The actual tipping point of the Simpsons was post-movie, not The Principal and the Pauper.

Steven Universe is one of the best cartoons of the decade, showing more sincerity than any show I’ve ever seen.

The Principal and the Pauper despite being universally hated upon by the fanbase still has a ton of great jokes like the gag as to why Homer is driving what feels like 6 different people in his car but only 3 of them realistically need to go and see Skinner the rest just wanna come along for the ride.

Holly Blue Agate, Yellow Diamond, White Diamond, and Malachite are the best characters in Steven Universe.

Despite Yea Forumss rage against new Netflix programming, I like them because they're the only shows that entertain me with new concepts. I value new concepts in shows, movies, and video games.

I'm quite torn between being deeply unhappy that the "west" produces less shows with giant robots because I really love giant robots, and being happy about it because I know that were it to be done in this day and age, much of the product I'd probably dislike.

My favorite of Netflix's line up are Voltron Legendary Defender (Up until Season 2 and with some good episodes wedged in between the mountains of shit like when Lotor, Keith and Shiro went to the sacrificial planet of the Galra to crown the new Blood Emperor and Pidge's solo episode where she had a psychotic breakdown on the graveyard planet)

F is for Family because it reminds me a lot of King of the Hill and I fucking loved King of the Hill

Carmen San Diego because its easily the best action show on Netflix right now.

Arguably the worst thing I am not the biggest fan of in relation to Young Justice is just how omnipresent the Light has become in a little under 2 seasons

Like sure Season 1 and Season 2 both ended with The Young Justice League out keikakuing The Light up until the point where Vandal Savage actually lost his composure and old members of The Light (like Ra) are just out seeking better investments then what the Light is unable to provide right now

Speaking of YJ, I'm honestly baffled when people complain about the show having too many characters in it. I feel they've been doing a good job at keeping track of the six (or five) main characters in the series, especially in season 3. Aqualad's been left out this season, but he already had a good chunk of the plot last season, and judging from the previous, he's getting a meaty role in the season half.

I also don't get all the anger at all the new characters, even the cameos. I swear I saw people throwing a fit over the Batwoman cameo because she wasn't going to be a main character. It's ridiculous.

I've been watching s1 of Total Drama Island and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Who the fuck is it written for, for one thing? It's too violent, weird, and nasty minded for kids, but it's also too fucking stupid for adults.

Simple, teenagers. Reaching for the teenager demographic can make a show explode with popularity, as long as you got something that can make them fall into high interest. For example, High School Musical. The second movie alone was Disney Channel's highest rated program in the channel's entire existence and it has to do with teenagers singing.

When I watch cartoons on regular TV, I have the weird habit of muting the TV, because I don't want my peers to know that I watch cartoons and make fun of me. if I see someone coming by I just change the channel, this lead me to appreciate cartoons that have good artstyle and animation and can tell well the narrative with visuals.

The artwork, animation and music are good, but a little TOO good. Plus the pacing is pretty weird; the movie can't decide if it wants to be a realistic domestic drama or a Tom & Jerry cartoon.

I think anyone who complains about sjws should rethink their priorities when it comes to media. Books and music developed prior to the advent of industrialism, and movies get a free pass because they evolved out of theater. But when comics as we know them first emerged, the world was already highly commercial, so comics as a medium developed around selling as many copies as possible and pandering to the lowest common denominator, not making art.

Even when we try to make art in the medium, we're so rooted in these commercial techniques and methods that it always comes out as just really moody versions of the wonderbread that is comics

Ben 10 sucked after the original run. The artstyle is also considerably worse and it has only degraded since.

KND was mediocre apart from a few episodes.

MCU is in a bad place right now. They have shown no regard for the comics and chose instead of discard vital parts of a character's origin and lore just for interconnectedness. Their use of quips have only gotten worse since Ultron and is extremely unnatural.

Current DC and Marvel comics suck. DC is only better just for having a direction. They're just regurgitating old comics with new writers.

Penn Zero:PTH is still the most underrated Disney cartoon ever made and it should have lasted longer than 35 episodes. Much fucking longer. I'm so tired of cartoons that are actuslly fun getting canned for R34 fodder and shipping BS, like Star Vs is and always has been.

DCSHG2019 is pretty dang boring/a chore to sit through so far and it feels like it only exists to appeal to the Horse show crowd, instead of real capeshit fana like YJ/JLA/anything before these 2 shows actually can.

Anything LPS (2012) in general only gets hated on everywhere simple because of horse show fans being bigots, as well as toy enthusiasts for LPS in general being retaeded crybabies with their "bring back the old toys" whining.

It really sucks that such a great and truly criminally underrated show only lasted 4 seasons because of all this BS; simply because unlike horse show, I actually enjoyed having the show around, especially for Blythe, Youngmee, Aunt Christie, Twombly, and the pets, the Biskits were insufferable valleygirl stereotypes, but I can't argue they had potential to be GOOD characters - the writing for them just wasn't there like it should have been, though. It's a shame I have to turn to fan fiction to see some of that improved writing of suck cookie-cutter characters, too.

Bob's Burgers is the BEST animated sitcom of the 2010s for me, with Dan Vs being in a close second (only because it didn't last as long, sadly.).

Big City Greens is just as enjoyable as Craig of the Creek for me. Both are far more endearing to me than what Yea Forums obsesses over with CN (SU) and Disney (SVTFoE), to be honest.
