Enough with that bullshit there are designated shipping episodes and the characters just act like nothing happened in between. The monster racism bullshit was the actual cancer, the series was supposed to end with battle for mewni, with a monster villain. Miss Heinous was a joke with no relation to royalty and Eclipsa a real villain.

It's going to turn out Hekapoo or Tofee is at the heart of it and he's going to be redeeemed. He's too much of a bumble to make a penultimate evil.

Rhombulus is the easily manipulated type. They probably just figured he'd do something stupid eventually and jump at the chance or subtly egged him on without outright directing him

With Reynaldo, he wasn't really thrown under the bus so much as rendered unfit for duty due to being under a curse.
