In Guardians 1, a bunch of Kree renegades committed genocide against the Nova. Why didn't Captain Marvel stop put a stop to that, since she's very determined to stop the Kree? Also why didn't she put a stop to Ronan when he was slaughtering countless families and children?
In Guardians 1, a bunch of Kree renegades committed genocide against the Nova...
Because deep down she still supports them. she didnt change the uniform insignia
Because she was chasing down a guy who told her to smile.
She was with the skrulls also:
She’s a Kree supremacist.
because muh innocent refuugees
>"why didn't they-"
because they hadn't retcon'd her into the universe yet you dumb fuck she literally didn't even exist as a thought in any of the script writers heads
Cus she’s is strong woman and can do whatever she wants, you manpig
also, because she obviously was inserted in the last moment
Something something, another disaster of equal importance, something something
That being said, it's both a retcon and the fact you can always just draw the fact that even if she is stupidly powerful, she's not omnipotent. One particularly long lie in on a day where she doesn't check the news, and the Xandar event is done and dusted.
We could should have gotten Adam Warlock.
Why didn't Superman respond to Sivana's threat?
Or the Flash?
Why didn't Atlantis respond to Zod's?
Where was everyone when the Enchantress was about to ravage the entire planet?
The primary difference here being that all of these heroes live on the same tiny planet.
Superman in particular can perceive and respond to threats across continents.
Superman was listening and watching from a distance the whole time. You have to let the next generation fly on their own wings. He didn't save Sivana's dad and brother because Hyper Crisis is real.
She made the Kree sign a peace treaty that is enough
Well the accident happened in the late 70s so Supes was probably child when it happened so doubt he would save them.
Why is the MCU so stupid then?
Because it's a multifilm franchise designed to make a shitjiillion dollars off comic book fans, normies, and every child under the sun.
It doesn't need to be smart when it's smart enough to sucker in that much money for something that doesn't make sense when you think about it too hard. It's dumb because the effort isn't on the story, it's on the brand.
Because ultimately, the MCU developed a lot of the problems the comics do. Writer changes, retcons, not keeping a tighter hand on spinoff/sidebooks, etc.
Considering Stan Lee was a skrull and he was hiding, she didn't do a great job...
Its impossible to have a multi-film universe and have everything fit perfectly. Also, film makers cannot resist rethinking stuff.
That’s not a creative name.
Yeah, obviously, but the question is not about the meta reason.
If you want to talk about the writers, then the real reason is that the writers of CM didn't give a shit about making their story fit with established continuity.
There's always the chance they can account for it in the sequels or whatnot. But I'm out after Endgame, so I'll likely never find out.
>but the question is not about the meta reason
Then what's its purpose? Mental masturbation? We'll never know why Captain Marvel wasn't there because the answer simply doesn't exist.
