Nah, it's just kinda mediocre. Not great or shit. At least it has pedo and waifub8, so you'll guarantee at least a few threads about it.
Because the threads always derail to spics talking about actual Mexico and posting in spanish
yo incluido
Valentino is best boy. Victor a shit.
Yes
what do you use to make these charts
or do you just manually edit them together
who's the fat kid above gunther? where's he from?
no
Maybe.
Yes, nobody gives a shit about Cartoon Network anymore.
The only good show left is Gumball, and that only has like 5 episodes left before it's over.
People expect it to be Mexican Gravity Falls, but it turned out to be nothing so ambitious. It's decent, but not really impressive.
Its interest-drawing power is supposed to be from how it pulls from Mesoamerican mythology and its Latin setting, but the creator stated in an interview that he doesn't want to touch the "scary" myths, and Mexanons have ripped into the show for being an Americanized version of Mexico.
Isn't the show literally made by some chicanos who have never been to Mexico?
The creator's name is Diego Molano. Not sure about whether he's ever been to Mexico or not, but he said in an interview that he wants the show to break the barrier in terms of Latino representation for children's television, and to give Latino kids insight into their culture. He voices Victor, and it becomes pretty clear early on that he's new to VA work.
there's no lore or special background to the kids or their location explaining why weird stuff happens every episode. people just randomly happen to have supernatural stuff happen where they live, which is kind of boring to me compared to something like gravity falls or early svtfoe.
Except El Tigre did that shit and wasn't a bitch about it.
Why do Mexicans hate Chicano’s so much
Wouldn’t a Mexican born in America wanting to try to get in touch with his grandparents culture be something at all
No, it's just kind of there. There's nothing particularly wrong with it; it's decently well drawn and the characters are believable, it just doesn't have any particular flavor outside of the whole Mexico gimmick
There's a fine line between getting in touch with your culture versus portraying stereotypes. The main characters work a taco stand where they serve hard-shelled tacos. Apparently, hard shells aren't even a Mexican thing.
>Is it shit?
Every cartoon is shit today. Last good cartoon was Regular Show.
Haven't meet a chicano ever, but based on what i was able to see from time to time, i think it's because they are just americans with american mindsets. There needs to be a huge need for "identity" like all americans, and use the mexican heritage as a token instead of it being an actual part of the personality.
It is literally for the exact same reason that people from Africa hate black Americans. Everything about America is plastic and fake and feels disgusting, and nobody who lives in America can escape that.
No, user, there was....
uhm….
….the first three Samurai Jack episodes were good!
Victor is a horrible character and the moment creators realize that making one character of the duo an asshole isn't fun to watch, is the moment cartoons get better.
>Gravity Falls with tacos and bad spanish
Yeah, is shit.
>God I hate everything about American culture as I sit here on an American website's board about predominantly American cartoons
The creator based Victor on himself. He's supposed to be an asshole so that he can learn lessons.
thicc mexigoth loli doesn't get much screentime
He doesn't learn shit and is really obnoxious.
Africans hate Black Americans because they feel like Black Americans are wasting what they have while not doing anything with it
Reminder Africans are the same people that are constantly toppling governments down every week that it makes France blush so take what Africans say with a grain of salt
>The only good show left is Gumball
OK K.O.! and Craig of the Creek would like to have a word with you. Also, I still believe that Steven Universe hasn’t ended yet
Literally everything she says is arousing with that lisp. Even when she taunted the boys with that chicken call, no in fact that was especially sexy.
japan website
Fuck you, loli-loving scum. If there's anyone who doesn't get much screentime, it's Xochi.
So, when's the next episode?
Will it not be for a while because the first 10 eps have already been spunked off?
>Also, I still believe that Steven Universe hasn’t ended yet
All we have left is the TV movie, dawg
The Chupacabra episode premieres this Saturday
>The Dark Room: After getting rejected by a photography club, Val tries to get a picture of the legendary chupacabra to prove himself.
>we finally got her official model sheet
Hells yeah

>Saturday
Ah man, we just had one of those. Now I gotta wait for another?
When is the episode with the owl woman?
A Rebuttal
>actively anticipating another episode of this lukewarm, mediocre Chicano dreck
None of those shows are anything above shit
Haven’t you heard, user? OK K.O.! is cancelled
>but he said in an interview that he wants the show to break the barrier in terms of Latino representation for children's television, and to give Latino kids insight into their culture
that Loud House spinoff will probably do better in that and ratings.
>break the barrier
>half Mexican character
>hard shell tacos
>Mexicans skateboarding
Are they both half-Mexican?
Hosted in america, created by an american, uses english, is primarily staffed by americans, and is rooted in the american anime fandom which is very different from the Japanese one
If that offends you, just go use a wetback imageboard instead
Also, it's "japanese", not "japan" you spic
Just the fatty. Same thing happened with Marco being half white for no real reason. Then again, even Coco needed its shit slapped before it had any actual Mexican.
>Roundtable
Hide the make a wish kids.
OK KO is a really fun show, it's just really odd and niche.
>Same thing happened with Marco being half white for no real reason
Marco is half-white because Nefcy's husband, who Marco is based on, is also half-white. Valentino is mixed probably because execs/the creator wanted to make a character who approached the Mexican stuff as if it were fascinating and new. Also, because too many ethnic characters scare kids or something.
It's weird that he's the half-white one because in the "Suerte" episode, he was the one properly pronouncing the card names while Victor could barely speak Spanish.
tangled the series would like to have a word with you
Another soft show, this one just has a little girl into dark things and a teenager with the typical idgaf attitude. So threads will pop up but with no real discussion.
*saves Cartoon Network*
>show to break the barrier in terms of Latino representation for children's television
Mucha Lucha did that 17 years ago. But I wonder if he and other Latinos knew about that show though.
When was it ever confirmed that Valentino is mixed? I don't recall that in the show. Just that he and Vic are half-brothers.
You wanna say that again, PUNK?
>i listen too fucking youtubers for animation news rather than literally finding the crew
lol
>victor guadalupe marine lagune calaca calavera
That's not how names works.
I need more cute/lewd Vic pics
Not even Mexican names?
>guadalupe is a female name
>marine doesn't mean shit in spanish
>laguna is a last name
>calaca and calavera are the same shit
Probably they just picked a bunch of random words to make his name.
I was taking user's word for it. This is the first time I heard Valentino is supposed to be mixed.
more like Spictor and Goblino
lol
It's a shame they didn't get actually fluent writers from CN LA or something. If he wanted to pull the diversity card it wouln't be hard to at least do it in dialogue.
Mexican here, Guadalupe can be a male name. I've met a couple of dudes named "Jose Guadalupe"
>using Steven, of all people, as a threat
Yes but Victor Guadalupe doesn't sounds good like Jose Guadalupe or Jose Maria.
you're saying you don't feel threatened when he walks at you like this?
>Yea Forums formulates my opinion for me
just watch it my man.
you'll never watch anything good if you let Yea Forums decide for you.
the gold standard around here is waifus the more waifus it has the more it gets talked about
What's Genndy up to now?
>first episode was a shipping episode
>best girl was present literally the entire time
Hallmarks of a good show people
>no Charlene model sheet
LAME
The first episode was the mischief god one.
As it should be
I don't get what is the appeal of gapped teeth. Just imagine how painful the fellatio would be
You're making tooth gaps sound like fangs or something. I'm sure fellatio would still be fine
Fucking his wife?
Gumball has been a half-assed parody of itself for multiple seasons now, if it died now I wouldn't miss it
St. Paddy's was a month ago, lad
Ramus from Lunar Silver Star Story
my favorite TTG episodes
>liking fatties
>liking little boys
fatties are the favorites of pedophiles who are into boys
If those are his selling points for the show, it's no wonder it's so forgettable.
>filename

Directing two more movies for Sony and another Adult Swim project
>Amber Cragg is a character designer now
oh no
Some of you guys will watch anything. CN after 2010 has been lame.
Why is Yellow a sticc when they've shown that she has large shartbrapping hips from her first appearance
What ongoing series do you enjoy then?
>shartbrapping hips
I never thought it'd be possible to make wide birthing hips sound even hotter
nothing during the daytime.
So... nighttime? And what's the last cartoon you can remember actively enjoying?
Yeah a niche that eats shit
Jojo
Same.
Victor is going to get in a lamb outfit in the next episode, maybe someone will draw lamby Vic and Dipper together.
Only for the hard gay ones. If you're a Victor man you probably also like either the loli or Wendy clone
There has never been a time where I legit hate a couple. Amber and Shelby are literally scum. Fuck Hussie fuck Sugar and fuck the western comic and animation industry.
THIS. I wish this that trope would just die.
You're wrong, but also right. I just prefer Victor because he's more boyish, but there's also people who like both lolishota who would lean towards Victor over Valentino because of his body type.
Those are really appealing drawings. It's a shame they're being wasted on such a shit protagonist. Hopefully, the VaV team will get better at writing a lovable asshole character, and hopefully, Diego will get better at voice acting.
All we can hope for is that this show does some character growth. Victor has been learning the "lesson of the day" nearly every episode already.
And I doubt it for Diego, just less crying scenes will be good, Victor's voice doesn't bother me that much outside of those.
>shartbrapping hips
my fetish
I 'member.
I don't know when it ended though.
Why is she so fucking hot, bros?
What is this show even about?
Monsters? Mystery?
the [as] project is called Primal, not a lot of info on it.
>Created by Diego Molano, this supernatural adventure comedy follows two half-brothers who spend a summer with their grandma in Monte Macabre, a small and mysterious town, where the myths and legends of Latin American folklore come to life.
Don't be fooled into thinking this is anything like Gravity Falls, though. Ten episodes in and there's no lore or mystery, so it's assumed that the show will remain primarily episodic.
It's not good enough to gush over, nor terrible enough to complain. The only things I have to say about it apply to CN as a whole: their lineup looks too cheap, and that no matter how talented the artists are, everything that passes through CN comes out at the other end looking bland and stripped of any personality.
I don't want to hate on CN, but they need to look at their competition and stop pulling their punches.
>Don't be fooled into thinking this is anything like Gravity Falls, though. Ten episodes in and there's no lore or mystery
Then why would people watch it?
I'm just confused here.
>not just hard shell but the U shaped ones Tacos
that is the most Chicano stuff you can put in a fucking show
That is not how not only Mexicans but all Latinos names works you stupid retard (Victor)
Its whatever First Name your parents decide then Father first Last Name then Mother first Last name how names works here, some countries how quirks on naming convictions but people arent Picasso levels of fuck you amount of names (whom was Spaniard to begin with)
To be honest I never liked Mucha Lucha that much, el Tigre was fun but those cartoons never get a lot of fans because the Mexico memes don't apply to the rest of South America.
Victor's VA sucks ass and is grating to listen to. He does this thing where instead of being able to laugh normally in the voice he just says "ha ha ha".
It's also apparently about as authentically Mexican as Taco Bell.
Good waifu's though.
What would be the perfect South American cartoon?
>tfw when Japanese that maybe never eat the dishes actually got it right than some possibly chicano trying to promote said culture to the masses
and is not the first anime that did that, there were others that got other Mexican stuff right.
Legend Quest did it better too, while being a better Mexican Gravity Falls than Mexican Gravity Falls.
Carlota's the only reason I'm remotely even interested in the spin-off
We don"t care about modern cartoons anymore in Chile because we have an anime channel it airs anime in japanese with spanish subs.
>she takes over the fart jokes from Lori
Why are you South American guys so addicted to Anime?
In the Weeb ranking, you guys are at the top followed by Arabs and Blacks.
Care to explain why? I'm strangely curious.
Also, could you give me a local Chilean cartoon? I wanna know that as well.
Los Casagrandes will be unapologetically Mexicano. It's about living in the city, after all.
dunno about Chileans but in Mexico in the late 70s it was cheaper to license anime than the extortion price Americans charged for their stuff that is why ever since it has been either Hanna Barbera, Looney stuff, some American live shows and mainly Anime that has been on Public TV, Dragon Ball (child Goku Saga) and then DBZ being on literal repeat for like 20 years so like anyone will know about it.
It was sure nice seen basically we were given most of Toonami stuff but on our national public TV, like Pokemon, Inuyasha, Sakura Captors, Saint Seiya and more
A list of the stuff that has being broadcast on Public TV channels ever since:
animenewsnetwork.com
animenewsnetwork.com
Because public TV has been airing anime since the late 70s. But if you wanna watch a Chilean cartoon Diego y Glottbis pretty cool but I don't lnow if it's on YouTube.
Oh, so this is why.
Weird, we had way more variety in Southeast Asia. Maybe this is why we don't have such a big anime culture (compared to you guys)
>Diego y Glottbis
Can't find it. Could you link me a video or something?
You'd be surprised how easy it is to make Mexican food in Japan. I went over there in a study abroad group with a bunch of Hispanic students and they managed to raid the nearby convenience store and make pretty authentic Mexican food out of it.
This. What is it with all these shows coming out and claiming they're 'the first and/or most honest representation of (insert culture) ' when there are so obviously so many before them? If they're so interested in a show representing a culture then you would think they would give props to their predecessors.
But nah, I'm giving them too much credit. They probably just want attention.
Thanks, Chileanon.
wont lie, I got memed into this artist, I like the idea of this weird mix of country-balls stuff and Hetalia Latin America version
/int/ farm?
not really, they dont spend most of their time comparing how "white" they are with each other or being /pol/-lite
>Charlene and Xochi are basically perfect
my favorites are still Rosita and mexiConnie.
Wow, I've never known you can make Mexican food in Japan what ingredients did they use? Did they know which ingredients to use and which ones were available?
Here is hoping they get an episode one day.
I haven't seen it yet, or really followed the show, but the adverts they were playing for it on CN did not sell the show well.
Why do they have typical figures for kids while Charlene is a walking pear?
>Cartoon made by chicanos who only knowledge about mexican culture is muh tacos and Dia de Muertos.
Yeah, no big surprise this is shit. At least Valentino is good debushota material.
Maybe the creator likes them thicc which is why he paired her with his self-insert.
>shotafags arguing between victor and valentino
>not just accepting both
they're all cuties
>Putting Steven and Gideon in generic fat kid chart
Really?
>Every cartoon is shit today
Okay
>The last good cartoon was the regular show
Your physically hurting me
i don't really remember el tigre being very in depth with its mexican mythology, unless it had really subtle hints. It was mostly a modern day super hero show set in mexico with references to its mythology every now and then, and when it did reference it it would be the "day of the dead" or that grim reaper lady thats very popular with the down trodden ( can you tell i'm not mexican ) which people in these threads have been saying is a problem because it so obvious and mainstream tht it really doussn't inform the audiance of anything new. im not bashing el tigre at all or saying it needed to go in depth with its lore, its just in terms of mythology i think Victor and Valentino at least tries to explore lesser known aspects of mexican mythology though the execution can be debated.
dear god don't put that thought into my head, i want my Latina goddess to remain beautiful and graceful. Lori can be a brap queen since she is your average mid-low middle class teenage white girl.
based
What’s wrong with Steven and post redemption Gideon?
How do migrants not find this show racist?
Nope, the drawing of the show looks way to flat
Kids are not going to care to look at it.
What about this !
If you're referring to that Comic-Con teaser (youtube.com
Another thing to note is that we still don't actually know what Infinity Train's character designs will be like since we only have Tulip, a corgi, and a tiny spherical robot to base it off of. There will likely be a whole number of unique designs throughout the show.
>AwestruckVox
My nigga. I would still take a nice, thorough whiff of that thicc mamacita's asscrack without hesitation, but the brapfags have got to go. /trash/ has a home for their degeneracy.
>no canon zettai ryouiki
Dumb fucking Mexicans.
butthurt?
sure teacher
Honestly. When will people learn?
Well, someone's getting groped and molested on their way to wherever.
BASED
Gideon is disgusting. Get some standards.
Who's this vixen
The fact that her designs are so easy to fix is what drives me up the wall.
Literally only watching because of her.
It really is Charlene's show.
isn't this that webcomic that is basically a bad mix of homestuck and steven universe?
>gothicc
>loli
>gapped teeth
Is she designed by >Shadman?
The show has fucking american """"""""""tacos""""""""" instead of the real thing.
He's a fucking chicano nigger that has probably never been in Mexico for more than a week at a time, but he still feels like it's "his culture" and "his heritage" when he's completely disconnected from everything happening in Mexico.
>I WUZ MEXICANS N SHIT NIGGA
>Craig of the Creek
>Good
Jesus Christ please tell me this isn't where Yea Forums standards lie now
the stripe leggings look fucking retarded and no real woman would wear this
Yeah. That's the one.
Is she high?
(you)
Do you really think that they would care about a simple cartoon that portrays them wrongly and falsely? Would modern blacks be still offended by black face? Would modern asians be offended by an Chinese man with a cone hat and fu Manchu mustache. Are Italians offended by Mario? Next thing you’ll know that they’ll make a show about a penguin and a walrus doing stereotypical things that penguins and walrus do. Would they be offended that penguins eat pizza while real ones don’t. Or how the walrus does crack but a real one doesn’t. Or how about a Jewish man who use the power of money to solve problems and fight an undead hitler. Cartoons shouldn’t be the subjects of shaping a persons identity, it’s all about living your life as simple ordinary human being not a cartoon character.
I thought based on the first episode that all of the alebrijes would crack and free them and we'd have a latino Cardcaptor on our hands.
Nah, just smug. I guess that's a certain kind of high.
Because niggas are tired of lore. Things just can't be CARTOONS anymore. ffs
‘Cause it’s lame.
I think we need more Xochi and Charlene. Both are top tier.
That's just Loud House with more tan. It will probably be about as good as Loud House, so middling at most.
That actually sounds like a neat idea. Each alebrije would contain a mythical creature from Meso mythology, and the boys have to capture them all while dealing with Huehuecoyotl.
I want the BBEG of the whole series to be Huitlacoche.
Cuz no one really heard about it, also Andres looks kinda similar to another character called “Abu-Futtaim” from an Arabic cartoon called Screws
>black skin
>big nose
He's argentinian.
Mexican name format is “ [Second Name], ”
she's cute
hope her and the thicc goth are shadman's next lewds
That's how names works in South America and Spain in general, not only in Tacolandia. Also the second name is optional.
Unironially this. It's bad, and not good.
shadman doesnt do loli anymore.
Gumball and OKKO are tied for me. If you want another show watch tangled the series
The first two episodes of samurai jack were some of the best ive ever seen in a cartoon. OKKO is good. And tangled is pretty great. And also as a bonus, star wars the clone wars is getting finished
Except that Star Vs did it better with Marc... wait, that pussy chicano crossdreser is a disgrace
>First 10 seconds of the video
>OK KO IS MY FAVORITE CARTOON NETWORK SHOW OF ALL TIME
Jesus Christ. Sucking the show's dick already. Ian must've felt great hearing that.
yum
>Did they know which ingredients to use and which ones were available?
No, they just went into the convenience store with a vague idea of what they would need to whip up some elotes. They really wanted some god damn elotes. Had some trouble finding the right spices, since they didn't directly have habanero, so they substituted some sort of Japanese chili spice. I have no idea how they found the ingredients for some of the other stuff I saw them eating, and we were there for a month so they couldn't have brought it with them (we were told to pack as lightly as possible and everyone did).
Hispanic people are some wizard cooks, man.
Say it ain't so!
Had one too many close calls with the law, I assume.
I'm from a Mexican family from both sides and everyone does the structure [first name] [Mother's Last Name] [Father's Last name].
Has Isabella gotten a speaking line yet?
For people that dick-ride Shadmeme as much as you do, it's weird that you don't know he's just a twitter trend-whore now.
Living in the US?
How easy would be to pull and actual Good End Chikan in Mexico? What's the slut-status any given day over there?
>What's Genndy up to now?
Hotel Transylvania 4, 5, 6 and 7.
She had one line in episode 4.
I misread that as Mesopotamian mythology in its Latin setting. How would that have made it change?
Never watch cartoons made by chicanos, NEVER!!
How else does this show fail at being mexican besides hard tacos?
From the looks if it, apparently everything.
The tacos they sell aren't just hard-shelled, but vegan too. Is that a Mexican thing?
Besides that, there's gratuitous Spanglish, there was a totally xtreme episode about skateboarding, and I'm not sure if it matters, but the town seems to be a tourist attraction.
who do you ship
>point out that his art may have caused him to have run ins with the law
>dick riding
Say what? I don't even like his art.
eww, what's the point of marketing something you're not going to deliver?
>Is that a Mexican thing?
That's just a thing in street food, period. Any major metropolitan area would have that variation of an already existing food. Are you a hick?
Shit-taste and You.
Victor and Valentino x Me
For starters, the show wouldn't be Latin anymore. It would take place in the old world with mythology playing an even bigger role. There would probably be a joke about "Crazy Abe" leaving town because a big voice from the sky told him he was going to father up a nation.
She's probably the saving grace of the show. Easily more interesting than Victor or Valentino.
The show's setting is more rural than metropolitan. There's a jungle within walking distance of the town.
>She's probably the saving grace of the show
lol dumb-ass pedo
New Fetish Acquired
These NuPPG-tier character designs leave a bad taste in my mouth
>lol dumb-ass pedo
Love your casual projections and virtue signalling.
sniff
>Victor and Valentino x Me
Well I expect you put out some good shit if your featured on the show, I'll be watching.
You know they're going to go for low tier Mexican food brap jokes with the pretty girl character, user. This is still the Loud House.
Good. Sick of shitty "lore".
Victor pisses me off and is just an asshole with no redeeming traits. No wonder their grandma likes Valentino better.
Nobody, all the guys in this show are lame and don't deserve a waifu. Spictor is a little prick and Goblino is a big pussy.
The opening feels like a lie. There's not nearly as much adventure as it implies.
Super cute!!!
Nobody likes Chile
so makes sense She becomes Mexico overprotective girlfriend then
Who, though? Where am I shining my signal I'm just calling you, a pedo, stupid. That's all. I swear the lack of self-awareness with you pedos is reaching a level I imagine only furries had with their Fursecution back in the day.
Epic Misha-post, Misha-chan!
Misha For the Win.
because every thread turns into either spics or shadman + underage goth girl posting
>Vegan
No such thing, Very unlikely if it's street food, anf way even less if it's a rural place. It would be easier to go to a store that sells office supplies and when in line notice that the guy in front of you is the talking vending machine that is a friend of Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Never in my life have i seen any of that stuff, yes, i do tend to eat street food from time to time, and yes, i'm mexican.
Victor is such a shit character so far. And a crybaby, which is beyond insulting. I only like Val. And he's just a blank slate. It doesn't and shouldn't take anyone long to see why people are only watching this for Charlene (the goth girl) and Xochi (the babysitter).
This.
>Very unlikely if it's street food
Chilangos and their trendy food trucks would like to have a word with you.
But I understand if you don't want to talk to them, because who wants to talk to chilangos, really?
Glad I'm not alone - that show is pretty garbage, even without that, too. Save for Ludo and Toffee - I like those 2 characters and wish the show was about them. Might have actually been funny, for one thing.
>and yes, i'm mexican
Bunch of dumb-asses over there, huh? You got monsters in the show, but vegan food is just the wildest concept? Anyways, bad show is bad.
The point of street food is because it's a)profitable , b) easy to do , c)tasty and d)easy to buy, so i don't get it. Vegan stuff is supposed to be that whole crap of "no animal anf no processed anything" speech, so wouldn't trying to make vegan street food be way too hard to the point the time invested doesn't pay up? from what i hear the vegan stuff doesn't have a good taste. I'm not mad or anything, just genuinely confused, it's like if you told me that you made cereal with milk without using cereal or milk.
Nobody likes vegan food, not even vegans, that's why they always try to give seitan and tofu meat-like flavors and texture.
yes, only Chilangos, some ultra fresa women and unironically faggots eat that hilariously expensive shit here, I know in my city only a few store (American of origin nonetheless) sell that pretentious Vegan "all organic" garbage that is at least 3 time the price of normal stuff, guess who can afford such insulting prices for everyday food? veganism is peak entitlement
I shop Victor and Misha now
With neighbors like Peru, Bolivia and Argensimians we have to be defensive all the time.
requesting gif version for research purposes
>but vegan too. Is that a Mexican thing?
more of an urban hip foodie thing
I was going to say it is a thing.......... in ultra poor places were meat is a luxury... but then again at least they can afford to get eggs if they have a couple of hens around so...... yeah is not
>and to give Latino kids insight into their culture
>Hard shell tacos
>Explains piñatas as if they have to be fucking explained
These two alone show how little this nigger is involved with Mexican culture.
Cuz it's fucking boring.
Anything that -could- be interesting will never be fleshed out or will in fact be watered down.
There are many reasons to hate Chicanos, the main complain is how double faced and fake they are.
They either Mexican or American depending if it suits them on the situation.
The gap in the teeth is for target practice.
rule34.paheal.net
if that's his selling points then no wonder no one cares about this show. El Tigre and Mucha Lucha did it a million times better and those characters weren't mixed
Mexican food is really popular on Nipland
>victor doesn't even want charlene
He honestly doesn't fucking deserve her.
OKKO tends to be a very love it or hate it type show, with it's highly stylized art and heavy use of references being the main points of contention
Maybe they're like the Mexican version of Ken-Sama. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, but some people just find it annoying and cringey.
that's the most discomforting image I've ever seen
You are halfway there.
Imagine the Mexican Ken-Sama WHEN he is on America but he turns into the American version of Ken-Sama the moment he goes to Mexico.
RIP Ken-sama, your sacrifice will never be forgotten
so misha
so post
actually is not just those niggers but all the LatinX scum that behaves like that when they go back to "visit family" to their parents country
Damn I wish I could hang around, but I got comms to work on.
Hopefully this thread will still be up when I'm done with them.
Did I miss something?
Say what you will about the episode in question, but Dante had a pretty cool design.
Reminder that somebody on the crew has a vore fetish, particularly involving thiccboi Val
Fun to see Rufio kicking it again.
I've eaten onions beef that was pretty good. Chicken and pork are harder to copy I'm guessing.
It got great cuties such as this snake girl.
I can only eat sɔy as tofu on miso soup and stir fries or as sɔy chorizo.
This poor idiot should token therapy for his awful mental state and obsession. I got over my obsession with anime after high school. This weeb is one delusional fuck. My parents keep telling me that we could have Japanese blood in us since my Grandfather on my mother's side looks like the guy on the 1000 yen bill. I deny it sometimes but I can see the Mongoloid features on some of my family members on my mother's side. but who knows, many Mexicans like myself can have Asian like features. Aztecs and Mayans had Mongoloid characteristics many Mestizos have this too. So I'm possibly no Jexican (Japanese+Mexican)
we had a chunk of Japanese come to the country for coffee plantation and such prior WW2 happened, the one that created the "Cacahuates Japoneses" was Japanese (Yoshigei Nakatani) He create them cos He was home sick and really wanted to eat some "mamekashi" so He tried to make do with what was around and thus they were born, there were around the country, one of them even was a decorated revolutionary soldier that fought for the country, Kingo Nonaka

Well, he is the juiciest of the pair.
I wish I could say that maybe they're building up to it, but I know that ain't fucking true.
Outta Sync you are my favorite artist.
You are working on some image of Charlene?
I miss your work.
well i can only hope that it will be funny at least, TLH makes some good fart jokes every now and again
>inb4 'WAAAAAH, IT'S A GRAVITY FALLS RIPOFF! THEY'RE JUST COPYING JOURNAL 3 SINCE GRAVITY FALLS CREATED THE ANCIENT JOURNAL TROPE!'
Yeah, but like I said I got comms I gotta finish before I get to it.
It'll be some time.
Thank you.
Cool.
You should be create an account on a page that does not censor your work as baraag pixiv or r34.
I'm sure you would have many followers.

Cringe
Not the guy you were talking to either.
this
it's always the middle of the road inoffensive shows that meet this fate
>the creator stated in an interview that he doesn't want to touch the "scary" myths
That creator fucking sucks.
That's what happens when you put "muh representation" ahead of telling a good and entertaining story.
>ywn be Charlene's sub slave
>ywn be her flesh puppet who she uses to have ghosts and spirits possess your body for her pleasure
Y
Damn. There really isn't much to talk about, is there?
Even with ten whole episodes and another one on the way.
>being this brain-dead
Was Hirsch doing white representation with GF?
>The first two episodes
I think everybody on this board agrees that it was the first three episodes that were pure Kino. I personally would also include everything up until the last 2-3 episodes of the season.
What? No.
Hirsch wanted to tell a good story first and foremost, and he did.
Diego, on the other hand, just wanted to have representation of Latin culture with some watered down mythology thrown in there, and doesn't seem interested in telling a compelling story.
That's what I was trying to say here.
The creator literally says representation was why he made the show.
variety.com
>Telling these particular stories his way is very important to Molano because it represents the Latin culture, something he says that’s been done very little in animation.
>“In animation, Latino representation has been very low,” he says. “I can count on my fingers how many Latino shows there’ve been. It’s cool to have the opportunity to make one, and to do it in a way where it shows our ancestry because of the myths. It’s just cool that I get to make the show that I wished was on TV when I was a little boy.”
>Molano extends that diversity into his creative staff. “Yeah, absolutely. Because America’s diverse, I want the show to be as diverse as possible.”
The only thing to talk about is how disappointing it is. Not terrible, just disappointing.
Victor and Valentino are barebones archetypes with nothing unique giving them real identity.
The jokes have been flat. El Colorado was funny, but only because of Kevin Michael Richardson's delivery.
The first taste we got of the supernatural/mythology was a campy prankster god going on a pedestrian pranking spree.
And it's pretty clear how superficial the "representation" is. Unless CN is going to give this show the TTG treatment, it's not going beyond one season, and no one will remember it.
Lesbian Xochi confirmed.
>it's not going beyond one season
Doubtful. CN is giving it too much advertising to not have already renewed it for a second season.
Are they using US currency? Did the show not even get that right?
Plus the crush she is practicing dance for wouldn't be hidden if it was a guy. 99.999% sure it'll be a dyke.
Doesn't Mexico use the dollar sign too?
en.wikipedia.org
>The Mexican peso (sign: $; code: MXN) is the currency of Mexico. Modern peso and dollar currencies have a common origin in the 15th–19th century Spanish dollar, most continuing to use its sign, "$".[1]
What is that going to mean for Valentino's crush on her?
I was judging from the color of the banknotes.
>What is that going to mean for Valentino's crush on her?
Valentino: Fuck yeah, I love being a cuck!
Xochi's GF: Hush, you're distracting me!
It be nice if the show goes into a lore thing but if it wants to keep it easy then that's fine. Nothing wrong with being episodic
And it exists just for representation? I mean, sure, but the execution we got isn't even that bad to me, it could be worse, they could be pandering to such a specific kind of otherkin whatever.
Charlene really is my reason for coming back but Vic and Val are not too bad, I mean they and the show is too fast and obnoxious but I've seen worse.
It's my guilty pleasure is what I'm trying to say.
>What is that going to mean for Valentino's crush on her?
He won't bother being her work-slave like Dipper was for Wendy since he knows he won't be getting any.
Seriously, Wendy is a fucking cunt for revealing that she always knew about Dipper's crush, and took advantage of his feelings to cover for her multiple times while she had fun on her own.
It all depends on ratings bub. low ratings, then no other season.
>Seriously, Wendy is a fucking cunt for revealing that she always knew about Dipper's crush, and took advantage of his feelings to cover for her multiple times while she had fun on her own.
Don't hate the player, hate the game. The moral of the story is don't be a beta orbiter.
And Infinity Train is just around the corner. There can only be one.
>took advantage of his feelings to cover for her multiple times while she had fun on her own
Did she, though?
Cartoon Network doesn't give a shit about ratings, especially in this day and age of streaming and apps.
Gross
All better now.
You can't fix what's broken.
If you guys mean the "S" then at least that's right because there is only one line, if it's two lines then yes, it is dollars.
If you mean those green papers, then yeah, that's wrong, bills are way more colorful than just boring green, and it's only one bill that is green, the $200 one to be specific.
not for long though
There was an episode of We Bare Bears that actually did it better when it comes to showing the currency as it shows 4 types of bills but i can't find a screenshot, and one could argue that in there are only $200 bills (haven't seen the episode yet) but given the context it is very probable they didn't knew anything about the colors and just assumed "all money is green".
IIRC in earlier episodes the green bills were 100's.
...
Yep, they don't know.
The "S" comes from an 8, it is inspired in a Spaniard silver coin called "peso de ocho reales"
Typical
Did it really require its own thread?
I'll admit, i didn't knew about the origin of the "S".
Thanks.
Also, your filename made me laugh fo some reason.
And to clarify, here is how the bills look because it is easier to find an image than to try to describe colors. I'm no interior designer, i have no idea what the color names are and calling the color of the $100 one "reddish-brownish-copperish" sounds wau too bad for my taste.
in case it isn't that visible the order goes: $20, $50, $100, $200, $500 and $1000.
Yes, they are different sizes.
cursed image
So like, the larger the amount the larger the size?
Also if it just takes barely any digging to find stuff like this why couldn't the creator or animators or someone get something as simple as how the money looks right?
You can't learn something you think you already know. The chicanos just assumed all money was green, and went on their way.
Correcy, and that little weird "black" space on the $20 is a little window, the $50 has one as well in the shape of a couple of butterflies.
You are talking to yet another mexican dude, that's why i know, but you are still right because you can find that stuff very easily with barely any effort with a quick google search.
That nothing compared to this

What's so bad about the designs? They're cute.
Having everything look, sound, and feel like Social Justice Universe is one hell of a fucking God-Tier MISTAKE, user.
So, S2 of Legend Quest, when??? I'd rather see a good show get talked about on here, since this one clearly ain't getting any better and likely needs to be forgotten, someday.
Fucking SJWs ruining everything they touch, especially cartoons, a medium most precious to me...
Cringe
Ugh... I HATE YOU, VICTOR. You're worse than Cailou! So much worse!!
You make me feel sorry for anyone who happens to like/tolerate Cricket (BCG) who gets shat on here just for that (myself being one of those people) - Tilly is still best character on BCG, though.
Just... fuck off, you little crybaby.
It's times like this where I wish people would listen to us. A good male - no general MC should NOT be this unlikable, annoying, or cry this much over stupid Shit. EVER.

This. Infinity Train will be a miracle
...
I'd try to do everything in my power to develop this character into something less shitty immediately (and no later) if it meant getting people to watch my show and not forget it like it is doomed to be, now.
AKA the same problem with modern comic books and why that industry is in dire straits.
I'm not hoping for a miracle - just a better thing to sit down to that V&V has been so far, besides Creek kid show (and maybe DC girls, which simply isn't that good so far, either.). Hell, I'm looking forward to more SCI over this, even if that isn't wishing for much, either, when the best character (Suzie) is someone we're supposed to hate, too (something that always seems to backfire when it's dictated, as well.).
>a miracle

Why don't you try watching other stations besides Cucktoon Network?
Ooh, you gonna CRY, Diego?

What a lame-o.
I don't know, maybe we're being too hard on the show. Sure, it's a complete failure in terms of Latino (when did "LatinX" become a thing?) representation, but I can pinpoint at least one thing in each episode that I liked, except for maybe the babysitting one.
Given time, V&V might actually get better if Molano is hearing the right criticism for it from the right places.
It's an obvious attempt at making another Gravity Falls clone. And those are always mediocre and forgettable since no one involved really wants to make it and just kind of does whatever to churn it out before they move on to their own personal projects that they actually care about.
For its flaws Gravity Falls was still a passion project and the crew at least in season 1 legitimately tried to make it into something worthwhile. None of the other clones have had half as much effort.
What other clones have there been?
Why the vitiligo?
Literally why not? Why anything, really?
>I can pinpoint at least one thing in each episode that I liked, except for maybe the babysitting one

100% this. Looking back at how different the reboot could've been, you can't deny that Gravity Falls's success had a hand in how it turned out in the end.
Just blessing this thread by letting y'all know we just got a new Xochi lewd:
>Xochi should have a worried expression on her face, yet they still kept her Cool Badass eyes
Laziness, laziness everywhere!

I'd rather take Val's ass over pedo stinky feet fetish art
For all its faults, this show does have pretty stunning backgrounds.
Who's Achi?
The little chihuahua from the pilot.

Where is that pic from?
As in, us??? Yeah, right. If Yea Forums was a place for valid criticism to someone in an industry position, a lot of Stiff, like this show for example, would be cabmncelled immediately with no rhyme or reason as to why, either.
>Ducktales 2017
>Welcome to the Wayne
Yeah... Too bad I actually like those shows AND Gravity Falls far more than this fucking sad excuse of a show.
Whoa there, user. You’re gonna make Diego cry
Obviously not us, I mean someone who will have the sense to actually review the quality of the show instead of singing its praises for being so "diverse."

The Chupacabra episode premieres this Saturday
>The Dark Room: After getting rejected by a photography club, Val tries to get a picture of the legendary chupacabra to prove himself.
Haven’t you heard, user? Any new cartoon with mystery elements or an ancient book/journal is automatically labeled a Gravity Falls clone. But in Victor and Valentino’s case, CN probably should’ve reworked the premise so it wouldn’t be so easy to compare to Gravity Falls
I wanna FUUUUCK Xochi!
My family stopped doing that around 1920, but that was also the generation after they moved from Mexico.
I grow tired of mexcian protags in my cartoons

You forgot black haired with blue eyes in your top teir.
You're making tooth gaps sound like fangs or something. I'm sure fellatio would still be fine

Those are really appealing drawings. It's a shame they're being wasted on such a shit protagonist. Hopefully, the VaV team will get better at writing a lovable asshole character, and hopefully, Diego will get better at voice acting.
I'm getting deja vu here.
Weren't a lot of these recent posts originally posted towards the beginning of the thread?
...did the mods really delete that Valentino vore pic? even screenshots from the show aren't allowed now?
So it wans't only me. Seems like the mods deleted what they needed but in the process the somehow changed the order of the posts.
I'm tired of how every latino character must have that shade of brown.
...
bet mexicans are tired of only ever seeing "televisa brown" for absolutely everything
>unironically enjoying Mabel being a cunt every second
>WTTW makes everybody have sausage noses
Atleast with Vic and Val the artstyle is somewhat redeemable/
>Valentino vore pic
Gonna need salza on that my amigo.
Are you genuinely autistic or?
Nice reaching for Charlene and Xochi there, user. Seriously, they do deserve better than this show can ever give them.
Something which we're only doing so much of a good job on, since people ignore us so damn much, too. Oops!
We'll see - but only if it's a mini-series... If it drags on too long, it'll wear out its welcome real quick. That would be much worse than what this show is doing by not taking real risks with all the potential lore surrounding it.
I never mentioned them in my post. :^)
>since people ignore us so damn much
>implying that's a bad thing
This. By "Latino" he only means Mexican.
Why is their laughing so forced? It really does just sound like they're saying "ha ha ha" half-heartedly.

She'll pop up in whichever one involves Victor the most.
With Vic, Diego (also the creator of the show) is most likely new to voice acting and doesn't know how to properly emote for an animated character.
Not sure about Val's voice actor, he might be new as well.
