The Ultimates was a mistake as well, Millar and Loeb went even further edgelord there. Ultimate FF was arguably a mistake, but resulted in an evil Reed Richards that people love now. Ultimate Spider-Man is the strongest argument against Ultimate Marvel being entirely a mistake.

Normally I wouldn't care because that's par the course for these two but Ultimate Wolverine was an absolute asshole who deserved everything that happened to him

Ultimately (no pun intended) a more down-to-earth and normal version of Jean, but one very much marred by the edgy writing of the earlier arcs.

How fun that she is is directly disproportionate to the length of her hair. Back at the start of the series, when she had short hair, she was fun as hell. As her hair grew, the less fun she became until she turned full boring

Also she was one who can pull off the short haired look before Marvel killed it with overuse
