Detentionaire is overrated as fuck. It's "good" only for a Canadian cartoon (Fred's Head is still way better though), compared to pretty much anything halfway decent from other countries it's literally shit-tier.

I think it's to identify where a show's from and ToonBoom originates from Canada (so yes, we can be blamed for the low quality of Modern Simpsons for example). But if not, than people are just idiots.

Or you could blame it on the overpayed voice actors, adult animation's standards being lowered thanks to Family Guy, and a general consensus that "stiff and unmoving= more realistic" that these cartoons are trying to perpetuate.
Flash and ToonBoom are tools. Studios and employees use them in lazy ways. Hand-drawn animation can also be really shitty if done in lazy and uncaring ways.

The voice actors' salaries take about 60% of the show's budget. They had to drop the music, cheapen the animation, cut the show's run time to 20 minutes.

Irony is that you can go to any beach and see people dressed a lot less modestly, yet you can't show it on TV.

Lets not forget one of the most known canadian cartoons. This franchise gave us so many waifus it's crazy. Aside from some bad arcs and some characters that boil my blood, this show is still enjoyable for the most part. Dawn is my favorite, but from 1st generation I'd have to pick Gwen or Heather. Eva and Lindsay are good for porn too, those huge tits are my weakness.

TV networks have some odd beliefs, for example you can't show people smoking because it would corrupt kids' morals even though their parents could smoke and they see it on a daily basis.
