Asked a girl if she wanted to dance at least he believed Stevonnie to be a girl

>Asked a girl if she wanted to dance at least he believed Stevonnie to be a girl
>Is the most reviled character in all of Steven Universe because of this

Steven didn’t wanna dance with that dude, also Kevin was a dick to our Lord and Savior Greg so he obviously never had a soul

He's a pushy dick, I hate him too. Also why the influx of SU threads today?

>He doesn't know about Kevin's character development

Probably magic

some autist is probably posting them all himself, the text style is similar in all the OPs

Either samefag or more people watched it late

>Steven didn’t wanna dance with that dude
Yes he did.
He was so buttblasted in the racing episode because he was mad that Kevin made him feel a gay feeling.

They wrote him OOC on purpose to make a point out of him being obsessed with Kevin. It was a stupid point, but the point remains.

He wasn't OOC he'd just never felt the gay feeling before, because he'd never had a twat before.
He wanted the Kevin.

Kevin I feel was made because they started making Lars more and more likable and felt they needed a new guy character for Steven to 'take down a notch'.

It's plausible. Thankfully the next time he showed up he was actually funny and a overall more likable character while still being kind of a dick. I put that down to Amber (who was a new boarder at the time) as opposed to Zuke who co-boarded Beach City Drift.

>Literally space Nazi who has destroyed an uncontable amount of planets
>"It's okay guys, she said she's sorry"
>Don't respect wome
>"REEEEE"

Suburban kids who lived sheltered lives and grown into adult children are responsible for this.

It's why intergalatic genocidal tyrants get redeemed: They've only learned about them through cartoons.

Bruh, if a girl doesn't want to dance. Just say: "Don't worry. Not a problem!" and sit down or ask someone else.

No need to be pushy, especially if you are actually a good dancer.

I thought Yea Forums loved tyrants? How times change.

He’s the true final boss of the series.
Intergalactic tyrants? They have nothing on a teenage male asshole.

I’m pretty sure there aren’t any intergalactic tyrants in real life either

That’s just what they want you to think.

Speaking of more leniency towards genocidal dictators than this dude, does anybody have that image of Steven forgiving Hitler?

I'm surprised so few picked up on this. I think his gay feeling was possibly from Connie being attracted to Kevin, and that feeling getting transferred to Steven while they're Stevonnie. Steven is potentially having to deal with not only feelin a little bit of jealousy because he knows Connie is attracted to Kevin, but also self-loathing because because he's stuck being attracted to Kevin too even though he doesn't want to.

one autist spamming

Connie hates Kevin though? The only reason she accepted the invitation to his party was on the off-chance Steven would be there.

I don’t see why people have problem with the Diamonds not being punished, they haven’t been redeemed yet, it’s more of a ceasefire

Honestly I don’t even think it’s Steven having feelings for a guy, it’s the fact that Kevin’s the guy

>I dont see why people have a problem with Himmler not being published, hes not been redeemed yet

So he started off as a pushy kinda prick who wouldn't take no for an answer but the show later revealed he's just an all around rich kid shit who's full of himself.

It's not like these kinds of people don't exist in the real world. It's a little surprising that --unlike Lars having the hidden depth or the cool kids being legitimately nice people-- that the only thing there is to know about Kevin is that he's an insecure asshole, but eh. Sometimes not everybody has more depth to them.

>Published
If only he'd gotten that book deal. If only...

Insecure asshole could describe literally every character in the show except maybe Greg

Not Onion

Not really fair to compare regular joes to the avatar of Chaos.

Well yes, but that's because he's the ultimate life form.

>So he started off as a pushy kinda prick who wouldn't take no for an answer but the show later revealed he's just an all around rich kid shit who's full of himself.

I don't like Kevin, but this is hardly the worst thing in the world. At the very least, this is hardly the worst thing anybody's done in this show.

Connie must know Steven felt kind of gay for Kevin, I mean that's the logical conclusion if you fuse, have a crush, and then it's gone again when you unfuse.

>no guy will ever aggressively ask you to dance with him because you're fat, short, and ugly

damn

Why do people watch this stuff? The artstyle is lazy as shit, and aside from Pearl and (purple gem girl name) the voice acting is amateur hour. Garnet and Steven sound like parodies. What's the hook to this show?

This show is a lesbian fantasy.

You either get it or you don’t

there's a lot of internal conflict and denial. it's kind of like when a Marvel symbiote sees a better potential host to merge with.

Because we were engaged with S1.

get in a trenchcoat with another midget.

Keven or even Stars would make such better protagonists and it makes me angry at the reality of SU.

Here is how I view the Kevin thing. It was an unusual situation so he had no frame of reference to deal with it. The combined minds in Stevonie were confused, annoyed. uncomfortable and angry at him for ruining their fun. which led to the whole over reaction that Steven displayed.

In contrast the situation with Peridot, Jasper or the diamonds literally trying to kill him is just his weekend. Spending time with the gems fighting the corrupted gems has stuff trying to kill him all the time. This dulls his emotional response to it. Everyone trying to kill him is just sadly normal to him which leaves his perspective a bit warped. Peridot tries to kill him, traps Pearl and Garnet in a box to try and shatter them but from his perspective that is just an average Wednesday. Being raised by the gems and put into life and death situations has really fucked up his childhood.

It sounds like you're saying Steven has little or no experience dealing with other normal humans.
Which isn't entirely accurate, yeah? I mean there's Peedee, Mr. Smiley, Ronaldo, Mr Fryman, Sadie, Lars and the fish stew pizza family...
He does have normal interactions with normal people in season 1 and evidently he's grown up around them.

I thought gays in gay bars are not this picky.

I see it in other cartoons sometimes, fighting monsters is no problem, social situations, the kid sucks

I don't hate Kevin. Hell, I ship him! With Stevonnie, and her rectum-wrecker of a futa penis.

Ok, being annoyed by pushy people is one thing but Steven still blew it out of proportion. The way that Kevin kept bugging Stevonnie was supposed to be a metaphor for sexual harassment but since this is a childrens show, they had to find a g-rated substitute hence Steven's visceral reaction to the whole incident. Unfortunately, the fact they had to tone it down just makes Steven come off as psycho.

>user doesn't understand post-irony

Sad!

It still makes no sense. Why didn't they just make Connie develop an unhealthy hatred of him? It would make much more sense. But then again, this show isn't known for making smart decisions.

That's SJW logic from a shitshow made by an Ideolooneytune

Despise what this board says, Steven is straight, he has a girlfriend and never show interest in a guy, the fact that a dude try to eye fuck him made him unconfortable and he can't deal with it.

Well, they can't destroy them since they lack the fire poder so diplomacy it is.

If you did, you thought the memes were sincere, and that's a dumb thing to do.

The writing, I guess. The art style is minimalist, but I like what they do with it when they want to show something cool. It's got that mix of quirky and comfy that triggers the fuck out of Yea Forums sometimes.

I agree. Kevin's demeanor was a different experience for him. And really, that whole episode kinda felt like an acid trip. His dialogue didn't feel real most of the time.

The only time Steven raised his voice was in that racing episode, which I chalk up to be misguided voice direction / writing overall. The rest of the episode had Stevonnie being mildly frustrated and ultimately learned to let it go.

Don't you get it, it was almost RAPE!

Kevin is unironically the best villain in Steven Universe
>actually an opposition to Steven's ideas
>sees sappy backstories as jokes and not reason to be friends
>manipulates people mentally and doesn't give a shit
>Stevonnie = Steven + Connie
>Kevin = Ceven = Connie + Steven
