We might as well pack it up, boys. Chip can't get any better than this. 10/10 will go pick up a physical copy.

This is nice.

Man, this is so good wtf?

Pete looking quite manlet over here.

Dead Eugene "Based" Flash=shit AU

>that coloring
Thanks doc

Jesus Christ this was depressing... I love it

This is great, I miss this kind of raw energy from MJ, people are way too sensetive to her getting angry at Peter, but sometimes he deserves these sorts of tellings off from the woman who knows him best...and Chip came up with a much better explanation for why MJ knows than just peering out the window

uh

And with this, Chip has cemented himself as the best modern spidey writer since early 2000s Bendis. We finally see how he tackles Peter and MJ here and he addresses their highs and lows in a way that nails their characters perfectly.

I love how even Harry is shocked.

Jesus Christ

So I guess we will be seeing Scarlet Spider in this series after all.

It's because it often comes off as really detached and self-centered when MJ blows up at Pete. Like, he'll have just gotten off from a scene where he's risked his neck to save a pre-schooler from falling off a bridge or something and you go right into MJ chewing out Peter for not having enough time for their personal life, and it's just like, really?

It's not necessarily a bad dynamic for MJ to be the one to chew out Pete when he needs to get chewed out, but I feel like it's poorly utilized often enough that a lot of people have gotten this perception of the character, that she's an unreasonable nag.

fffffff
Goddamn this is all good. It feels much more impactful when you know there aren't gonna be any do-overs. And man, considering how intense all of this already is is gonna be insane.

Chip really does love the 90s animated series doesn't he? This twist is right out of that, only with Gwen

High heels, son, you ever hear of them?

I agree with you, it's best used in moderation for when Peter is being a social outcast than as a superhero, as it shows MJ is trying to get him to loosen and open up to his friends when he can't be Spidey

I hope this Last Hunt will be with Symbiote suit Spider-Man.

lol, fucking warren

Holy crap, these were awesome. Ill have to pick them up

Top kino

Fuuuuck, that ain't a good look Harry.

Yep,this shit is good. soo good. A spider-man who struggles because he is just a man,who can't take two lifes separate. Not because he is dumbass manchild

I preferred norman killed gwen then died instead of this

Damn Harry, now THAT'S a fucking look right there.

If it's the clone Peter married and loved, he shoudl stay with her.
Seems like a cheap way to remove her in order to put Peter with Inferior Peg Bundy.

Peter fighting with Reed was pretty sad too.
Both good guys. Sure, he's a dick sometimes but he didn't deserve to get cucked and I'm sure he considered Pete a friend.
Hopefully there will be nice scene between the 2 on this universe's secret wars

Dude, it's EXACTLY what it looks like, you absolute creep.

It was a little poorly explained/too rushed, but he definitely switched bodies after they married/were already a couple.

Still a little forced I guess.

think we're getting some Hobgoblin action next issue?

Attached: this pleases me.png (177x281, 142K)

Well, we'll be hitting the 90s with Issue 4, and the two major Spider-man things of the 90s were Clone Saga 2 and Maximum Carnage.

Oh yeah 90s are gonna be wild considering Peter will be past his prime and hitting that middle age mark.

So this issue was Death of Gwen Stacy + Clone Saga 1. Next issue will be Secret Wars + Kraven's Last Hunt. 90s will probably be Maximum Carnage + Clone Saga 2. But what will 00s and 10s be? Probably Totems for 00s since that was already teased and Spider-verse + "passing on the mantle to Miles" in the 10s?

It's unfuckingbelievable how good Chip is at writing drama and so bad at writing comedy, yet 90% of his comics are comedy. Whoever told him he was funny did the comics industry a massive disservice. Imagine getting this level of quality years ago?

OMD

>old man peter vs newblood 90's edge

Weird how the same guy who wrote those solid 2 issues so far also wrote shit like this

Attached: images (3).jpg (447x687, 73K)

Yikes, this felt like a Lifetime movie. Thank you OP for this. You're definitely a hero I will always remember.

I don’t get it, so he left the clone version of Gwen who he married, spent his time with, and let his own clone take her?
Seems kind of dumb imo.

And offensive shit like this

>60s normal suit
>70s slightly armored suit
>80s symbiote/black suit
Any guesses on what Peter will be wearing in the future? I honestly wanna say Last Stand suit will be one of them.

>peg bundy

Go home Slot, your day is over

Oh shoot. I coincidentally picked the perfect day to see when this came out.

He didn't marry the clone. Warren left the uni, gwen married peter and then she went to work with her old professor, who then cloned her and switched bodies

>sees Harry for the first time in a while
>the first thing he does is insult him

Classic Norman.

I figure the 00's will probably be Horizon labs or School teacher Pete and covering the Totem stuff for both Morlun and Shathra in one go.

Attached: Shathra_(Earth-616)_from_Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_2_46_001.jpg (1000x1500, 1.3M)

Both osborns still alive

Old Peter wont survive that

Shathra a cute.

He will but just barely which leads him to retire till the 10s where he meets Miles.

>where he meets Miles
Fuck you.

Disco is pretty scary, desu.

I think the big problem was that he had Fraction to bounce off of which for a while Sex Criminals was a critically acclaimed comedy book. His solo work like Kaptara which was basically "He-man was really gay guys, isn't that funny?" and for a while ironic stories were in vogue so he was trying to do what was selling well at the time, or at least was critically acclaimed by certain people. Sometimes it takes an outsider to be really good at something. Most guys who write drama sometimes do funny really well.

guarantee he's gonna meet Uncle Bens ghost

What the fuck, MJ?

suit is pretty ugly but it's still a good idea to have him upgrade it

Seems kinda fan fictionish. Still interested.

user, there is no version of this story that doesn't end with Miles taking over as Spider-man in the last issue. Peter will be ~70 years old in the last issue.

A slap? Not a punch?

>hey MJ, how are you and Harry holding up?
>wtf peter I’m so tired of you fake ass preacher talk bullshit, t’s your fault Flash is dead

>Black Goblin

Harry's never gonna be Green again, huh? Still, that's a pretty snazzy look.

>Miles taking over as Spider-man in the last issue
Fuck you.

Horizon labs is 10s
00s will be the jms stuff + 9/11 +civil war and maybe back in black, if peter starts wearing the jms last stand costume all the way to the end of the series i will love chip forever

MJ's drunk, Peter even says that in the next page

>everyone reacts in horror to the Clone Saga

kek

Sorry, meant to say same page

Maybe I'm drunk

The sooner you accept that's how marvel wants thing to be, the better.
What, you want peter to pass the torch to his daughter or something? Hah

Aw gross. I saw he was getting a little handsy earlier, but I thought I was reading too much into it.

It’s even stranger because his Howard run was actually pretty solid. Still, I really hope he writes a serious non-big two book in the future.

>Harry destroys the Clone Saga

Idk, MJ still seemed peeved and was willing to vent about it to Harry when she had coffee

What the fuck, man?

Attached: e84.png (890x640, 382K)

Harry really is the hero we don't deserve.

Solid read, really enjoying this so far. Also I don't know if it's the coloring but bagely seems in top form here so that's nice.

So was this reverse clone saga where the Peter and Gwen in the tanks were the originals but the ones outside were the clones?

No the Gwen in the tank was the real one while the Peter in the tank was the clone.

I reacted the same way. It really didn't make any sense that it happened like that

Honestly I'm dissapointed

This artist drawn like 4 separated clone saga stories

Looking kind of Insomniac there Pete.

He had to remove his facade of "haha isn't this so funny do you like me guys"

When he did the Jonah issue, which was probably the first time he was earnestly writing something and taking a chance putting himself out there and it got acclaim it almost transformed him overnight

No, the Peter in the tank is the clone, the clone Gwen replaced Gwen at some undetermined point, probably long after Real Gwen and Peter married.

It's not even a "how marvel wants things to be." If you're doing a Generations for Spider-man, which this is, that's the logical narrative conclusion to the story. What are the most important things to happen in the Spider-man mythos for the '10s? The introduction of Miles, Spider-verse, Superior Spider-man, and Parker Industries. Superior Spider-man doesn't work because by that time Ock will already be dead from old age, and there's no reason for Ock to transfer his mind into a 70 year old Peter anyways.

So what you're left with is Miles, Spider-verse, and Parker Industries. The logical conclusion then is to have Parker retiring from superheroing while running Parker Industries, has his big team-up with the spiders of other universes, and then decides that his world still needs a Spider-man and passes the mantle onto Miles.

If May survives the 90s or OMD doesn't happen in the 00s then you can also have Mayday/Anime as Spider-girl, too, but you can't do a comic that hits the most important beats of the '10s while pretending that Miles doesn't exist.

You're half right.

It's definitely after she actually went to work for him and it would have probably been some time after that considering funding and what have you

I'm thinking a year tops

Problem is we don't know exactly when the switch happened.

More of this stylish Goblin please.
I never want to go back.

So how come Marvel decided to do this story anyway?

Huh, that makes sense.

Zdarsky probably elevator pitched them after he got turned down for Amazing

Norman would hate it.

Attached: you look like shit.png (1155x579, 998K)

Haha.
Fuck man. Straight up jinkies right there.

>>Still a little forced
As painful as it was for me to see Gwen die yet again...I think it was a clever reveal. I would've preferred live Gwen...

Peter wont let osborns get away with it

PETER STOP

This just confirms what I've always thought. Capeshit's biggest flaw is that time isn't allowed to advance.

Cause it’s a relatively interesting elseworlds. Why shouldn’t they let Chip tell it?

>clone saga only appears for a few pages and already makes the story more confusing than it needs to be

>you want peter to pass the torch to his daughter or something?
Yes. Fuck you.

>cucked by your own clone

I foresaw this comment the moment this book was solicited. You know this is probably going to spawn a number of knock off “capeshit in real time” books from the big two as it’s quite successful.
There’s plenty on non big two capes that integrate that into their premise? Right?

Nobody remembers MC2, don't make this any harder than it has to be.

Yeah, the impression I get is he's hitting major points in the history but deliberately not adhering to the original years (like for instance the Death of Gwen/Norman happened in the early 70's and the Peter and Gwen clones showed up in 1975.

I'm guessing Mary Jane and Peter could be married by the 80's issue. The solicits say he has a family in the 90's.

>clone saga only appears for a few pages
H a
Ha

Attached: B11F0712-E34B-4283-8BF9-744B774AC327.jpg (150x194, 13K)

Mayday doesn't exist anymore. Editorial doesn't want Peter to settle down. And if they're going by the outline she's going to get OMD'd in this series if Pete and MJ stay together long enough to have a child.

She also said she'd talk to Peter later about it, so she was calming down and wanted to make peace with him

They did say they have plans for a few more Life Story comics.

I mean, Clone Saga 1 really wasn't that confusing. It's Clone Saga 2 that was a complete fucking mess. So, y'know, look forward to issue 4 when Chip has to condense all of Clone Saga 2 into 1 issue.

Mayday never existed in 616 you fag. She was a literal stillborn due to editorial.
Nothing is new. Nothing is ever new.

Shut yer fucking trap

>he doesn't know
I can't wait for issue 4 when Miles reveals that the Peter in the tube was actually the real Peter all along and this one is the clone, and then the issue ends with the reveal that that was all Osborn fucking with him the whole time.

I hope Judas Traveler shows up for a single panel just to say some cryptic shit.

Who's talking about Mayday? This isn't the MC2 universe, just make another random daughter and call it a day. I'm sick and tired of the Miles parasite being shoved into every Peter story.

I wonder if Gwen and the Norman clone are actually dead or not.

>Nobody remembers MC2
Yes we do.

Everyone who counts doesn't.

Maybe peter's kid in this not interested to follow his step

Peter know he is not clone

>editorial doesn't want peter to settle down

So explain why Slott ressurected MC2 Peter and let RYV Peter and MJ live in spidergedoon?

>more life story books come out
>”fuck, this is what all capeshit should be, fucking solid, non-malleable storytelling”
>even more life story books come out
>”fuck this, it’s ruining the basic premise of these characters, try-hard garbage that wants so desperately to be seen as ‘real storytelling’”
If capeshitters didn’t behave the way they do, nobody would hate them.

Every true fan doesn't count 616/mephistoverse faggot.

These Osborns not hate him enough to do thT

THIS WAS GOOD

Miles and/or May. I hope there's May at some point.

2 'what-if' stories?
He's the literal conclusion of Parker's story. Why would he not be present?

>2 what-if stories

MC2 has pretty much the entire history of the original comics as it's backstory, and omits the last ten years which were never worth shit to begin with. It's a more authentic canon than the Mephistoverse crap you're a slave to

...

I'm liking spencer's run too but this series and spec makes me wish for him in amazing as well

>He's the literal conclusion of Parker's story
Says who?

>Why would he not be present?
Because he's a garbage character.

I mean, the reason they didn't allow May to be born in the 90s was because they didn't want to age Peter too much. By this book's very design, having May be born actually benefits the story being told. The solicits for the 90s issue ever refer to Peter's family, which to me implies more than just MJ.

A 50 year old Peter trying to protect his wife and daughter from a super-powered serial killer should make for a fun story. Or, well, appropriately tragic. Given how this issue was, I really don't see them getting through the 90s without a body count.

>he's the literal conclusion of Peter's story

Except he isn't. Miles wasn't even the end of Ultimate Peter's story because Bendis revived Peter and Miles was exiled to the Mephistoverse. I hope the irony that Miles himself comes from a WHAT IF STORY hasn't escaped you.

>Old Peter passing the torch to a younger Spider-Man

Even if the rest of the comic somehow sucks, this would be really great to see if it was done well.

There's a video from ComicPop with Chip Zdarsky. There he says that he pitched it as a story about Marvel in general not just Spider-Man but he was told that it was too big so he limited it to Peter.

He also says that he regrets not getting a mini for each decade instead of an issue per decade.

00's
Morlun, Ezekiel, Shathra, etc Hopefully ignoring OMD/BND, and Sins Past though.
10's
Miles, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Verse, and if there's some weird swerve there might be a version of Spider-Gwen?

>if there's some weird swerve there might be a version of Spider-Gwen?
I could easily see Spider-Gwen being the daughter of Ben and Helen.

Death of doc ock

>Miles, Superior Spider-Man, Spider-Verse, and if there's some weird swerve there might be a version of Spider-Gwen?
Good god don't give them ideas.

Ah yes. The canon MC2 with no active books, and it's last appearance being a bit part in a lackluster event.
He's a legacy character. That's what legacy characters do.

Man this decade had such shit stories, even the 90s at least had dematteis

It should be may that’s the best way for this to happen she’d have to be born in the 80s for it to work well but that’s fine

Miles has been around for almost a decade and he has done nothing but detract from peter. His true successor is always gonna be mayday since she was organically written into the story Miles is just a marketing tool always has been always will be

Ultimate got shuttered with Miles being it's only survivor. He's been elevated to canon. That's more than most What-if stories.

In the original MC2, May was a teenager during the late 90's. If Chip sticks to that, then she's going to be in her 20's during the 00's and 30's in the 10's.

Ditto I want Mayday and with Ben and Helen we might get other Spider kids too (Reilly Tyne maybe? But his name is George Parker).

So Namor one this round and reeds loss to a fish man

Oh right, that's why MC2 Peter is The Other and why RYV Annie is the new master weaver of the multiverse. That's more than most what if stories too. Pfft.

You're losing the argument very easily.

And the Ultimate Universe exists again, Bendis revealed that before he left. Miles ain't the conclusion to any story, Ultimate, Peters, NOBODIES. And the existence of the web warriors means EVERYTHING IS CANON DIPSHIT

>she’d have to be born in the 80s
Except she was "born" during Clone Saga 2, meaning the 90s issue. It complicates things a bit timeline wise because it means that Peter would be pretty old by the time she's conceived though. I could see the 80s issue ending with the stinger of MJ revealing she's pregnant though. That gives you child May in 90s, teen May in 00s, and adult May in '10s.

This. Yea Forumsmblr is finished.

This part I'm also interested in, it looks like the Vietnam War actually got stretched out further because of Captain America and Iron Man's presence.

Both of the those facts that every writer can and will safely ignore until Slott or Editorial want to shit out another Spider-verse story. Both of those titles mean nothing until that event happens in like 2-3 years.

Makes sense. Iron Man's involvement means that the USA would be more hesitant to admit defeat. Meanwhile, Cap saving people on both sides means less casualties all around, which drags out the war by having more combatants.

MJ will 100% be on menopause by the 90s so they don't have much time to have a kid.

Holy shit

We should or Harry going even nuttier.

>Except she was "born" during Clone Saga 2,

Yeah, I know. But the MC2 comics usually set her stories in late 90's/early 00's, which was weird but considering they wouldn't know what 20 years from the 90's would be like it made sense to be contemporary.

> It complicates things a bit timeline wise because it means that Peter would be pretty old by the time she's conceived though.

Yeah, if Mayday was born according to the time in Clone Saga, Life Story Peter would be in his late 40's.

Plus don't forget the Zdarsky has the benefit of hindsight and can switch stuff around, like for instance Clone Peter and Clone Gwen going off together instead of Clone Peter being dropped in a smokestack. I don't know how much of 70's Fantastic Four that Zdarsky read but 70's was around the time Reed and Sue's marriage was getting strained and they separated.

looking forward to Spider-Boomer vs the Xtreme 90's and Maximum Carnage.

Here's another thing, what happens with Frank Castle if the war's still going on?

Oh wow

I fucking love this book.

Thanks, OP.

my heart will not be ready for this.

>Spider-Man never showed up in Nam

that's gotta hurt

>Spider-Man never showed up in Nam

Well, not in this timeline.

>He also says that he regrets not getting a mini for each decade instead of an issue per decade.

I'm torn on that because doing it as a miniseries per decade could work, but doing each decade as an issue forces him to condense down to the most important parts possible. It's a real contrast against other comics that just seem to drag out.

I think two issues a decade could have been nice and would wrap up in a clean 12 issues but this condensed version is forcing him to tell what he probably thought the most important parts of the story were so there's no fear of page space going to waste.

Right, it's so refreshing to read a book that is just economical with its storytelling and every page is purposeful. I definitely would love to see him get a chance to do a similar treatment to other characters when this series is done, so we could see this universe from their perspective, but as a self-contained story, the restrictions are working in its favor.

Well, the 80s issue solicits say that the Vietnam was has ended, so it's not like it'll be a perpetual war. In this setting, the superheroes' involvement just meant that the US didn't pull out so the war dragged on a few more years than it otherwise would have. The real question is whether the superheroes' involvement results in south Vietnam actually winning the war.

Feels new universe ish.

How do we know Harry isnt a clone?

>making a clone of Harry

Why would I want twice the disappointment?

Attached: norman-osborn-the-spectacular-spider-man-2.2.jpg (210x240, 20K)

Naw Peter and MJ should have a boy. Little girls are annoying.

Peter always had daughters so it could be cool to see him with a boy for once

Yeah, that's why I expect May to be born in the 1980's. But I also wonder if Zdarsky's going to add in the other kids Peter and MJ have, like Benjy or Annie May from the RYV universe. Not using Mayday would be a waste though, so I'd hope she gets to show up.

Why must Reed continue to suffer?

>Osborne creates Clone to take over
>Clone alive and well
>Gets contacted
It won't happen but it could be cool.

Perpetual Vietnam is cool I just came off Watchmen.

damn peter i didn't realize spider powers let you burn people like that

Peter had a son with Gwen in House of M

How the fuck is this "offensive" it's not like he's apologizing for being a white male, he's just trying to get autographs for his buddy's kid, that's pretty in character

It's still his fault even if not directly.

wow, that's even more fucked than just wanting to fuck the clone

>60 year old Peter fighting both Morlun and Shathra
He's gonna die unless they introduce May or Miles

I have a feeling Tommy will be posting this page a lot in the coming months

Maybe he'll die to morlun and be reborn as the other with enough buffs to keep him spider-man at least till 70.

Wait how did Harry learn that Peter is Spider-Man?

Norman told him. See

What's the point of this mini series?

I dunno, what’s the point of any story? I’m pretty sure this is a work intended to entertain.

Looks like a cleaned up retelling of Peter Parker stories with the gimmick of Parker aging in real time.

does this mean Peter is a virgin again

I can't believe it doesn't end there

When do Marvel's July solicitations get released? I want a peak at what to expect for 00s Spider-Man.

He's had years to have sex with Gwen so I'm pretty sure they fucked before the Clone switch.

Should be next Tuesday.

Savage

It kind of pains me to read this and think of what could've been with USM, but this was very enjoyable and different. Thanks for the story time.

I didn't see that coming

Aw, man!

Well, at least Ben have the happy ending

Wait...Secret...Wars...
Secret...
OH FUCK IT'S THE COLD WAR.
GUYS SCREENCAP THIS,THE SYMBIOTE IS A SOVIET EXPERIMENT

I don't know how, but I want to keep hope for a potential resurrection and becoming Agent Venom.

A little convenient that she runs off with the clone, innit?

You'd think she'd be a bit more uncertain.

Just go for the black suit for the rest of the run.

The clone Gwen had to tell Pete to try and save the bodies in the tubes, then after they found out the truth Pete went to go cradle the real Gwen's dead body rather than comfort the clone. She probably figured that he would never be comfortable with the idea of being with someone who wasn't really the person he fell in love with -- only an imitation. The same thing more or less happened at the end of the original Clone Saga. It' not a bad idea, but here it does feel a lot more rushed than it should. They should've stretched the mini out to twelve issues and tackled them in five year chunks, but whattya gonna do?

Stormin' Norman.

>Carnage is a communist

Even though like 90% of Stark's initial rogue's gallery was fighting Russian spies and saboteurs, I still don't really see him actually going to 'Nam, but maybe I don't have a read on how he was in the silver age.

If the Gwen Peter's been married to all these years, why would she go off with Ben?

What if the whole "merging with the Other" or whatever nonsense involved him emerging from a cocoon with organic webbing and those dumb stinger things thing winds up making him younger?

Attached: 7b3.jpg (500x367, 67K)

I could see him getting overly invested considering his origin story.

Obviously Reed Richards went and cured menopause on a drunken bender.

Abandons the wife who he married because she's a clone...and her rebound is his clone. That's fucked in many levels to even be an excuse, holy shit.

Imagine stealing your own wife from yourself.

>He also says that he regrets not getting a mini for each decade instead of an issue per decade.
I can understand why. I liked these issues but the fast pace really pushed the melodrama so some moments are inadvertently funny.
It's oddly reminiscent of the 70's writing so I don't mind to much but still.

Each mini being 2-3 issues would probably be perfect, no ore, no less

peter was already showing his disgust for clones before he found out and then jumps and breaks down over the original gwen. You're right in that peter should stay with clone gwen and i'm saying that as an MJfag since depending on how long ago the switch was he was fine with her but we're not peter and he obviously didn't see it that way.

Did Harry intentionally aim those bombs to destroy the clones or was he just throwing them away.

There's something darkly funny that Gwen's death was just an accident.

To be fair, I can understand. Imagine if someone you loved died and you had to live with that knowledge while also having a perfect clone of them in your face every day that reminded you of that fact. I could see that eating away at him.

He was destroying the clones intentionally to spite Norman.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 61K)

Honestly they probably both went through some shit

She had to deal with the fact that she wasn't the person she thought she was and he had to deal with the fact that his wife was switched out and he never even noticed since the switch logistically had to happen after they were married at the very least

>it’s another writer shits on MJ because they like Gwen story

A costume for every decade.

>we can’t share our electric technology, it would kill the steam industry!
Go to hell Reed.

>when you’re such a shit your wife leaves you for a man with the blood of hundreds of innocents on his hands and has an extreme bipolar disorder to “explain” it.

Eh. I see his point. Unlike Electricity which is a replacement, more efficient power source, these would be literally indestructible clothing. You could buy 1 pair of close and never need to buy more again. I think it would lead to less sails in the long run.

That said, having clothes that always fit perfect would be cool.

I'm not sure, do you guys think the ripple effect from Peter getting Norman arrested was better or worse than 616 canon where he lets him slide?

I mean, Gwen died both times, but are there other people Norman and Harry hurt/killed that weren't endangered this time?

The effect on Harry seems less bad this time around. We'll have to see if that changes down the line.

So in the 90s issue Peter has a heart attack?

00s will be civial war.

Probably Ironman trying to control usa.

90s.

>implying this wouldn’t open the way for new industries based on reformatting and updating unstable molecule clothes to keep with current fashion trends

Just because Reed “fishcuck” Richards has no imagination and no faith in humanity to do anything but sit and drool with new technology doesn’t mean you should user.

What Reed is doing is evil.

Too early to tell. Harry is the one who accidentally killed Gwen. Norman presumably was still in prison since 1966.

>Gwen alive
>MJ not married to Peter
Disgusting. What did we get rid of Slott for if this shit is still being peddled?

I thought this was supposed to be some kind of Elseworlds thing, why's Reed the exact same as he is normally, some autist being cucked by a fishman?

I wish Peter being an assistant/partner ro Reed's research was a thing in the main continuity.
He's pretty much the only guy who's friends with him that isn't already a hotshot researcher with his own lab and he can keep up with him intellectually.
Heck, he's friends with the entire FF. It's super comfy when they have adventures together.

Do you think jobs just pop up overnight? There's tens of thousands of people that would be next in line at a soup kitchen because some autist released the greatest shit ever made. Some might be able to get back in, but most of them wouldn't stand a chance and have to find other employment.

plus the fake parents

Peter with Gwen and Harry with MJ reminds me of this, Earth X Spidey.

Attached: __hr_spx_p08.jpg (970x1500, 163K)

so Pete is 50 when carnage comes around. That feels good.

and then would be super anime, but good for him to be de-aged by totem in '00's and then train miles in the 2010

Alright fags, show me on the page where Gwen gets her neck snapped in a failed rescue attempt?

>Ben have the happy ending
user, this is Clone Saga 1. Which ended with Ben "dieing" in a smokestack but actually surviving and going on to live a relatively happy life. Let's see how happy of an ending he gets after the 90s issue when he comes back and we have to deal with "What if Clone Saga 2 was 1 issue long, had Carnage going on a murder spree in the middle of it, and involved a middle-aged Peter and Ben."

I'm looking forward to the 80s issue. I'm terrified of the 90s issue. There is no version of the 90s issue that doesn't end in heart break for everyone involved.

>I'm changing the goalpost

Pathetic.

That'd actually be a clever way of doing Brand New Day, but it being clever doesn't necessarily mean it's good for telling an overarching narrative. Having a story about Peter aging in real time then getting de-aged in the penultimate issue would be weird, even if there is a perfectly logical in-universe reason for it.

Gwen has the exact same haircut.
I wonder if it was intentional

Isn't that pretty much what happened in Byrnes Generations? I stopped enjoying it around that point

Would it be lame or cool if Chip used The Other arc to deage Pete a little so he can actually fight during the 00s?

Harry seems pretty fucking broken for the entirety of this issue. Maybe not as bad as what happened to him in 616, but timeline-wise, Harry spent a decade having his body and soul slowly crushed (not to mention he now needs to live with the guilt of being the one that killed Gwen) while in 616 over the same span of time, he went nuts over the course of a couple years, died, then came back to life and lived a relatively happy and fulfilling life up to now.

Although a bit too tied to the whole Earth X/Universe X story, the Spidey issue is a really good comic on its own and I recommend.

Attached: __hr_spx_p03.jpg (969x1500, 172K)

It's condensing Peter's life into a 6 issue mini. Unfortunately, there's no way to do that while ignoring the clone stuff.

The bigger problem is that whenever his inventions manage to get stolen it’s always converted into a WMD somehow.
It’s, a bit weird how writers never let Reed just say that instead.

Cool in the sense that it's an interesting way to condense the important parts of 00s Peter, since The Other was a big thing there, and so was OMD/Brand New Day whose whole point was de-aging him. Condensing that into The Other de-ages him is a smart way to handle that if you're doing "The 00s in one issue."

But it's lame in the sense that seeing actually age over time is practically the whole point of this mini and that would spit in the face of that idea.

Why people keep bringing Miles? The real heir to Peter's legacy is his daughter, May.
And will be amazing if May becomes Earth X Venom.

Or... what if Ben dies in the 90's and resurrects in the 00's?

I wish we had seen more of this in the second issue, but I understand why we didn't.

God damn. This is so fucked up but it works really well.

Attached: 1517297213295.webm (1600x1600, 3M)

Is this gonna be a 5 or 6 issue mini?

Make this goblin canon please.

Solicits say (of 6) but we don't know any solicits past Issue 4/The 90's.

Does Reed know that Peter is Spider-Man? I don't think it's established here.

What do you mean, user?

Probably.

He's talking about that Piccolo meme.

Attached: 1bc.png (626x754, 95K)

I don't think so.
Reed probably knows because of his scanners or something like that, but it doesn't seem like Peter actually revealed that to him.

They probably wouldn't have had this fight if he shared his secret though.

Dear god the thiccness has me

After you show me the part in the comics where Flash dies in Vietnam

where my boy Hobie at? they're not gonna use Aaron Davis, right?

Attached: fucking lasers.png (480x360, 183K)

Jackal would be a God tier movie villain, but feminism would hate it.

Only way we see anything Miles is if we get a 2010 issue, I thought it was cutting off at the 2000s. Though as much as I love Hobie they don't really have time for him in this, if they did trades based on each decade than absolutely we should get a mention

Fuck Miles and fuck Bendis even harder

1: 60's
2: 70's
3: 80's
4: 90's
5: 00's
6: 10's

I'm pretty sure there's going to be six issues.

>spoiler tag
That's the spirit. I thought this was the general consensus, but now reading this thread I realized I was wrong.

Spiderverse made people realize miles can be done well

anything besides you CAN have potential, its the nature of probability. But whatever potential you think Miles has is buried under the fact that he's nothing but a succusful attempt to cash in on "woke" culture. He has no good stories no villains fuck the nigga has no in universe origin and, fuck this is going to end with peter and may dying and Miles taking his place isn't it? Fuck this timeline fuck sony fuck Miles fuck Bendis and fuck the academy. Little prick has contributed nothing nd gets praised for it

Jesus fucking Christ

>implying it's in any way possible for us to need as many programmers for fashion brands as we have people involved in the textile industry.

DUDE were you born retarded? We legit just said spiderverse showed he is a good character lmfao and yo still double down on the fact he is uninteresting and boring? Everyone here agrees his comics suck but damn his stories can kick ass under the right guy. SEE SPIDERVERSE FAGGOT.

How was je done right? was he written into peters life at an interesting point? Has he added to the lore in any interesting ways? Does he provide a way of looking at the spider person concept n a way we haven't seen before? What has he tangibly added, besides killing off peter, to spider-man? Spider verse was fine, thats it we saw it all before in the lego movie but at least there they wrote more than two interesting characters

Jesus fuck Peters life is just suffering isn’t it? AU or not his life is fucked

Miles was never bad. It was always a meme of readers being convinced of 'white genocide' happening in comics. His 1610 run is pretty good, and his 616 run floundered due to

1. Bendis making the story an unfocused mess
2. Editorial having annual events that disrupt the flow of stories.

But even after that with the new writer on his 616 run has righted the ship.

Depending on how these sell I imagine they'll spin it off into the same concept for other characters over a longer period of time. If his Two-in-One is anything to go buy, I'd love to see his take on FF over time.

Zdarsky has had a real string of solid auditions for books he should have gotten but didn't

Good thing he's killing it on Daredevil, maybe in five years he'll be running the place like Bendis

whats his origin? Whats his relationship with peter? Why is he attached to the name spider-man when he literally works in the same city as the original? Miles is bad because he's the outcome of a fetish who activly takes resources away from his original hero while giving nothing in return. Miguel Mayday fick even Parvitar all have their own lives and personal stakes in having the name. Miles is literally "I'm proud to be black spider-man because the color of my skins defines my life"

Also his 616 run sucks because he has no reason to be there and never has to because Bendis had the clout to let his story arc continue unabated from 1610. Bombshells story begins with ultimate peter and you have to read that far back to understand it sully. Miles stole his name powers costume love interest font and even his fucking numbering from peter and all he's given us in return is the inevitable attempt to kill pete off again to push him harder

Attached: spider-man issue 8.jpg (1041x1600, 432K)

>"I'm proud to be black spider-man because the color of my skins defines my life"

Some weak bait.

As to his origin Miles is the sole survivor of the Cataclysm that destroyed 1610. He's given a second chance along with his friends and his family because of his assistance he provided in the final battle of secret wars. The details of him being brought over are still a mystery, but the boon granted to him resets him into the minds of all the NYC heroes as 'always having been there'.
As for NYC with the original wall crawler, the city is divided between the two for patrols. Not sure what you mean by resources being taken from Pete though.

Shit post this retard is

~2 decades of Gwen is as good as it gets, I suppose

Again with this picture? What is it trying to prove?

His story continues from 1610 because he is the same person from 1610.

>The details of him being brought over are still a mystery

Its not he gave molecule man a burger and boom no expanding on the plot. We don't know what his life was like in the 616 before he got his powers, he apparently remembers his past life when the story needs it but never beyond that. He's a terrible addition because he hasn't added anythign he's been in 616 longer than he was ever in 1610 and nothing has happened in his story besides it being "rebooted" to bring his uncle back. And what does "always been there" mean he's obviously a 2nd generation hero so when in petes story does he pop up/Why have they never attempted to expand there relationship? Its half implied theres a mentor mentee thing going but they never do anythign with it Miles is just loved more than peter because its what the story calls for, he has no side characters no motivations no character flaws I hate him because he's been shackled to peter, dragging him down just to kill him off.

And he's taking resources away from peter by just being there and also litrally taking away peters thunder in the first spider-man animated movie.

tldr I like some black people. I hate miles

>Milesfags ruining a good thread with their shit again
Never change Yea Forums

I hope 00s or 10s will be with the Last Stand suit.

why is it never mentioned in his book though? He is just a normal kid who at some point gets spider powers and his dramatic reveal of getting his name is asking the person currently using it if he can use it to. Miles is a text book example that no one cares about the finer details of liking comics as long as they can feel good about liking something progressive. Is bombshell the same person as she was in 1610? Miles has a larger issue count than black panther a character almost 50 years older than him, and it was a trick to make you think that there is some sort of deeper story to him and there never has been.

I was always going to hate Miles since you have to kill peter to get to him. but at least when he was shunted off to the ultimate universe he felt like he had a purpose. In 616 he has no purpose and this constant indignance about it pointing that out is frustrating

Attached: to dang long.jpg (1000x759, 227K)

All you have to do to make miles likeable is have him have met interacted with spiderman before he retires or dies and then gives him his mantle to carry on. The problem with 1810 is miles had no connection to Peter and in 616 Peter's still around. Spiderverse solved this by miles getting powers and then Peter entrusting him the the goober before he died

it doesn't though because you end a story prematurely to give it to a much less interesting character. You want to make miles work become a spider-man fan, than you'll truly realize that he'll never work. Read sideways or static or the new blue beetle if you want to see a character of a different ethnicity while not defining themselves solely on that. I don't understand why you have to take something away to add nothing

This made completely no sense. Why did you have Peter and Gwen married in the first place when Peter's gonna hook up with MJ at the end? Why even make Gwen end up in that tube when it makes more sense that Warren would clone his own Gwen for himself in that tube rather than use the real Gwen?

You can have Gwen die in Peter's arm by Harry. The Gwen clone would be alive and sees that the real Gwen dies saving her. Give Gwen a heroic death. Then have the Peter and Gwen clone leave together. With the recreation of that door with scene MJ comforts Peter and then they can develop later on

The thought that the real Gwen was in that tube and not the clone feels off. And pairing with MJ just like that feels forced

It's Miles' movie how is that theft from Parker?

Miles opened the gate on Spider-verse and the concept of having radically different spider-people who aren't Peter Parker, rather than being Peter with a minor variation.

Also the reformation of the champions was in part by him.

'Always been there' means people recognize him as being Spider-man for quite awhile, even though he's only been active by our time for a short bit.

The details of him popping into the universe are hazy along with how he got his powers because he placed in there by Molecule Man. His Origin is still the spider-bite from 1610.

Your acceptance of the piss porr explinations from Bendis is sad. The concept of a spider-verse type story line has been around since the 90s and Miguel proved two decades ago that an alternate spider person can work and Mayday proved that the fans would accept a true heir to peter the only things those two don't have that Miles does is unabashed support from Marvel.

The asking Parker to use the name is the manufactured memory from molecule man. As to why they haven't expanded on it yet, I'm not sure. Probably getting adventures under his 616 belt before going into it. But just because they aren't using it now doesn't mean they won't later. In all likely hood it's probably the reason behind the tension between Peter and Miles in the upcoming event.

Im guessing chip only briefly glosses over the situation in nam in case he gets to do this for other characters

I liked the comic, but I will agree that having Peter marry Gwen just to kill her off and then follow up by having him (presumably) marry MJ is pretty weird. They could've just been engaged or something.

He's had 5 years of adventures Bendis just did;t care because he knew people like you and wouldn't care about good story telling for just bland "representation" of the whitest afro latino ever

and if there is a Miles event I won't be buying it

I'm glad to see that even in prison Norman makes sure to keep his waves on point.

Miguel and Mayday were initially 'future' spider-people, not alternate universe. Miguel and Mayday also haven't had a good story since the 90's. Miles is and has always been the face of Alternate Universe spider-people.

He's gotta make sure he doesn't look like shit. Like Harry.

This is so fucking awkward use of a time skip. It's confusing and the intent doesn't come off the way it should and you have to actually go back and reread to properly to understand it.

>Again with this picture? What is it trying to prove?
That blacks are awful.
Same with every other complaint about Miles.

WOW, there's not enough jail to handle your level of crime buddy.
Aiding a known super criminal, kidnapping, cloning.
>MJ, who'd been partying it up with a human sized wallet, was talking mad shit up until now about Peter's choices since teenagehood to protect the city from supervillains just because he made a concerned remark about her and Harry and Flash is dead due to no fault of him
Nah this ain't me.

I'm not even against the MJ pairing or anything, but any other MJ but this. If her morality takes a 180 to make her more like 616 so this can work after however long living and thinking differently it'll just feel even more artificial.

Miles has't been AU for longer than he was, just say you like these conversations where you like thinking I'm racist for liking spider-man before Miles and get it over with. I was just talking about this spider-man comic before y'all came in defending the Bendis donut steal

nvm I wrote this before popped up good night milesfags thanks for being pricks

I already said Bendis' 616 Miles run was an unfocused mess. And these constant events annual events don't help either. Saladin already fixed that.

Anyone else irked by Spider-Man's 70s suit looking so un-70s? It's too much of a deviation of the classic suit for how early on in his history this is taking place. Not even Harry's Goblin outfit looks like a product of the time.

I'm sad we didn't have any disco ball pumpkin bombs.

Isn't a major part of this issue about how much trends and tech have changed?

I think its just a reflection of the darker timeline, I'm not a fan of petes design but I like the idea of him making armor so I'll wait see what the 80s look like

Attached: 1400986712297.jpg (724x696, 118K)

>and it's just like, really?

People with this mentality always fail to understand how much of a strain it is to be a partner to someone who every day comes back battered, bruised and bleeding and barely has any time to spend with you. Imagine being a cop's wife and your husband gets shot every other week, so you're basically conditioned to fear for the worst every time something bad happens. And that's not even taking account things like bad guys like Venom knowing Peter's identity and invading your home. Like, sure, she can come off as a cunt, but any relationship is a two way street and Peter often neglects his normal life.

>Superior Spider-man doesn't work because by that time Ock will already be dead from old age, and there's no reason for Ock to transfer his mind into a 70 year old Peter anyways.

Unless they're cloning Peter's body, again.

Its a possibility, who knows if Miles tries to clone Peter again.

Even after safely being locked behind bars, Norman still finds away to screw Peter over

What if the Clone Saga ends with real Peter dying and Ben taking over as Peter?

Did miles appear this early on??

Based norman

Sort of. I think this was retroactively made the first appearance of the Jackal.

>"God what an total anti social jerk that Parker guy is"
It's not the guys fault that he has to worry about his only living family member being in a hospital.

>Why even make Gwen end up in that tube when it makes more sense that Warren would clone his own Gwen for himself in that tube rather than use the real Gwen?

Because getting the real Gwen would mean more to him than having a Gwen copy?

They still do wave checks in the pen

>Peter switch from physics to electrical engineering
Ehhhhhh

The problem I think is that we didn't get much of Mary Jane's character till now. About all we have to go on his her knowing that Peter was Spider-Man and her being frustrated with Harry and then getting drunk-angry at Peter. This might've benefited from an extra issue in between #1 and 2.

Idk why put Harry+MJ pairings always make me seethe
Seeing MJ with harry drives me up a wall

Yeah but idk if she does or should really know him best in this reality since they never even dated

The absolute madman
What a tweeeeest

You know, I kinda miss MJ having this hairstyle. Like I get why they rolled back to the old Romita-design and stuck that way, but to me that was the style when I was reading Spider-Man comics.

Think of it this way, he's essentially THE Spider-Man artist from the 90s/00s from how often he gets stuck drawing him. Clone Saga is basically the 90s story everyone thinks of when it comes to Spidey, and USM for 00s.

Peter and Matt are the toilets of the Marvel Universe

Tony would be way too old by then

>Civil War in the superhero retirement house
>over who gegts the last pudding cup

>Tony would be way too old by then

Given how technology has progressed, Tony doesn't have to be in the suit to be Iron Man anymore. He can be an old guy using an interface to use IM armors as remote puppets like in most future storylines

>his 1610 run is pretty good
Top kek, it’s just black face ultimate Peter

To be fair, it's kind've hard to condense MJ's character development in to even just a handful of issues. People here would probably be even madder if Zdarsky tried to make her more accurate to how she really behaved during the Romita/early Conway era.

>ask Harry to do you one favor
>he fucks it up

Honestly I like how logically dysfunctional it was in retrospect.
Pair up the party girl and boy with daddy issues but one has commitment issues and the other has neglect/abandonment issues. That was never going to end well.

It actually makes their later friendship sweeter.

I think the issue was that Peter never spoke about it.
As soon as Romita takes over and everyone starts actually communicating, everyone get's on better.

I've always suspected that Harry is actually Norman's semi-failed clone.
How else you replicate that hair?

Holy fuck, that hit hard after last chapter

Yeah that's why writers keep bringing it up and why Gage undid Slott's shit in Spider-Verse.

Peter has had sons, even in the MC2verse, read more.

You guys are also forgetting the clones, Ben and Helen will probably have kids of their own with clone degeneration and fuck possibly Kaine in the 90's holy shit.

Slott is not involved with Spider-Man anymore, dumbass.

Earth X Peter was such a shit father, Mayday in the ground crying and saying "You never wanted me" was fucked up.

Also writers are pretty autistic about Gwen when Peter didn't even gave the clone Gwen a second look when he thought she was the real Gwen come back to life because he was in love with MJ at that point.

Kinda. Bruce got de-aged by the Lazarus Pit but ages 1 year for every century. Clark's aging slows down the older he gets.

I think what I find interesting is that Life Story gets compared with Generations, but I think the difference between the two is that Zdarsky is probably more open to including nods to modern stuff.

When you think about it, MJ being a 30 years old still spending her time and money being a party girl and a walking money pit is quite a sad thing.

A woman like her would actually obliterate someone like Parker.

Nice mis-direction. Can't wait to find out more about this world.

Next issue should be good, Mayday, Secret Wars and Symbiote will be fun. Kraven's Last Hunt will be great if that is what is being hinted at.

>Symbiote Spider-Man during this version of Last Hunt
Would be hype

>Batman and Superman are just immortals by the end of it
Whats the point of doing a lifetime story with Batman if you just de-age him to be a young again?

I'm gonna guess they will do a Life story for other characters in this universe will it be ironman or the xmen

This is Marvel we're talking about.

I guess him being involved in both Spider-verse stories means he wouldn't be consulted for the 3rd?

Which one is "the Spidey issue"? Never read Earth-X

Daredevil would make a interesting life story

You mean miles haters.

Its more like miles himself trying to ruin peter

Clearly you haven't seen the movie lol.

Yeah and I feel real bad for all the poor candle stick makers that got fucked over by the electric light, but somebody always has to get steamrolled for the sake of progress. The future will be better for it. This is just the way progress works. How many genius inventions will Reed hold back for fear of world upheaval? Will he hide the cure for cancer to save the pharmaceutical industry?

He’s a comic book genius whose had multiple arcs about people stealing his tech and turning it into weapons. It makes sense he’s skiddish about releasing unstable molecules into the world.

I saw the movie and all I saw was miles killing off his peter and New York forgetting about it in 2 days because this new spider-man is better. You’ve made some real revelations to what you want from the world Tyrone

This, although I'd like to see how they handle Tony getting old too.

>Iron Man life story
>Tony truly becomes Iron Man in the literal sense as the decades go by

I feel a little bad that peter just straight up abandoned clone gwen right there

When was the switch made?

>90s comes
>Reed is wanted internationally for completely making all the oceans uninhabitable with some experimental poison

That's what you get for cucking the world's greatest mind.

Yeah you definitley didn't see the movie.

Lifer man

I theorized earlier it couldn't have been more than a year and I stand by that

Ahh, real Mary Jane.

Bet you whining retards hate this.

>A woman like her would actually obliterate someone like Parker.
Her getting with Peter is what made her change, actually.

>>hey MJ, how are you and Harry holding up?
Actually, he was outright saying they weren't doing so well. Can be easily taken as an insult.

I did, I just still don’t see how Miles is any more than a blatant attempt at cashing in on the “sole” crowd. If he had an origin beyond killing peter, or more importantly had any interesting stories or relationships in or out of costume maybe I could forgive it but he doesn’t even in his own books he’s a vestigial part of his own spider-man story. I’m sorry I liked spider-man before the movie

The general message of Byrne's Generations was that none of the replacements were as good as the originals. That and "Superman + Lana forever".

Kinda beats the purpose of making a generations story where new heroes carry on the legacy of the original ones doesn't it?

They invited Peter to the sad sack scene only for him to find Harry Scarfaced out while his girl knocks back drinks so she doesn't have to think about his problems or "babysit" him.

Someone with faux concern would have just shrugged with no crowd to see or straight up snickered at how fucked up it was. Peter asking discreetly if the two are silently crying for help might not be flattering but it's no insult.

And MJ can catch a bus for throwing Peter further under the Osborn Express the very next morning. Jesus, Peter so far has done nothing feasibly wrong.

Peter was wary about Flash going to 'Nam for the wrong reasons, he chose to go despite the bad news. Somehow it's Peter's fault the consequences happened as they did. Was his remark out of line? Absolutely, but he was still on the money. Should Spider-Man have gone there and caught every last bullet, every last stray of shrapnel to keep Flash alive, or beheaded every suspicious rice farmer along his route just so Flash could come back? He still goes to his grave to show his respect.

He fought Norman and tried to keep him from relapsing and causing harm to the extent possible. He could have just left him for dead and been done with it but unbeknowst to Norman in his psychotic little mind the fact he's even still breathing is because Peter did give him a second chance, not a dream come true but a chance to wake up and realize how insane he was making his own life. So what does he do? Fucks him.

Peter argues with Reed on the ethics of their practice, does he step out of line? Yes, but that doesn't justify physical assault. Pete could sue him in fact, but he just takes it, even though he could probably tie Reed into a noose, and then quits.

Now his wife was kidnapped and dead and god know what else when she was undressed and put in that suit.

Oh yeah, Peter Parker the fortunate son, the spectacular Selfish-Man. Only doing every sensible thing he can to help, what a complete asshole!

>Real MJ
>Drunk and upset over her coked up husband

Based retard

Wow, he really is just Professor Impossible

Ah, there it is.

You never could handle the real thing.

How is this offensive? Because he didn't want dr doom's autograph?

Guessing when he gave her away at the wedding

>Doing his taxes
>It's already after April 15th.

Yikes. That shouldn't have made it past first draft.

>YES HAHAHA YES!
t. Sicko

When can we expect the trade to hit? Because this is one I feel like I'd want a physical copy of.

Sometime next year would be my guess.

Yep, there's 6 issues like someone said, so we're definitely getting a 2010's issue.

Attached: smlifestory2019005_cov.jpg (1316x2000, 168K)

Civil War will most likely be the main focus but I hope we get some totem stuff in as well. Also please Last Stand suit.

Not really excited about the 2010s, but I liked what they've done in the first issues of this series, so I'll try to read it with an open mind

How old would Peter be?

Somewhere in his 60s I would imagine.

He was 15 in 1962. So he'd be 53 in 2000 and 62 in 2009.

>Be MJ
>Cucked by Gwen, takes consolation prize.
>Gwen dies
>Perhaps a chance
>Surprise Felicia
Would be cool.

The more I’m reading these the more I think each decade should’ve been a trade rather than an issue, it’s still gold but missing the smaller moments undercuts it a bit

Peter could have a thing with Felicia during the 80s. Despite Peter and MJ getting together it's definitely gonna be bumpy at first.

I think maybe two issues per decade. One of the problems I feel with modern books is sometimes stuff gets needlessly stretched out.

Actually based Reed

Wouldn't both of them be a little old for that steamy hormonal relationship they had?

Felicia was around during the 70's and 80's, but we don't know how much older or younger she is compared to Peter. For all we know Zdarsky might make her younger than Peter if it's implied Felicia started being the Black Cat in the late 70's.

Civil war with captain dying

Felica would probably be in her late twenties early thirties at the oldest here but with secret wars and kravens last hunt this issue we may not see her at all

Cap would be to old for it to be a surprise in civil war maybe his kid?

>Peter often neglects his normal life
Because the last time he put his normal life over his super life he lost the most important person in his life, because as it turns out, everybody is somebody to someone.

Honestly even in a more grounded story where it's something like you say, a woman admonishing her cop husband for putting himself in danger, it's not a very likable character trait.

I think you're just too bent on hating on Miles before giving him any sort of chance. Remember, there are no bad characters just bad writing. You legit hate Miles existence to the point you cant even accept any decent writing for the guy. Its sad and pathetic.

00s cover isnt quite as good as the other decades.

I’ve given him a chance for 9 years, despite his origin. Saladin is a good writer but the first thing he did when he got the title was bitch about white people. And his run followed suit, Miles is just a crack concept created by a Jew who fetishizes black people and his character just there to create ire in the fan base and make him royalties without making any effort.

>subtle 9/11 reference
Kino in the 2015 sense.

I think that depends on what we see in that issue. I thought the second issue was going to take place in the early 70's, But it turned out it took place in 1977, with the implication some other things from the 70's happened (Ock hooking up with May, Reed's marriage to Sue strained) but not the original death of Gwen or Norman. Everything's very much up in the air now.

Miles is literally the least political hero out there besides aliens who would have no concept of it. What are you talking about?

I thought this at first up until I realized it was a reference to 9/11 and the death of Captain America.

That depends on whether Zdarsky is going with the idea that the Super Soldier Serum slows down Captain America's aging, or not. If he ages normally then yeah, he'd be in his 60's (taking into account how he was on ice from the mid-40's to the early 60's). If the Super Soldier Serum slows down his aging, then he'd still be able to fight.

He is also the least original hero least interesting and least connected to the hero who’s legacy he’s supposedly taking on.

The star filled with read hints at Cap dying, and the obvious 9/11 reference.

Civil War will probably related to that.

Bruh, its the best one

How can one comic be so fucking based? I actually went out and bought a comic to support based Chip. I even bought Symbiote Spider-Man
