it handles its themes.
Just remembered that he didn't have his underwear anymore after the bullies messed with him that day, thanks for reminding me.
I haven't seen this movie yet, did the bullies steal his underwear? F-for what purpose?
They didn't steal it, they broke it with that one maneuver where you pull it up and let the kid hang like a suitcase, hence the name Suitcase Wedgie.
A wedgie
I don't recall him saying he didn't have his unmentionables anymore
They don't steal his underwear. They give him a huge wedgie that ruins them. He throws them at Captain Marvel's head and misses when he confronts Billy about it while he's performing with lightning.
yeah I found weird how Sivana and Shazam punching each other had not even 1% of the collateral damage Zod vs Superman had
he threw his ruined underwear at Billy in that scene, and we don't see him pick it back up.
>walking around without pantsu
>excited to be around adult men
>unable to run away if they decide to rape him
He's definitely asking for it.
I'm just surprised that Shazam was so good with the balance of demons destroying a bunch of people right after the villain throws his own brother out a window to scenes with Billy trying to buy beer and figure out how to use his powers. It also didn't need half of Philly wiped out and a thousand people to die.
Geoff Johns fans are overcompensating because of their inferiority complex which is caused by a million reasons, but in this case Snyderfags wanting it to fail because sans Snyder input
I think he's genuine, but because I've seen him pissed people are using his threads for copypasta.
N-now I remember
This movie showed the heroes actively trying to save people, even the villain. MoS was pure destruction with an angsty ending that didn't offer any relief.
>The Snyder reveals prove there's still a huge swath of the moviegoing public that want serious and mature superhero movies
How?
>Freddy spent most of the movie not wearing underwear
L-lewd
I’m sure it was a conscious choice based on how people reacted to MoS
Yea Forums also said this movie is good
When it is quite the garbage
>The Snyder reveals
Quick rundown?
So was Billy actually worthy, or did the Wizard get desperate and decide fuck this and just take whoever came next? He wasn't even tested since the sins fucked off
>So was Billy actually worthy, or did the Wizard get desperate and decide fuck this and just take whoever came next?
The wizard was paranoid as fuck because all his friends died, millions of people were killed and civilizations were toppled because he chose the wrong champion.
He was desperate but if his fear didn't cloud his mind he might have actually found a worthy person earlier than Billy.
Billy slowly becomes worthy by the end of the film. The Wizard's own impossibly high standards cucked himself out of finding a champion before the Sins did.
The Best Sins design for me is a mix of the Movie Version and the comic version.
The movie adds the dread and the comics add the variety.
There was a very specific reason Envy stuck with Sivana. It was his primary motivation.
He mentions something to him about him being his last chance. In a way, Billy was actually tested by the sins since he has brushes with pretty much all of them but comes off uncorrupted. I like how they treated him not as the chosen one from the start, but showed him growing into it.
Why did Sivana feel so inadequate?
Was it him not being chosen by the Wizard or was it the accident with his father?
I haven't seen Homecoming but his quips on Civil War came off as the result of a punchup session by 30 year olds trying to sound like they were 16
He obviously felt inadequate before, considering how his brother and father belittled him.
So did the Wizard inadvertently cause his own downfall by not opening up to Sivana?
Man, how did Sivana even become so Autistic? Imagine his teenage year's man.
Also, I'm kinda interested in how they would portray Adams relationship with the Wizard and Billy.
His father loves his kissass brother more than him, they both hound him about how he'll never be a real man, the Wizard tells him he'll never be worthy of power because he's not pure, and Sivana even says that specifically messed him up hard as a kid.
Then he finds out some 14 year old is walking around with the powers he got denied, and any of the dialogue he has with Shazam onscreen is either him asking what makes him so pure of heart or deriding him for not acting like a heroic champion.
Are there any pictures of Mary getting violaed by lust and/,/or the sin with tentacles? Just curious haha just for laughs haha
>by 30 year olds trying to sound like they were 16
The one line that always gets me is when he describes Empire as an old movie when it's fucking Star Wars. No one says "that old show, Scooby Doo" when they're constantly coming out with new shows and movies, just like how no one describes Star Wars as old when they're being brought up over and over in the mainstream. It was clearly added to have someone ask how old he was.
Who cares, Mary a shit.
Post adult Darla pls.
>loli mind in adult body
The exact opposite of what is patrician you fucking barbarian
during each one movie's PR campaign a main actor openly supported #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement using profanity?
Huh, what if we got Captain Sivana instead?
Would Sivana just murder his family or try to be a better person and move on?
>So did the Wizard inadvertently cause his own downfall by not opening up to Sivana?
I think the wizard didn't know that Sivana would spend the rest of his life to learn how to and successfully gain entry back to take the 7 sins seeing that hundreds of others were just rejected and thought it was some fever dream.
i want to see the animated credits again
>I think the wizard didn't know that Sivana would spend the rest of his life to learn how to and successfully gain entry back to take the 7 sins seeing that hundreds of others were just rejected and thought it was some fever dream.
Oh yeah, Sivana did do that.
But how did he get the funding from his dad and brother though? Was it all like a cover up with that psychologist lady?
read OG Freddie's origin. Captain Marvel is WAY edgier than golden age Superman comics, which rarely had anything bad happening to the good people
Captain Nazi?
I don't think that he'd immediately murder them since his resentment by the boardroom scene had been festering for decades, but they'd probably flip the fuck out that a grown man was suddenly in the backseat where Thad once was and get into another car crash anyway.
Superman also saved people in MoS.
And saving villain was in BvS.
I like to think Peter's a movie buff and he's used to talking with people who don't know that much about film
Was the wizard revived after the rock crushing? I know he can be summoned by the censer but then i see him getting shanked by bodog
Probably, we dont even know what sivana industries actually sells
>When they flash back to Shazam's childhood and his mom speaks in a more frustrated and dejected tone
I remember that in The Monster Society of Evil book. The Wizard can be visited during the Big Bang because time is convoluted.
Maybe Sivana did the same thing and teleported back in time.
It's a company about family right (Elevator talks about it)? Maybe its Insurances? Medical research?
Yeah, anything is possible but it has something to do with families.
a grandpa gets MURDERED because he shown generosity and kid will be crippled for life in his non-Marvel form.
Hey, at least Freddy could do Mary now.
The mass hysteria thing woulf be a real phenomenon that needs studying, he did get his PhD
Is it wrong for Captain Marvel to be a husbando.
J-just asking
Depends, What's your age?
25, I'm female though am I spared?
I mean just look at him, he's dreamy
Why is Mary the only one with a skirt design? Should not her suit be the same as the others?
Those are the roles Zach Levi was born to play. I mean, he's Flynn Goddamn Rider.
Because she secretly likes flashing her panties at people.
>I watch the Tangled series
>I really liked Shazam
>Only now do I realise they have the same voice
It was probably also a budget issue, it's clear they didn't want to make this some expensive spectacle when they didn't need to. Either way I'd say it payed off pretty well.
Those were fanboys that desperately wanted the movies to be good, not that they actually liked it. It was nothing more than a way for them to excuse the movies shortcomings, because they literally couldn't do anything else after the trash fire that was BvS.
No, because the Wizard was right about Sivanna. He couldn't be trusted with that kind of power, the first thing he would've done is beat his own family to near death for mistreating him.
>especially when you see the perspective of billy as a 4 year old
Man, when we see the same flashback from the mom's perspective, and she is not all smiles and love as Billy remembers... man that hits hard.
Kids movies used to be fucking dark, so I can appreciate that.
Any examples of Dark moments in Kids movies? I think I’ve forgotten most of them at this point.
>a kid looking at the broken corpse of his father, while his uncle tells him that it is all his fault
You don't see shit like this in cartoons anymore.
Also, if you want a live action example, how about Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, with the creepy as shit boat scene? Or the Neverending Story, with Artax's death, the Rockbiter lamenting the deaths of his friends, Gmork being Gmork, or the main villain basically being sentient existential dread?
Well like everyone else in the world Yea Forums didn't actually watch the movie
Speaking of the bullies, how in the name of fuck could those two hit Freddie with their truck and then start beating him up in broad daylight, right in front of the school in plain view of dozens of students, and nothing happenes to the them?
Yay but did it have the MEME GENE SCEEN?
It's good faggot
Having 'serious' elements doesn't make something dark. Shit like The Goonies or Time Bandits is full of 'dark' shit but few would ever say either qualifies as 'quite dark.'
Wow, I really forgot how dark kids movies were.
When did this shift towards friendlier villains happen? Was there a specific moment or was it gradual?
>thought people were just memeing about this scene
>it was actually fucking hilarious
>the fatality too
In Tarzan where his parents were fucking eaten
not a movie, but having to do the thing that killed the proTag's father is quite dark.
Is this Rimba Racers?
yes. why?
Nah its just that I rarely see Malaysian stuff being posted here.
Is the show any good?
it's good
Gradual, but it likely got boosted after the 80s thanks to movies like "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" pushing soccer moms to lobby the MPAA to create the PG-13 rating.
I always wondered where the bully meme comes from. I've never seen one in real life.
Now, opportunistic assholes, those are dime a dozen.
In the comics their dad was a rich asshole that was worse than both of them (Turned into a demon by the sins as well).
Basically threatened the school and put the blame on Billy.
I don't necessarily think the company itself has anything to do with families. It almost seems like one of those shitty video displays certain jobs have about how the employees are "like a family" to give the illusion that your boss actually cares about you.
>get into another car crash anyway.
HA! The wizard is accidentally responsible for his Dad getting crippled, and Sivana becomes a bad guy anyways as a result.
Snyder couldn't have done Shazam because in his version Billy would have never share his power with the lesser men.
Because unlike everyone else, she had a classic design they wanted to keep in some capacity.
Well the thing with Sivana is that he was a kid mistreated by his father and brother which only got worse after the wizard told him he was unworthy, which caused Sivana to freak out like any kid who got spirited away into a wizard lair would get, which later caused the accident that make the relationship with his family even more sour.
Now Imagine if it was Billy the one he called unworthy, his mother didn't wanted him and this merlin guy either, that would have screwed him for life.
With pleasure. Darla was best sister, and a good girl
Eugine is such a fucking spaz. That fucking Watchdogs joke kills me, because I actually took a course on Ethical Hacking and of course Watchdogs teaches jack shit about real hacking, but the fact that he tried to imply it's the same thing cracks me up. It's so dumb it circles back to being funny.
Tarzan also has the baby gorilla being eaten and Clayton getting hanged.
Hee hee haw ho ho! How terrible it would be if something bad happened to Mary...
Billy had a shit parent
2 shit parents
He turned out alot better tho
The parent excuse is tried and old
>Ethical Hacking
Uh what?
Hacking, but for the purpose of improving cyber security. Hence, ethical.
Damn ok, but why not call it Security Debugging or something? Ethical Hacking sounds like a sociology course on the ethics of hacking.
Unironically based.
I loved this scene there should be more of this in Capemovies.
Not too sure myself, but I guess it's not exclusively for security purposes, so maybe naming it a security debugging course is misleading.
But
BUT MY PARENTS ARE DEEEAAAD!!!
"H4xx0ring" is way more 1337 than "debugging"
Billy's also 14 and not in his 50's. He still has a lot of time to turn around and not wallow in hated for decades.
This.
Sivana was constantly shit on as a kid and adult so obviously he'll end up the way he did.
Well, that class also taught me the basis in how to break into a site or designated IP address, and how to find data and plant viruses, so that's not really a debugging thing to do, more like a "how to fuck someone's day up and the best way to prevent it" kinda thing. There was also a book on cracking passwords, but our teacher wouldn't teach us that because he deemed it too irresponsible.
Isn't Eugene's primary ability is to communicate with Machines? Now I realized why they went with Watchdogs.
They dislike him but he is still the younger son of a massive corporate family, if the comics are anything to go by sivana is actually a very intelligent doctor with degrees in many things sending him away to academia is the least embarrassing way for a family to get rid of someone
his mom is currently in an abusive relationship right, I always got the vibe watching it.
desperation.
The difference is that for Shazam, it's kind of normal that he acts stupid because he's a kid.
While the entire defining point of Superman is that he always cares for others first. That's what makes him Super, not his powers. So him being a smug asshole having a Dragon Ball Z fight in downtown metropolis, is completely out of character.
Why jump, why not catch the truck? WHY?
Letting Snyder have an opinion was a mistake
why would you copy the two last panels, why not make the second to last one of surprise or realization? It looks horrible this way
Pathetic box office hehe
Modern comics are lazy
and water is wet
What about the wisdom of Solomon?
Wisdom is useless if you don't want to listen to it.
You don't have wisdom if you don't listen to wisdom.
Since Captain Marvel is said to HAVE the wisdom of Solomon he must be wise enough to heed his own wisdom.
Gonna be sad not having Cavil for stuff like this, he could have pulled it off.
Superman destroys Metropolis all the time, not only in Snyder movies.
And now that you speak of DBZ, it's actually Goku and co. the only heroes i can recall that ask the villain to take the fight to an unpopulated place.
>And now that you speak of DBZ, it's actually Goku and co. the only heroes i can recall that ask the villain to take the fight to an unpopulated place.
Yeah they made it a point to do this during the most of the villain fights.
What's even better is most of the villains comply.
>BOX OFFICE MEANS BETTER MOVIE REEEEEEEEE
Because FUCK that truck driver.
>Superman destroys Metropolis all the time, not only in Snyder movies.
That must've been in the recent reboots, in the comics I used to read, he always does everything he can to make sure innocents are not hurt. The only time Metropolis gets destroyed is when Luthor decides to nuke the city or Doomsday is set loose or something like that, that not even Superman can stop.
> it's actually Goku and co. the only heroes i can recall that ask the villain to take the fight to an unpopulated place.
In the last few years of Dragonball episodes, Goku's "I-want-to-fight" mentality directly threatened 12 universes with complete eradication.
Goku has been OOC since the episode where he finds out Zamasu took his body without even asking.
>Goku's "I-want-to-fight" mentality directly threatened 12 universes with complete eradication.
Woah, how about actually watching the show bro.
It was a plot point that Zeno had already made up his mind about deleting the lesser universes. All Goku did was give at least one universe a chance to survive.
>taking watching/reading anything after the frieza arc
seething hehe
Some women are just drawn to the wrong crowd regardless of previous abuse like my sister.
"in recent reboots"
i.e. "I don't really know what I am talking about"
He also says that about Alien in Infinity War and like the other post said its a movie franchaise constantly getting added upon and its one of those things even people that dont know movies know.
You couldn't be more wrong.
There's a difference between dark and dour and self important. That's the key to it. Shazam used a light touch and kept the tone varied, so it doesn't feel heavy. A lot of movies just go unrelentingly heavy because they don't get the distinction.
Shazam was doing some interesting things paralleling Sivana and Billy as coming from families that were less than ideal; how they were both chasing an overriding obsession; and how in the end of his quest, Billy responded to his mom with compassion, and Sivana went for revenge. But it never beat the audience over the head with it.
Gold standard for dark shit is Watership Down- youtube.com
youtube.com
I can't find a decent clip of the snare scene, but it is graphic. Although there's some question if Watership Down is a kids movie.
i'd rather not have Shazam in Snyderverse.
>Tell me... do you bleed if I say the word?
Anyone have pics of Mister Mind?
>Mr. Goldstein, it's 4 in the morning...
>LISTEN TO ME HENRY YOU NEED TO WRITE A SCENE WHERE THE KIDS' MOM SAYS SHE DOESN'T WANT HIM
>What're you talking about, that's too f-
>I CAN'T JACK OFF IF THE KID ISN'T COMPLETELY EMOTIONALLY DESTROYED, HENRY
>Sir are you on cocai-
>I NEED THE SCENE HENRY
Don't forget the twenty night filters on the cameras.
A lot of parts of Shazam were clearly affectionately parodying Man of Steel, especially Supes vs. Zod.
Temple of Doom was legit fucked up at parts for a kid
>friendlier
I mean, look at Dr. Facilier... was it 2010 or so?
Unfortunately, now they keep wasting time trying to make "sympathetic" or "human" villains.
In the 80s it was kinda hard to tell if some movies were for kids. "Dark Comedies" were all the rage until early 90s.
I mean, The Goonies, of all movies, had a dead FBI agent with a bullet hole in the forehead, open eyes and all.
it's implied that the dad's dad (presumably the one he got the company from) was a bastard too. What kind of grandpa would have a problem with his grandson playing with a magic 8-ball?
Superman only rescues people (actually just one person) in Smallville
In Metropolis he only saves the plot device that is there to make him kill Zod, otherwise he doesn't even interact with civilians
In Shazam on the other hand the Shazam family rescue dozens of people and Shazam comforts the little girl with the plush tiger
I like to think that he was like "lol Zod you dumb fucker I'm just gonna jump over it nice try idiot" and then he turns around like "... ....FUCK."
That shit sucked
Ouch user, you want to talk about it
no its just you
>actually just one person
If you are talking about Man of Steel, he saves, from the top of my head:
>all the kids at the bus in Smallville
>the workers at the oil rig
>the soldiers during the Smallville fight against Zod's army
>the entire world when he destroyed the terraforming machine
Seriously, i don't get the "Man of Murder" meme. Even killing Zod makes sense to me: imagine fighting a guy with your same strength and superior combat training (so you can't brute force him into a desolated place to fight him), who's not going to stop killing people until there's no one left, and for whom you don't know a way to contain him, killing him just before he fries a family with his eyes seems like the only option.
Man of Steel is such an underrated movie.
not him, but i had the same problem
long story short, imouto learned the hard way and i helped her to recover. The only good thing about defending my imouto from some nigger and his fuckboy for 4 whole months till the abusive faggot was finally jailed was seeing my imouto face finally sleeping in peace before she moved to my aunt's flat in another city
I'll always remember how that faggot had to ambush me with another 3 thugs to beat me because his fuckboy and him couldn't even dare to hit me
>his fuckboy
???
>so you can't brute force him into a desolated place to fight him
You know who could think of a clever way to solve this dilemma?
Superman.
Yeah, but it would have been a dumb deus ex machina thing. Or not? What would the ideal Supes have done, according to you?
Outsmart him? Super-vibrate him into the ground when he was using the heat vision? Freeze him with his breath? Block him with his own arm (with all the incidental damage it implies) until he figured something out? Using his own heat vision at Zod? Dunno. I'm not in charge of making a good Superman movie right now, and I'm clearly nowhere as smart as him.
I thought the mom was a prostitute and living with her pimp
