Genndy and Craig CN shows have this weird habit of having mean-spirited and bitter moments and endings come completely out of nowhere.
If things like pic related happened on, say, Billy and Mandy, they'd be riots because that show is already plenty cynical. But in Dexter, PPG and Foster's, they just come across as sour and mean-spirted because they're completely at odds with the genial, lighthearted natures of those shows.
Yeah, you can tell it's mean-spirited the most from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, with them constantly yelling at eachother, and how there's apparently no laws around abusing imaginary friends (seriously in the episode "Beat it with a Schick" they let the owner of a Foster Home allow their home to use violence and fighting to solve the issue just because the guy getting beat up is a jerk, and that's just not right)
I like the fact they beat the clown up een though it was clearly obvious he had been corrupted by a third party substance that was against his will forced upon him through a complete accident he played no part in causing..
Nolan Wright
I'm fine with it if the characters are established assholes like Bloo who do shit like this but with characters who are portrayed as just it just comes off as jarring

You know how I can tell you're spamming this image? Because you're a retard who doesn't know how to change file names
Jason Miller
That seems to be an all-American thing, be it cartoon or real life: youtu.be/rrqtRoo3UtY
Rainbow was supposed to get a happy ending, but execs demanded a more typical PPG ending.
Benjamin Ortiz
Apparently According to Craig the girls weren't supposed to beat up the clown at the end. Executive Meddling by CN higher ups caused that ending
Levi Hill
I'm the one who titled it that so I have no idea what your walking about

This has nothing to do with tumblr, left or politics. The "mean-spirited" criticism was popularized by Mr Enter's autistic ass, in a completely apolitical context of him being weirdly upset at characters being mean to each other in cartoons. But of course, you're too cool to actually know what you're talking about, it's easier to assume everyone who disagrees with you is your ideological enemy and make everything about politics. And later you cucks will insist that /pol/ is not invading Yea Forums.

WHY?!

It's called dark humor, kiddos.
This guy gets it; the audience laughs because they understand it's ironic & wrong, not because they think it's right.
Yea Forums loves Mr.Enter’s dick. I bet you faggots think all shows should be just like Steven Universe
Jeremiah Hughes
>It's called dark humor, kiddos. Dark humor is amazing, i love rape and murder jokes, but this was just bad fucking writing. Rainbow The Clown was originally not going to be beaten up and jailed because that isn't fair because he wasn't in control of his actions. They only added that bullshit ending in a later version of pre-production because they felt like every episode needed them to do that. Power of love makes the world go round? Yeah right you stupid ass amputee bitches. Basically what and said
Fuck, now I gotta go beat off to some Powerpuff Girls getting raped just to see them suffer becaose they deserve it. eye.swfchan.com/flash.asp?id=95764&n=ppg_rape.swf It's from 2001 and is the only hand-drawn cel porn we're ever going to get that looks exactly like the show that it's rule34'ing

Zone-tan will never be yours Pan.
Jonathan Williams
Yeah, it's really fucking weird. And annoying too.
Adam Allen
Eh, between these three things, the only one that bothered me was Rainbow the Clown getting his shit stomped for no reason.
Mojo intentionally antagonized the girls that consistently kick his ass on a frequent basis just to upset them and the dog thing was pretty short.
Henry Hill
Bloo wasn't an asshole in the pilot movie, though.
