I've also noticed it for commercials where they try to sell something that looks comfortable like beds and family relaxing on the floor. There's likely various reasons why it's used outside of sexual reasons but I think the key is to include it and not make it obvious so that footfags will latch onto it but it won't turn away those without the fetish.

HD Simpsons in general looks boring as shit, like they have a bunch of templates that they composit together in whatever flash abomination they use to make the show now. There are no interesting angles or lighting or detail or really anything.

People find characters attractive not just because of what they literally look like, but also because of their character and the context in which they appear. If this is alien to you you're probably not human.
