Thor's supposed to be a god in the Marvel Universe. Arguments about "what a god IS" aside, that's a basic fact. But what kind of powers or feats would you give Thor to emphasize why he is considered a god? In canon, he's basically presented as a flying brick, with the occasional bit of weather manipulation courtesy of Mjolnir - I'm simplifying, this is an OP. How would you vary up his powers to make him seem more divine?
Also, post awesome feats from Thor, if you're aware of any. Stuff that lets him show off just how powerful he is.
Make him use more magic instead of just hitting shit. And stop him jobbing constantly.
Andrew Flores
Make him refuse to use magic at all beyond his own godly power, and give him an ingrained disrespect for Dr. Strange for being unmasculine by practicing magic to such a degree.
Hunter Campbell
I think he fried Exitar’s brain once, in Alone Against The Celestials
Michael Morris
Absolutely based
Jackson Nelson
I thought Marvelfags hated "ungrounded" characters.
Jose Perry
I feel like you have some deeply rooted trauma user.
Zachary Hernandez
No way, they love Dr Doom who becomes omnipotent every yeat. They unironically think it's the apex of writing.
Bentley Ward
Make him strategize a bit more (Ragnarok did this part well), make him less vain. Make him have more of a moral code, maybe sometimes show how it's dated.
Levi Clark
I really liked the way he used an illusion spell to aid his team in... what was the arc with Thor on a kind of "Avengers of the Nine Realms" team? It had a bit where Malekith turns Thor's liver into broken glass and Thor just spits blood & glass shards in the sorcerer's face and says he doesn't need a liver to kill him.
Wyatt Jones
Who said that? That guy sounds retarded.
Nolan Moore
This is a thread by a dumb powerlevel faggot for dumb powerlevel faggots.
Jason Smith
Shut up, Tommy. You're an ignorant retard.
Eli Allen
>let him use his earthbending powers from Gaia like JMS did >have him be able to use Mjolnir for magic other than just flight and lightning like Simonson and Kirby >just get Paul Jenkins back
He's second only to the Hulk in strength on the hero's side. What more do you want from him?
Christian Garcia
Niggas are stupid. God is a measure of influence not strength
Isaac Cox
Was that the name of the comic, or just the story, user? I really want to gather more of Thor at his absolute most badass/godly, to wash the taste of his treatment in the modern era from my mouth.
>How would you vary up his powers to make him seem more divine? As shitty as Aaron has been, I really liked how he had Thor able to hear people's prayers, and how Thor would go around responding and helping when he wasn't doing superhero stuff.
So, instead of expanding on his physical powers, expand on abilities defined by his relationship with his followers or just people praying for help would give him a more divine flavour. For example, in addition to hearing prayers, he can bestow actual blessings on people.
I don't have it saved but basically Thor saying a story about a boy asking his uncle how a magic trick is done. Finally when he learns how it's done the magic is gone for the boy. Then this page
I'd have be able to punch intangible ghosts with his god essence.
The coolest thing Aaron has had him do is hear prayers so I'd prob do that too
Aiden Adams
God I wish they made an animated Thor movie that really shows off his godliness, have some Classic Thor stuff going on, MCU Thor’s Alright, But he’s not THOR, you know?
Asher Ross
Yeah. Really wish we could get some real love for Thor; he deserves better than just being considered "the boring MCU Avenger".
Carson Rivera
Nobody thinks that after Thor 3: Ragnarok. Everyone likes Hemsworth now.
Caleb Butler
He can change to Lady Thor so his comic book doesn't perpetually suck ass.
Jace Cook
As strong as 14 MCU Captain Americas, 5 Iron Mans or 88% of one Angry Hulk Thor has shown the ability to fight Hulk and not perish from direct his, his muscles have actually been compared to living metal by psychics familiar with Celestials (little g). Thor has been cooked by a rekindled dying star and only made stronger. He can have his face pressed by a power stone that can kill a planet and only been temporarily hurt. He exhibits higher than human intelligence but doesn't think sort of like Bart Simpson and has a reputation not online other famous "young" God's as being impetuous and head strong. His moods effect weather his body can act as it's own storefront and internally he can experience the kind of conflict of dynamic forces that create lightning bolts in the sky things that themselves reach temperatures akin to the surface of the sun. Thor has a magic martial mastery of all swinging weapons especially hammers. The kind of science that causes centrifuges to appear to be levitating flows through Thor himself and his own musculature and strength can funnel and direct all of the forces he wields from kinetic to electric and beyond. More?
Juan Diaz
>His moods affect the weather. Has anyone got any sources of this happening in canon?
Gabriel Miller
Got the rest of this, user?
Eli Allen
he's not a god, that's just Stan's fanfic that was made canon for a while but not any longer
Thor kills the Marvel Universe when? It's about time they did it.
Hudson Campbell
I remember one comic where it was said he did do that when he first came to Earth, but wiped everyone’s memories. I think he sent Johnny Storm to land of Frost Giants.
Joshua Martinez
Thor in Infinity War was the first time MCU Thor really felt like THOR to me.
