Kinda curious to see the chinese parts of the Aero comics. Although I have been disappointed by most chinese comics I've read: pretty art and flashy colors, but terrible stories and characters. I hope it's not the case here.
Cause 16 pages of Busiek and Ross is the equivalent of two issues of decompressed storytelling

The Carol story in July that I am interested the most is the team up issue with Kamala, not only because it's another space adventure with Kamala but also because Mar-Vell is being dragged into it.
Although you think a suppose Mar-Vell ressurection would warrant more than just Kamala and Carol looking into it (pretty sure Eros and Elysius would be checking it out, even the Phyla from another dimension).

Most of the complains about clothing doesn't have to do with feminism though. It's just one artist trying to get their take on a character and then the next one does something else.
People imprint on one idea of a character and act like that's the only one when there can be hundreds for any character. Usually the "sexy" one isn't even the first but you fucks act like they were always sluts and that wasn't just Jim Lee etc drawing with one hand down their pants.
If anything giving characters costumes that fits the character is a course correction from that period where they all looked the same. And yes that means some characters are sluts and should look like that like Black Cat and Emma Frost.

So it seems your argument has shifted from "SJWs are changing how comics have always been!" to "there was a brief period in the late 90s and early 2000s where comics had tons of cheesecake and I want it back." You're being ahistorical.

You're both right, most Big 2 heroines that had a "sexy" costume didn't start out like that, it was usually an artist-driven revamp, but most Marvel artists seem to have stopped giving heroines sexy costumes or big breasts, even if they've been canonically big for decades. It's been widespread at Marvel for years now, and you can compare the same artist's work before and after. It's hard to argue that there isn't an editorial edict dictating how women can be depicted, but nobody in the industry talks about it because they don't want to be blacklisted. Star artists who only do covers seem to be only ones allowed to ignore it and do what they want.
It may still be a far away from how she was drawn in the 1990s and 2000s, but recent books featuring Black Cat do at least show some steps being taken to change things.

When Phase 4 of the MCU selects a new character to build up as the big villain after Thanos, Marvel might finally stop giving him so many books. Hope you're ready for Galactus or the Beyonder to start getting this treatment instead.

I think it is weird that so many people just continue to lie about the obvious fact that comics have been censored for a long time now and that there is a huge double standard on how men are portrayed compared to women now in comics >It may still be a far away from how she was drawn in the 1990s and 2000s, but recent books featuring Black Cat do at least show some steps being taken to change things. you are being way to optimistic. I think only people massively stop buying comics would change anything

>By right of combat, I am now your broodmare
Colton Barnes
I'm really interested in this, like others have said, Waid is really good with continuity so this is a good book for him to go nuts with it. I would like Ewing to participate also, but here's also me wanting him to do something meatier aside from Immortal Hulk and well, Valkyrie (which is partly Aaron). Man, you guys really gobble up all sorts of gossip, huh? Fearless looks pretty interesting BTW. I'm into this. Just keep Cates away from him, though. >muh sjws Jesus fuck what a retard. Nothing wrong with manga-lite if that's what Cebulski wants.
David James
Carol v JJJ! Just like old times! Based KT.

i kind of dig that guy's design

I think its been very mediocre so far with the exception of The Hunt arc that's currently going, which is shaping up to be a really fun Kraven story.

I am ready for an awkward family dinner where Sam's mom keeps bringing up the whole hostage thing.
Lincoln Lee
What? Waid's Doctor Strange is among the best stuff so far being released on Marvel, and it's a huge step forward from Cates, Hopeless and Aaron. He actually understands the character. I'm into it, lads. What are the rumors of the run ending at #24, though? The solicits for Volume 5 sound sort of ominously final.
>Immortal Hulk Vol. 5 Paperback – December 3, 2019
>It's the final showdown - Bruce Banner versus General Fortean, a man willing to do whatever it takes to destroy the Immortal Hulk once and for all, even if it means turning himself into what he hates the most. As Shadow Base declares war on anyone with a gamma mutation, Banner has to decide what kind of Hulk he wants to be - and what kind of monster he has to become.
>COLLECTING: IMMORTAL HULK 21-24, TBD Maybe I'm reading too much into it?
You're all wrong about this being a better ship than Sam/Kamala, but I DO want to see if they end up fucking.
Lucas Perry
It isn't a gimmick, its the entire selling point of the series. It will be interesting to see these characters actually age and change instead of remaining so stagnant like they usually do.
I find this an odd complaint and it keeps popping up anytime this series is discussed. Obviously the story isn't going to play out like 616, the entire point is that we get to see how everything might happen if the characters actually aged in real time. Its strange to me that people are so put off by the idea of these characters growing old.
Elijah Garcia
>hostage thing especially when that hostage thing involves BDSM
Matthew Lopez
Doctor Strange is the only magic user on the hero side that people know. I remember when Brother Voodoo became Sorcerer Supreme and they still referred to Doctor Strange. Marvel Magic desperately needs to be built up and expanded with an event or two.
Christian Adams
I think the run will keep going but the Devil Hulk arc might be ending.
Oliver Williams
2 minis? This better not be a fuckin' best of/remix
Jose Price
Ewing's confirmed to have written 4 acts (for now), and the second one started just a couple issues ago.
If everything goes according to plan, then it should probably end around #50.
Cooper Price
>there is a huge double standard on how men are portrayed compared to women now in comics
That's not just comics, that's movies and television as well. The feminists and gays didn't actually want "equality", they wanted to be in charge, and this is what happens. They get all the beefcake they want, while the idea that somewhere a straight man could enjoy cheesecake, even drawn, fictional cheesecake, is offensive and must not be allowed. Western society is going through a weird phase of demonizing and repressing male heterosexual expression of attraction to women, this is going to be very unhealthy for everyone. As annoying as you may find it to see Black Cat or Emma Frost fully covered and with b-cups, in perspective is a minor aspect of a much bigger problem.
Ryan Morgan
Seconding on Strange, it has been top tier so far. >IH ending It is doing good sales-wise but it wouldn't surprise me if Ewing wanted to move on once he is done with the stories he wants to tell, he seems busy in a lot of other books for this month's solicts alone.
Dylan Barnes
Interesting, yeah. He already introduced Joe Fixit, it's likely he'll cycle through other Hulks while the Devil Hulk is pushed to the back for a while. I just know Ewing prefers articulate and even smart Hulk, he doesn't dig dumb and brute. >then it should probably end around #50. Thank god. This is the sort of series that deserves a long run.
Oliver Perry
>Aphra still going with a new story arc starting
She's the only comic I follow that's actually managed to break 30 issues. Marvel just keeps resetting everything over and over again.
Logan Morris
I want this so fucking bad. Who else here into New Universe and Squadron Supreme? This looks awesome.
Elijah Sullivan
Why does every user who starts a solicit thread always cop out halfway or only do it half-assed? We used to be thorough with this shit
Uncanny sounds like it’s ending too, probably going to be relaunched by Hickman when his miniseries end. Wonder if he will do Uncanny X-Men and Uncanny X-Force?
Asher Anderson
Let Mar-Vell rest dammit.

Don't be surprised if the man behind the mask... is a woman!
I wonder why Thanos never used the Black Order before...

The fact that any book reaches 25 issues these days is nothing short of a miracle. Even Spider-Man is getting hurt by the industry slowly crumbling.
Ryan Young

Hudson Torres
>With her Ancient Future powers gone
Kek so she doesn't have her awesome powers anymore? fuck... the... synergy!
Elijah Sanders
Friendly reminder Cebulski said there were plans for Gwenpool down the road that had nothing to do with West Coast Avengers (cancelled by now). No idea what has happened since then, maybe I'll ask. I hate everything about this. Also pretty tasteless when Bill Mantlo's family has to fucking ask for help through gofundme to pay for medical bills. Cates as usual going for the trite shock. Love this, though. Seconding Clea staying on Earth to help Strange. This is Cates telling the story of Silver Surfer as the future Fallen One in his shitty edgy continuity. Huge Yawn. And this... Looks great. Eve Ewing has been doing a good job here.
Jack Gomez
Yes they did, that's Carol's entire throughline from 2005-2015. Try reading comics, casual.
>Reminder Byrne wanted to give her a weird fucking series in the 80s, glad his idea never took off it's nuts well what was it?

maybe they should try pandering to the people who actually buy comics again?

Oh fuck you Aaron fuck you you huge pile of talentless trash. I saw this thread before I just minutes ago read War of the Realms #2 and reading throughout my reading of that how he going to kill Valkyrie off. She's engaging Malekith yeah this is going to be it...oh wait hang Dr Strange's spell was successful crisis averted. Lots blather and cringey dialog at Avengers Mountain and then of course back to New York and there we have it Brunhilde dead paving the way for MCU Tessa Thompson how predictable. Jason Aaron you are huge pile of steaming shit constantly living down to expectations.
Alexander Evans
I soooooo don't trust Slott with writing the Devil Hulk
Aiden Morris
Slott's a better writer than Spencer
Mason Rivera
I feel bad for Eve Ewing her Ironheart comic is pretty great but has trash sales, it's selling worse than WCA did and that got canned at 10.
Asher Murphy
I'm not sold on the new mask, but the rest of the costume reminds me of the Mystic Marvel costume, so I'm giving it a chance until we get a better image of it.
Hudson White
Yeah but it's not like Ironheart is some A-lister, I'm sure they expected low sales and budgeted it accordingly. I doubt it's gonna end anytime soon, while West Coast Avengers had some expensive artists in it and they definitely expected more sales.
Brody Martinez
Captcha and waiting a full minute takes forever to do solicits. A full Marvel solicitation thread (with trades and star wars) can take well over two hours of perfect posting
Aaron Morales
she wanted to be called spider woman, people call her spider gwen since she was unmasked, she's probably going to embrace the spider-ghost codename
Jack Phillips
how can you ask him? and Bill's medical bills are paid for, the gofundme is for his brother

>brutal three-way sold. Sir can we get some comfortable chairs? that costume is horrible stay in space, stay away from Storm ya black bastard also I guess BP went to space and came back before all War of the Realms and X-Men Disassembled. shit I thought that was Thing's ankle at first. the original MCP was Ghost Rider and Wolverine's shared 2nd book so I don't see Logan going anywhere. great cover, I want that banner as a t-shirt Pixie, hell yeah

Levi Nguyen
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS. Jane you piece of shit name thief
Owen Scott
I know jack shit about War of the Realms because a fucking elf doesn't deserve to be a Marvel event villain, but can someone who's read it explain why apparently diversity is the key to defeating Malekith and saving the Nine Realms?
Alexander Perez
Yup, Hulk and Strange's runs still confirmed for best character-focused storylines
Jonathan Gonzalez
Totally irrelevant, these characters plus a few other Asian-American heroes (Cho, Silk, and Jimmy Woo) who should have nothing to do with the event just get a mini about fighting off the monsters invading Asia-Pacific
Dominic James
Shulkie looks alright in this cover, though I’m certain she’ll keep looking like shit in the actual comic.
Logan Johnson
Huh, never thought that the chinese comics would get put out over here.
Oliver Anderson
Yes, social media shamed a white man out of the job of writing Blade's daughter, a job that only a black woman could be allowed to do. It seems Marvel never actually found one that wanted the job.

That's a good thing, blade didn't need a daughter. It was a stupid ass idea.

Invisible Bondage?
Samuel Hernandez
yeah, I've worked at con and talked to a lot of people over the years, Busiek knows the industry, Waid knows 50s through 80s, Brevoort has an obnoxious number of longboxes, he just consumes comics
Dominic Wilson
Chrissakes, nobody wants to hear it.

never heard of this, why are people so hyped?

>They didn't learn their lesson Odd combination, Carol and Sue have very few interactions I can remember. Fuck I remember a year ago there was a murmur of her getting a solo, hopefully Waid doesn't fuck it up >Two covers with a relatively acceptable looking Jen Looks promising Are those breasts? In a comic book?! How many more issues until the next relaunch? Jesus that is an ugly cover... Thank god GuriHiru is coming back, last issue just felt like a soulless ripoff of their artwork.

William Reyes
Huh, thanks. I've away from comics for a long time. I legit thought he was dead
Jonathan Garcia
You haven't really missed much. His Scarlet Spider run was shit and his current Symbiote Spider-Man mini is dragged down by Land on art.
Alexander Reyes
>Spider-Girl >Incredible Hercules >Silvestri era X-Men Pretty based.
Jose Wood
>JUAN FERREYRA (A) This is the Killmonger artist. This book will be gorgeous if nothing else.
Adam Watson
What's so good about Samala, anyway? I can dig it, but I don't get why.
Tyler Howard
>John Buscema I guess Sal wasn't interested. As a Hulk fan, I skip. And that art looks like shit.
William Ramirez
they're celebrating the fact they went 1 month without fighting eachother
Jackson Kelly
ahem
Caleb Rivera
What an awful look.
Jackson Davis
im sensing a theme here...
Blake Turner
I mostly started shipping it to counteract Marvel implicitly pushing Kamala/Miles, since Sam is/was a better/more fleshed character than Miles.
Nowadays I do it to shitpost and meme magic it into becoming reality. And if I can't meme magic it, I can at least try and convince people I'm right. At the very least, I want to convince people Sam has more personality than Miles.
Nicholas Mitchell
The Sphinx? Really?
Blake Brooks
But you have artists like the guy working on Nightcrawler that's given all the women huge boobs including the underaged ones. He's done under 10 books for Marvel. You have the guy working on the Domino books. That's all he's done. Both very new artists with no clout whom no one has censored.
Yes there are some instances where characters were changed because their costumes didn't fit the direction of where marvel wanted them to be but these are comics. Not porn. Design matters.
Hell since a lot of guys like to say there can't be any fat women in comics because exercise. No boobs either. Women with that little body fat usually have no tits or fake ones. Being punched in a fake tit by a superhuman would be quite the eruption.
Luke Jenkins
I wish Domino sold better, too bad the Shang Chi arc was a mess.
Feels pretty good to be a strangefag these days tbqh
Logan Miller
I mean, I like it too. And I totally agree on your points. But at the same time, Sam has his shot at a girl that oozes various fetishes, in addition to being a pretty cool character.
The obvious solution: harem.
Noah Barnes
Oh hey it's you again.
Caleb Evans
>Scarlet Spider You mean the saltiest comic Marvel has ever printed.
Man the issues dealing with the suit were gold.
Jace White
>Pixie’s there >Glob’s not on Nextgen #5 or here
heh
Cooper Lopez
Ask him to make the New X-Men important again since he’s a fan of them.
Eli Gutierrez
I miss them
William Price
As soon as he got his hands on Robbie, he fucked up his mythos.
Jaxon Moore
Oh, I have nothing against a harem either. Kamala, Viv, the girls from his solo series whose names I've forgotten, the semi-new cat girl whose name also begins with K, Gamora.
