I'm gravely disappointed that the show gave up on the "Hindu Deity" aesthetic for fusions after season 2. Malachite and Alexandrite being huge and having multiple limbs gave them an imposing, God-like presence that the later fusions lacked. Like, how sick would it have been if Blue, Yellow, and White had fused in battle to form some kind of multi-armed, cosmos-spanning being like Shiva? To complete the Hinduism comparison, said fusion could have wielded a trident like Shiva's (which would also reflect the fusion consisting of three constituents).
Alas, there's hardly any fanart of fusions as Hindu gods.

For the next season, I hope the writers won't start looking for another "out of nowhere ultimate evil the heroes must unite against"
White was pretty perfect for the role (plus then the ending could have been paced better and fleshed out White in the next season with the whole redemption and all), but now if they really do go with a new bigger villain, I think it’ll start to feel like everything else was just meaningless. ending up as level scaling.
I think for at least the next season’s first half it will be an interesting world after the “bad” diamond rule. Like seeing the diamonds interacting with the HW gems, but for the second half… who knows

If there was ever a time for things to go back to square one it's now imo. The plot basically built from the middle of season 4 and barely stopped until the end of 5 and that's a long time in terms of a kids show. We know we're getting an episode about Amethyst's origins so maybe it'll be stuff of that caliber for a while.
