In Guardians 1, a bunch of Kree renegades committed genocide against the Nova. Why didn't Captain Marvel stop put a stop to that, since she's very determined to stop the Kree? Also why didn't she put a stop to Ronan when he was slaughtering countless families and children?

Why didn't Atlantis respond to Zod's?
Where was everyone when the Enchantress was about to ravage the entire planet?

The primary difference here being that all of these heroes live on the same tiny planet.
Superman in particular can perceive and respond to threats across continents.

Because it's a multifilm franchise designed to make a shitjiillion dollars off comic book fans, normies, and every child under the sun.

It doesn't need to be smart when it's smart enough to sucker in that much money for something that doesn't make sense when you think about it too hard. It's dumb because the effort isn't on the story, it's on the brand.

Because ultimately, the MCU developed a lot of the problems the comics do. Writer changes, retcons, not keeping a tighter hand on spinoff/sidebooks, etc.

If you want to talk about the writers, then the real reason is that the writers of CM didn't give a shit about making their story fit with established continuity.

There's always the chance they can account for it in the sequels or whatnot. But I'm out after Endgame, so I'll likely never find out.
