How could dc even compete after this?, i dont see them making a huge event like this in the future and generating this much hype among normies, they will even think that darkseid is be a thanos ripoff, how did they drop the ball this hard?
How could dc even compete after this?...
The MCU is fucked after this movie, user.
That's how they win.
DC is still going strong but lacking.
They didn't try to do something with "lolz everyone is now together from the past 11 years, isn't this epic oh shit wait nothing comes after"
It's literally endgame - MCU is done unfortnunately
I don't see how the District of Columbia has to compete with the greatest cinematic event in history
Didn't the first thread get deleted?
They can’t, meh, not like it matters, it’s kinda sad, but I like the shows they put out, they should just stick with that
Oh you're serious
Okay. I'll entertain this argument of you pointing.
What's after Endgame?
The first billion dollar spiderman movie, then the massively successful Black Widow movie, then Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, all of which will make a billion, then the insanely successful Eternals movie which will at the very least make more than the shitty New Gods movie that will hopefully never happen
the mcu is going cosmic now, they have barely touch the tip of the iceberg with endgame
Hmm so outside of...
Yeah maybe black panther might do it again if they shill the "watch it or you're racist" card enough again
But the rest of the movies are shit and that's the problem here - none of them interact with one another.
You might as well have fucking Ant-Man again and say it'll do amazin
That's why it's fucked.
Nobody cares about cosmic - Thor 3 is considered the worse one. GotG is getting worse numbers each movie.
Ultimately it's over. I mean comicfags will watch the latest Mantis fapbait movie, sure. But it's done for the normies
Oh no, another retard wandered off the farm again.
Here you go little guy run along back home now
Dude, Thor 3 is considered the best,
>Thor 3 is considered the worse one
By whom? Whenever I hear of it, it's generally well liked and considered better than 1 or 2
>Thor 3 is considered the worse one.
lmfao what the hell
They'll never be on the same level, but it would be nice for them to try and match the raised bar without either sperging out on grimdarkness or constantly make useless hyper-retro appeals.
>Thor 3 is considered the worse one.
Kek. Get a load of this faggot.
>GotG is getting worse numbers each movie.
Yeah next one might not even make less than a billion at the rate they're going
>By whom?
People to stupid to know the difference between worse and worst apparently
By anyone that reads comics...
Oh are we under the impression that it was based on an accurate storyline?
Whelp, I'm out - I don't like talking about comics to people who don't read comics
I'm sure MCU will be continue on proudly with the Mantis fapbait movies
I was thinking the general public, honestly while I liked Thor Ragnarok, didn’t feel like a Thor movie, ya know? Almost nothing MCU Thor has
>muh comics
movies are a different medium than comics user, whats the point of making carbon copies of comic storylines when you can make new storylines within your stablisehd universe
>"Yeah the champ may have beaten me every time we fought but once he retires to his giant hill of money and success then I'll get the last laugh!"
>GOTG
>each movie
I'm pretty sure there have only been two...
Now, if you wanna see a series that is really doing poorly, you should see Corky Romano. That movie did so poorly, they haven't even made a second movie!
Yeah well I don't see Marvel's failing streaming service anywhere so I guess DC wins
>The MCU is fucked after this movie
Yeah because of two words Time Travel
> Marvel's failing streaming
its not even marvel but disney as a whole, that alone gets all the normies in, while dc streaming service might not even last the year
>Blacks, that occupy 14% of the population, and often top the poorest income charts, helped to make Black Panther a billion dollar success
I think you're giving way too much credit to the whole, "ur a bigot" advertising tactic. It sure as fuck didn't work to make Ghostbusters 2016 a billion-dollar hit.
>The most successful and critically acclaimed Thor movie
>B-B-B-BUT IT'S NOT ACCURATE TO THE COMICS AND COMIC READERS DEEM IT THE WORSE
There's a reason why the comic industry is dying in the States, basement dweller.
>stay their current course, making movies that don't take place in the DCEU canon like the Joker. Be willing to use these to really experiment.
>sprinkle in some movies that do take place in the DCEU without forcing in connections early, like they should have done in the first place
>try introducing characters lesser known to the general public
>begin connecting DCEU characters to each other's stories
>build up to a multiverse event in which they can bring in characters from the movies not canon to the DCEU and even involve multiple versions of the same character
Pffft. That's nothing compared to Genndy Tartakovsky's Popeye series, that one had so many bad numbers, they didn't even make a first one!
>It's literally endgame - MCU is done unfortnunately
You have to be absolutely delusional to think they'll stop making big bucks just because this saga is ending. Only reason there hasn't been much hype regarding the next stuff is simply because they've been pretty cagey regarding the upcoming movies, so there's subjectively very little to look forward to unless you follow every scoop, and still, there's still plenty they haven't revealed yet.
Is this post in opposite day?
Don’t insult Corky Romano like that ever again faggot
>0,50 cents have been transfered to your Mouse account
This. DC should just try and go on a steady pace
Marvel is Tony Stark, used B tier characters and pulled this entire thing off in a cave with a box of scraps. DC is Obadiah Stane, had their A tier characters but couldn't replicate what Marvel did and failed
Joker will be a massive success thanks to normies
DC/WB thought they could ride the dick of Batman and Superman forever, that no other cape-franchise, apart from maybe Spiderman, would seriously challenge or surpass them in audience numbers. Then Avengers happened.
This. It already happened in the comics, in 1987. Jim Shooter was sacked and Marvel went to hell; DC meanwhile began to publish so many masterworks.
>They didn't try to do something with "lolz everyone is now together from the past 11 years, isn't this epic"
They literally tried that with JL, only instead of bringing together characters audiences had come to know through multiple solo installments, they rushed it and threw in Wonder-woman, Flash, Aqua-man and Cyborg before bothering to showcase them in their own movies, and they somehow thought that would make them Avenger numbers.
When you think about it the very concept of competition is kinda silly. It's not like people's likelihood of watching one film is impacted by the success or quality of another studio's films. Theoretically both could be equally successful and any disparity between the franchises is the fault of the franchise itself and not the success of the other.
Are you fucking stupid? DC was doing so bad they actually tried to sell them TO Marvel
At this point it's clear DC can't compete when it comes to blockbusters.
They should just stick to cheap as fuck youtube original quality movies that might break even at $100 million. Or else just stop making movies for the next decade
These movies benefit from each other doing well. Normal audiences don't care about company wars, they just want to watch movies they enjoy. One big studio churning out disappointment after disappointment leads to audiences becoming suspicious of capemovies as a whole.
After BvS, I had several friends who were adamant about paying money to watch other unrelated cape movies.
Aquaman did make a billion. And suicide squad, while a piece of shit movie, made big profit and was very popular with a specific teenage crowd. Wonder Woman did very well too.
The big praises and guaranteed billion box office every other movie isn't there, but it's not as if they're not making good money on their capeshit. Only JL could be considered an actual financial flop.. an incredibly embarrassing one, but still.
>it's not as if they're not making good money on their capeshit
Ouch. Shame. It was one of their better installments.
