However, he is probably in the top ten, because on a good day he can win against Bruce, who is also in the top ten. Thing is neither of them are the greatest hand-to-hand fighters in the DCU. Batman is scary because he cam defeat basically anyone with his combined skillset, prep time, and resources, and pull Sherlock Holmes bullshit while investigating. Nightwing is scary because he is almost as good in a fight, uses his agility to his advantage, has a lot of the same skills trained into him, and has more charisma in his little finger than Bruce and tends to run successful teams when the writers aren't either fucking him over or fucking his team over or fucking both over.
There is a reason people enjoyed DickBats runs so much. In a lot of ways DickBats reminds me a lot of Post-Crisis Batman raising Dick himself.

Dick is my favorite DC character and this is true. Him being the greatest leader has zero actual comic stories to back it up. So bizarre how this evolved into it. Everything he leads tends to be bad and none of the main JL heroes think of him that way. He's never going to lead over a Batman, Superman, or even Wonder Woman.
I'm more willing to see him as the best hand to hand fighter than the best leader based on comic evidence.
