You know, when you think about it, she didn't actually do anything wrong. Steven Universe shouldn't have gotten mad at her.
You know, when you think about it, she didn't actually do anything wrong...
No one got mad at her
Steven did and so did a bunch of gems
still spending every day spamming the catalog with this shit show? get a life
Calling Steven by his whole name is kind of funny. Anyway which time are you talking about? Dewey Wins or Together Alone? Steven wasn't mad at her in either case.
Meant for
She was clearly dead weight to the crystal gems.
She is similar to Marco except that Nefcy is a shameless hack not ashamed of giving terrible random excuses to push him as useful like how watching a couple of kung fu tapes gave him super strenght.
>Knows Homeworld hates Fusion
>Knows this is the one chance they have to fix the corrupted gems
>Lol lets fuck on the dance floor
The Diamonds hate fusion and Steven is a Diamond, not to mention the fusion was accidentally and she basically apologized for it in Change Your Mind.
What is Marco's skilset anyway? Connie can fight on par with Pearl and levels out Steven's naive nature (as well as providing fusion material for Stevonnie). What does Marco do for Star? Honest question since I haven't watched more than 3 episodes of the show.
I thought she'd at least feel bad about it, considering she may have just gotten all the other Crystal Gems shattered. But nope we got the same ol' retard Connie.
>Okay, so, we tried the bubble and the shield and that window. What else have we got? Oh!... hey, my phone! Oh, wait. No reception.
worst yet, Steven even blames himself without Connie correcting him.
>I didn't think I'd get every Crystal Gem poofed at the same time...
Connies the shows worst character and only uses steven to see his magic, fuck you OP
Literally one post above you. Stop cherrypicking.
Retard's back again.
His skills come from watching 4 Karate tapes and playing hide and seek with Hekapoo for 20 years.
So he's able to perform superhuman feats because of that even though his body was not affected by the travels at all.
Tl dr: Nefcy is a hack and Marco is her husband Mary Sue self insert,
Nope
>retard
The only people with mental deficiencies here are the connie lovers
Marco was a Red Belt on karate and then spent like 50 years training in the Neverzone; an alternate dimension where he became some sort of barbarian who rides a dragon and has been knighted multiple times for saving several realms.
He has also been in several fights with Star and was able to master a martial art from a species that lives to brawl just by looking at it. The Neverzone is cannonically a brutal diemension and training there makes you super good at combat, albeit everything happened off-screen.
>tl;dr, Marco is the best human martial artist in his universe and has impressive stamina because he spent decades training
Best Girl
>Marco was a Red Belt on karate
He was trained by a faggot whose entire knowledge on Karate come from 4 tapes, his sensei was a fraud, he's not a real red belt.
>Literally one post above you. Stop cherrypicking.
???
I was just saying what literally happened, you made up that she apologized. Her screw up was given no attention. Steven blames himself for putting them all in this situation and Connie's as energetic as ever. Escapism was a terrible episode.
>BASICALLY apologized
Direct quotes or clips?
>50 years training in the Neverzone
That part was lazy, he somehow turned into a super soldier for playing hide and seek with Heekapo and there was never any explanation how he got those skills or how he even had time to do that since he was so obsessed on chasing her.
Plus the fact his body didn't keep any of the experiences in that dimension but he was still able to do superhuman feats of strenght and speed.
She was better in the earlier episodes, but yeah.
He trained digilently though. He could've been his sensei's sensei, if that makes any sense.
He has the memories and experience of all those years. He simply de-ages when he goes back to another dimension. The lazy part is that it all was done in half an episode and offscreen.
Jesus the fuck is that getup on Steven? How did they get away with showing such unapologetic propaganda?
>how dare a popular show get discussed a bunch
Don't like it don't show it to you kids. SU made its intentions clear day one. It's not like AT where it got fucked later
he put on his dead mom's clothes to help in his quest to convince his aunts to come home with him and fix the colony of literal retard gems by collectively sweating on them
>Propaganda
Overreaction much?
>What is Marco's skilset anyway?
He used to be the normal guy who knew how the human world worked so star doesn't die by poking an electrical socket or get arrested for some misunderstanding. His fighting skills where there just so he wouldn't be a rehash of Ron Stopable from Kim Possible.
it was really out of character for connie. s1 connie would have been horrified if her actions protentially got steven's family shattered.
it's a pierrot/harlequin outfit, don't be such a clown
>Puts on his dead mom's clothes
And Steven is supposed to be mentally sound?
No it's not, it's COMPLETELY in character for Connie. Her entire arc in the show was her becoming more rebellious and and less rigid when it came to rules. You guys love Season 2 so much, you should remember that this was a plot point in Sworn to the Sword.
His clothes were taken from him and his mother's former servants made him a new outfit styled after what she wore because everyone on Homeworld believed Steven was Pink in a different form. He's not Norman Bates.
And just to further this point: Yes, it was a reckless action. It's treated as such in the show (she admits she shouldn't have done it in Change Your Mind to Blue Diamond) but there was never any worry about the gems being shattered. They might have put Pink in "time out" but the gems were still bubbled safely and kept by Yellow Diamond.
If anyone was at fault, and again this is addressed in the show, it's Steven for coming to Homeworld WITHOUT A PLAN. It's not Connie's fault when the one who brought her wasn't thinking things through either.
Well, more like a recreation of her outfit tailored to him but yeah
her doing it is fine, even though it's a bit hard to swallow how she doesn't realize the gravitas of the situation especially after Blue just got done calling her a pet. but whatever. it's a 900IQ callback to Alone Together, I'm fine with it she's a kid yadayada. but the point the user was making completely flew over your mind
>s1 connie would have been horrified if her actions protentially got steven's family shattered.
the problem was she didn't give a shit after they were imprisoned. At least show Connie feeling guilty or a noticeable change in her disposition. The show doesn't have the self-awareness to do this—Connie can basically never be wrong. It is FINE that some people don't like Escapism, you don't need to sperg at every single person who has that opinion.
I think this is more a case of her being supportive to Steven rather than actively the writers avoiding blaming her. It takes two people to fuse and Steven was the one who took them to Homeworld in the first place. She basically apologized next episode anyway, even if (only IMO) she really didn't need to. But whatever, she was playing the diplomacy game and I guess she failed a throw.
Based.
Dumping
I just would've liked it if Connie had...better dialogue I could say? Something like
>I didn't think I'd get every Crystal Gem poofed at the same time...
>No Steven... it's my fault. But we'll get out of this. We always do!
shouldering some of the guilt for Steven who just has too much on his plate right now. She didn't apologize in Change Your Mind either, the only time it's brought up is Steven defending the act from Blue which is fine. It just feels like they're using a very er basic version of Connie throughout these episodes. I'm not really peeved at it though.
She said it was her idea to fuse which is an admission of guilt in my eyes, but again it's moot since it worked out anyway. Your dialogue tweak probably would've smoothed things out better.
>don't breed with your bitch
What did he think would happen?
Steven is gay as fuck.
>Libertarian right
>"MY" Pearl
Connie was a fucking mistake, at least making her as important as she became was. Same with Amethyst
Amethyst was obnoxious as fuck in the first season. Character development is the best thing that ever happened to her
Getting more rebellious and independent from your overprotective mother does not mean you loose all regard for your actions and how they affect the people you care about.
>Connies the shows worst character and only uses steven to see his magic
Didn't she say this in the 1st season:
>You don't need powers to be with me, Steven.
And then when he called and only wanted to hang out she had no time unless they could go on a magical adventure. Or when she was mad when he diddn't take her on his expected execution.
Fictional characters are capable of saying one thing but doing another outside of bad writing.
>SU made its intentions clear day one.
You mean cookie cat was propaganda all along?
Fat propaganda maybe
She was shopping for school supplies which is kind of important for an obviously advanced student and the other thing is a flat out lie. She was mad because he broke his promise.
