So now that DC Universe has an abundance of comics. What does Yea Forums recommend? So far on my reading list I got first 26 issues of superman/batman. Gotham Central. The Grant Morrison issues of JLA. All Star Superman And some issues of Batman Confidential (no particular reason just caught my eye). What runs should I check out?

Jonah Hex!

All 70 issues or there a good cut off point?

The whole thing is a masterpiece. Most issues are one-offs, with a couple story arcs.

Done and done thanks dude. Any other things you enjoyed?

Greg Rucka's Wonder Woman
Oh & the Batman/TMNT, DC meets Looney Toons & Paul Dini's Zatanna are fun reads

Manapul's Flash run, it's like the first 26 or so issues of new 52 Flash. If you'd like Wally Flash, start at Waid's.

Westerns are so underrated.

Yeah I need to check out doom patrol and animal man. Read most of those but thanks user! Got some good taste. need to add morrisons batman while I'm thinking about it.

Whats 52 exactly? I see it mentioned here and there.
Nice, I'll be sure to add
Read few of these nice taste user!

All the big superheroes leave so the story revolves around lesser known ones.

>Manapul's flash
Why do people like this? I see it brought up but all it is is a boring story with decent art.

Interesting, anything I gotta read before hand? Or can I jump right in?

>Whats 52 exactly?
It was the weekly follow up to Infinite Crisis. Honestly if you want a really good read through of the general DC Universe you can't go wrong with reading most of the big events along with JLA.

>Whats 52 exactly? I see it mentioned here and there.

A weekly comic done by Rucka/Waid/Morrison/Johns where Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman are out of the picture and is about second stringers like Elongated Man (post-Identity Crisis), Black Adam, Booster Gold, Steel the Question and Renee Montoya and Starfire/Animal Man/Adam Strange/Lobo.

Because its kino art

Doesn't make up for the bad writing.

First of all I'm & thank you.
The New 52 is an era of books released in that time, other eras are DC Rebirth & DCYou its how people know when books come out & what DC was going for at that time. Most books will say in big words on the cover whqt era they came out in

That they are

Nevermind I thought you meant the New 52 it can be confusing for anyone , that number shows up alot.

Sandman and then Lucifer. They're on there, right?

We should really make updated rec images one of these days.

Thanks user!

Thanks everyone! I think I got more then enough to go on here. But feel free to keep those recommendations coming!

I have some of Marvels westerns like the 2000 Rawhide Kid & Big Thunder Mountian on my back log has anyone on Yea Forums read those?

>no Kyle
>no Guy
>no John
Why not just call this recommended Hal Jordan

I'll admit it's a bit jarring with all the time hopping and flashbacks but I'll take it over Venditti any day of the week. Now THAT is hot trash.

The Kyle one was posted already John is a garbage character nobody cares about. Guy's would mostly just be JLI and Warrior. Nobody ever made an image for it.

It is. It was made for those specifically interested in Hal Jordan

>grant morrison doom patrol
>grant morrison jla (particularly rock of ages)
>tom king mister miracle but only if you like watchmen/alan moore
>dark knight returns
>dc rebirth aquaman
>batman: death of the family and court of owls by scott snyder
>new 52 captain atom
>jack kirby new gods trade paperback

Attached: boomer looking at boomer.jpg (994x612, 60K)

alright lads i like the justice league. is the correct order this?
>darkseid war 1 and 2
>dc rebirth by geoff johns
>dc rebirth JL by brian hitch
>scott snyder JL

To not read any of them and find something good instead.

Piggy backing off this thread, what's worth reading from before Crisis on Infinite Earths? I've been trying to read the original Justice League run and it's pretty fucking stupid. Snapper Carr is the dumbest shit I've ever read. Original Flash is also really cheesy but at least Green Lantern has been decent.

Don't even bother. They are all pretty bad The post-Forever Evil parts of Johns Justice League has some good bits like Luthor as a member and introducing Jessica Cruz, but there is also a lot of crap like Grail. Don't bother with Hitch or Snyder.

Anything Batman and Green Lantern/Green Arrow related by Denny O'Neil.
Anything Hawkman related done by Joe Kubert (which is not much)
Anything Batman related by Engelhart.

Also Wolfman and Perez Titans and Levitz's LoSH.

This, the art is the only good part
The only Barry story worth reading is Waid's The Brave and The Bold mini

Attached: 1487340814082.jpg (1988x3056, 1.67M)

Real Morrison's JLA and Giffen/Dematteis JLI.

Legends of the Dark Knight

The problem with reading JLI is there a few missing issues and most of JLE is missing.

>recommended Hal
>no Parallax at all
Did Geoff Johns make this?

I loved Formerly Known As The Justice League

Is that the one with GL?

Yes
