Spencer seems to have a very special attitude about the Spider-man world.

I've always felt like the essence to a good Lizard story is full grimdark BioHorror. Like the time he ate Billy, or if the Lizard woke up pregnant. You take sweet ol' Doc Connors, and you park him at the corner of Kafka-Esque Existential Nightmare and Geiger Fuck-My-Shit-Up Biohorror.

He's one of the few pure evil Spider-Man villains besides Norman and Cletus. Norman has the "I know who you really are" down, and Carnage is Richard Ramirez with Blacklight Virus

Lizard is ultra-territorial, ultra-dominant apex predator who wants to kill his rivals, eat his fill, and breed.

I dunno but I hope it ends soon. Im liking spencer for the most part, but does this stories really need to be 5 issues long? I mean what's really happened so far? A lot of this run time is either spent away from the main action or on alternating perspectives of the same shit. We could have knocked this down to 3 issues easy.

Maybe he's stalling so that Ramos will finally keel over and die, or at least leave ASM, so that the next story can have more consistent art?

I just looked at the solicits, and Hunted ends in April with Issue 20, then the next few issues are fallout.

I love this run, but it seems better fitted for a trade as opposed to floppies.
I haven't read comics in a while, but I get the feeling most stories are like this. I'd rater wait a few months for a complete story as opposed to 20 pages of possible updates or filler every month.
