Fortunately we have music like this to fill the void in our hearts.

The animation was fantastic tho pleb.

That's fine. Anything made with the same feel as EEnE wouldn't hit with today's demographic and plunge into obscurity fairly quickly.

No

I’m going to pretend I can’t read that

I see I'm not the only one who follows EEnE screencaps on Twitter.

Because I don’t speak Normiefag

Boomer here. Your childhood cartoon is trash. It won't be missed.

>actual zoomers on my fucking board

EEnE's style was like a more Tex Avery-esque slapstick heavy show that perfected it's craft. Clarence on the other hand is more akin to Hey Arnold with a heavier emphasis on humor thanks to a strong nostalgia for golden age Simpsons felt throughout.

Part of me wishes Clarence never happened

EEnE had 5 quality seasons plus a mini-season and specials and a movie. That's plenty, we need new good things, not just repeating old stuff that worked.

I'll agree mainstream cartoons have gotten weaker, but nostalgiafagging leads to shitty reboots instead of new quality material.

>Clarence on the other hand is more akin to Hey Arnold
Bingo. It was totally going for that vibe of Nick shows like Hey Arnold, Doug, and even Rugrats.

no way dude just because it has kid characters doesn't mean its anything alike
what made EEnE memorable was slapstick, unique sound design, unconventional design in general, and characters who were always at odds with the world and people around them

>used traditional cel and camera animation all the way up until 2004
So much soul

So it stopped having soul during the peach creek seasons?

Absolutely, and not just because of the animation change
A show about summer vacation starting to do school episodes is a bad idea

>Absolutely
it was rhetorical, if It's about the setting or pacing of the show so be it. I just hate fags who blame modern animation for the tools and not how people use them. It comes across as dumb boomer logic.

Well it was a poor choice because the show actually did lose a lot of soul at the same time

Digital animation =/= soul you curr.

Also using 'soul' unironically because you can't be fucked to use 'charm' or actually explain why makes you look like a buzzword spouting, unimaginative simpleton.

That's not what I said you idiot, read
It was because they started doing school episodes

Then why bring up the topic of cel based animation then ding dong?

Because that's what I was initially talking about, the point is when jabbed that the show's charm fell off there it kind of fell flat because it actually did, but for a different reason

why?
