As someone else trying to make an original show this actually kinda made me think just now. I never really sat down and thought about who the audience for what i'm making is for, it's more what I'd want to see in a show.

I do enjoy animating explosions/laserbeams/splatters and whatnot, but with youtbe being youtube if I have that kind of stuff I wonder if it means it will get age restricted.

Like does HTF have such problems?

That's a good approach really. Worrying about your audience will just make it less creative.

If you have to think about how your audience will react, just use the rule of thumb "write for the smartest people you know."

I think they were trying for the end of this month, but looks like it will be a bit longer than that.

about half of the jokes landed for me but that is still leagues beyond modern Gumball and their meme faces for zoomers.
