Sad but true, the last good episode with her was the one where they found the cats.

Pearl and Peridot are voiced by people of east asian descent. There are no distinguishable features that clearly identify them as "ethnically white". Garnet is likely the highest ranking gem in popularity, given that her special episode served as the greatest source of interest during the show's initial significant spike in popularity. The best gem is Lapis.

Neither of her featured episodes this season have been about her and fusion. It was a pretty noticeable change in quality.

At the start of the show she was cool, but after the fusion reveal they made her increasingly less of a focus and like half of her dialogue became "By the way did you know that love is good?" I miss when she was the stoic character that showed affection in subtle ways.

sadly Garnet didn't really get her own outlook on the Rose=Pink situation, it was all Ruby and Sapphire. especially after Your Mother And Mine. her best episode as an individual was Pool Hopping.

I think that's still coming, I've heard Rebecca etc. talk about an event where Rose and Garnet made a "pact" about keeping secrets or something and there's a Garnet song coming up on S6. Could be bullshit, but it's something.

It's because she's the stable one. Fans of the show like Pearl for her neurotic-ness and Amethyst for her lazy, chill attitude.

Well for starters she is near perfect in personality compared to the cast so her relatability isnt there and she is a happy couple which usually kills shows if it’s a center focus because most people don’t want to watch happy couples being happy.

Technically a fight/argument. The Steven/Connie one had people bitching about it for months (and still to this day) so I guess that one is more valid than Greg standing up for himself.

Garnet is the first known fusion of different gem types, an appalling abomination to the Diamonds. Two gems unnaturally inflamed with one another.

Ruby and Sapphire represent Sodom and Gomorah, who God dedicated to destruction by fire. Only, Garnet can withstand fire.

Again, this is a metaphor of religion being unable to snuff out homosexuality.

They're uncredited but in a recent interview Swaray admitted she didn't sing Stronger Than You since it wasn't in her contract.

It's because they've traditionally given very little personality aside of being "cool." Until fairly recently, she's had little characterization that wasn't tied to Ruby and Saphire. She hasn't had much of a chance to be her own gem.

I hope we get to see some "real" Garnets outside of the video game. Would be nice to see her grow into a real one alongside some Hessonites or Demantoids.
