ITT: We fix comic book movies

>Replace Andrew Garfield with a younger actor like Logan Lerman
>Make them act more like a nerd before the Spider-bite
>After being bitten is when he starts acting like a douchey hipster
>Conduce the origin story to about half a hour
>Change the villain from the Lizard to the Kingpin with Uncle Ben's killer being one of his lower level thugs (let's pretend Sony got the rights to Daredevil and Kingpin)
>Keep the stuff with Flash and Captain Stacy

>ITT: We fix comic book movies
Animate them. Less budget needed, no big name cock sucks walking off with 10 million dollar checks for a scene, and no need for synergy around every corner.

Everything you just said is revolting. The movie is fine as it is.

Watchmen...
> Take what we got...
> Replace Ozz's actor with Aaron Eckhart
> Replace Malin (silk 2) with Lynn Collins or Hayley Atwell
> Remove slow mo in the fight scenes.
> Tone down most of the cast's fighting abilities.
> Make Dan just a bit more bumbling & lonely.
> Make the sex scene more primal & passionate, less cringy.
> Add 10-20 more minutes to the film to further flesh out the cast besides Ror & Manhattan.
> Remove the laser gun & genetically altered tiger, they don't fit without the Octopus.

>This movie could be a different take on Peter showing a Brash,Rude and overall Trash Teenager change into the Peter we know.
>he changes after the scene where he gives his mask to the boy on the bridge.
>that's also the first time he calls himself Spider-Man

Based

MOS...

> Remove the "maybe" line, instead have Pa say "your missing the point" and then go into further detail about his concerns about humanity throwing a fit if godly powerful aliens are revealed to exist so viewers wouldn't dismiss his motives as being selfish.

> Added 1 or 2 fully positive memories Clark has with his dad.

> Remove the smashing of the trucker's truck.

> Tornado Scene - Have Pa say out loud to Clark, stay with your mom keep them safe when he goes to get the dog, have Pa get to his feet outside the truck at the exact same time as Clark gets Martha & the girl to the underpass so it doesn't seem like Clark is just standing around doing nothing. Have Pa wave Clark off and Clark hesitate only for a second and Pa is immediately swept away so it's clear he would absolutely had to have used his speed to save him.

> Have Clark look up right before he crashes into Smallville and try and turn away but it's too late, making clear that it was accidental them going into town.

> Remove kiss, just have them hug after surviving the black hole, or at the least I would have removed the joke about relationships going down hill.

> Remove Clark jumping over the oil truck and instead just have Zod throw it at him and it explodes around him & destroys the parking garage.

> After killing Zod & hugging Lois's belly, Clark gets to his feat and states he that he has to go help people and we get a long montage of him saving people from the rubble, using his hearing to find people.

> Remove Lois & Jenny degrading Lombard for asking for a date after he was willing to stay and die if he couldn't get Jenny free.

BVS...

> Shown Clark to having wrapped his arm around the dictator before blowing him through the wall so we know he didn't kill him.

> Batman doesn't kill anyone during the car chase.

> It's revealed he wasn't aware of the Bat Brand directly getting people killed in prison.

> Clark gets some happy scenes before the senate hearing. Him, Lois & Martha eating diner would be nice and would add to the ladies interactions at the end.

> Keep the savior montage footage we got but add 1 or 2 more savings were he is shown being friendly with the person he saved.

> Lex is bald from the beginning. Tone down his fidgeting & odd tics, remove life saver moment, have him be more openly charismatic in the Galla & not have that spazing out moment.

> Remove Flash's portion of the Knightmare sequence.

> Have the JL cameo footage play over the credits instead of interrupting the film.

> When Clark gives Bruce his ultimatum have him states "Mr Wayne, I am sorry for what happened to Wayne tower, it is for that reason alone that I am not dragging you to the police this night, consider this mercy".

> Have Clark try to reason with Bruce after the 1st dose of Kryptonite wears off but Bruce goes for another grenade and Clark is forced to tackle him down.

> Better rendering on Doomsday during the final battle, he looked solid when he 1st emerged from the birthing chamber but the CGI quality degrades once Wonder Woman enters the fight.

> Doomsday grows spikes to the level he has in the comics.

No, no it's not

Yeah it is. Replacing Garfield alone is an atrocity.

Andrew Garfield was a great Peter Parker/Spider-Man and I will not concede that.

>replace Andrew Garfield as the first point
Immediately disregarded, he works fine as an actual Peter Parker which translates to being a good Spider-Man.

... And this is why Yea Forums doesn't work on Hollywood.

>> Remove slow mo in the fight scenes.
>> Tone down most of the cast's fighting abilities.

Fucking this.
The fact that they did this only shows they had no idea what they were dealing with. One of the aspects of the "deconstruction" that watchmen did to the genre of superhero comics was just that, using real life fighting moves and toning it down, nothing flashy.

For GotG Vol 2:

>No Ego, instead Starfox/Eros as the father of Star-Lord, Peter would be half-Eternal.
>Starfox is played by Kevin Bacon.
>Considering he can basically control and manipulate emotions, Mantis would make more sense to the plot as his assistant.
>Also Eros with multiple lovers makes more sense than Ego.
>Star-Lord and Gamora would be "cousins"
>Magus would be the main villain, they defeat him with love... using Mantis and Eros powers combined
>Thanks to that, they recruit a good version of Magus, called Adam Warlock.
>Adam is part of Infinity War and Endgame.

You're welcome!

Infinity War

>a trilogy
>First film should be Thanos-centric film without him interacting the Avengers as he travels between galaxies in search of the gems
>Throughout the film, we get a glimpse of flashbacks of Thanos' life in Titan as well as his first introduction to Death herself when he was younger.
>He continually debates Mistress Death and his never-ending folly to court her, much to her enabling.
>Eventually he meets Adam Warlock, an "old friend" and retells subtly of their fight against Magus long ago and confides in his philosophies as well as he is his only friend.
>Adam tries to persuade Thanos that his endeavour is not only fruitless but the wanton destruction it brings is to the benefit of no one, even in his own quest and that being the sole keeper of the gems and guarding it from other people's hands is improbable due to his worsening mental state.
>Adam is cautious of his old friend and eventually asks about Gamora, to which Thanos does not answer as his obsession with Death has always clashed between his love for his favourite adoptive daughter .
>He laments the neglect and burden he put upon his daughter but is convinced that she is better off away from his increasing madness.
>The film also shows Thanos acquiring the gems but does not wage genocidal wars from planet to planet but instead just walks in and grabs them from the Collector and from Vormir but ponders why the Soul stone is inert
>In the film's final moments, Thanos now invades Xandar to the surprise of Adam and learns of his plan to wipe out a swath of the universe's population as justification for galactic peace and renewed prosperity due to an inevitable population excess that will only bring more endless wars in the pursuit of hording the last of the resources but Adam knows that deep down it is his last ditch attempt to appease his mistress

>A distress signal is sent out as the Xandarians ,with Adam now rallying them together, in an effort to stop Thanos' plans.
>Cut to a ship that has just left Xandar after refueling, It's the Asgardians and there is a comedic scene where they should go back and help the Xandarians.
>They do.
>The Black Order and Thanos then battles the Asgardians and Hulk in the ruins of Xandar, as Adam warns that if he succeeds here, Earth is next.
>As the dust settles and thunder roars, Thanos and the Black Order decisively wins and grievously wounds Adam, whom he expresses regret for his betrayal but is not surprised as he reveals that brought him here to kill him and that he was in turmoil all this time in contemplating in slaying his only friend.
>Thanos acquires the Tesseract as a dying Heimdall teleports everyone away from harm's way back to Earth to warn the Avengers.
>Thanos acquires the Tesseract and crushes it as he stands upon the death and ruin with Death on his side.

End of Part I

The way to fix this movie is literally just putting the deleted scenes in
Uncle Ben doesn't die because he's a retard and his death is way more impactful, Connors has his son and has a way more believable motive (and he actually goes to check in on pete after Ben dies), it feels more personal.
I do think the whole vigilante with a personal vendetta could be cut too, but him turning into a proper hero with the mask scene was really cool(Also ffs make him say "your friendly neighborhood Spider-man" when the dad asks who he is)
Also use the costume from the second movie and limit the parents storyline to being the indian dude being the one responsible for their deaths and connors just fucking kills him at the end. Done.
This movie could've seriously been a GREAT Spidey movie, but the studio just fucked it up

Shazam

>make it so that Sivana's dad dies in the crash and therefore his brother takes over the company, leaving Sivana with the scraps and making his brother the victim of Greed in the boardroom slaughter scene
>give Sivana two or three extra scenes of screentime to establish his character before he goes on a superpowered tantrum for the rest of the flick
>give the Sins different colors and more distinguished designs so we can tell who's who

And that's about it really.
I just got back from Shazam and I really enjoyed it but I found Sivana to be really lame and dissappointing, and I think he could have been a pretty great villain if developed better.

Garfield himself was fine, the writing was the problem (chocolate milk, needless prolonged revenge subplot etc)

Give Lizard a damn snout and lab coat

In hindsight because of the MCU, maybe just jump into him being Spider-Man, but that doesn't mean I want Homecoming with Garfield

>Uncle Ben doesn't die because he's a retard
Explain

The biggest problem with the TASM series is the "Peter's parents vs Oscorp" theme, as nobody cares about his real parents and Aunt May and Uncle Ben should be more important

There's an alternate version where he spots the robber walking down a dark alleyway and mistakes him for Peter (they have similar height, builds and jackets). So he runs after the robber calling out "Peter!", the robber panicks and shoots him dead.

continue, user

Huh, neat. Although I don't get why everyone gets so riled up about the chocolate milk context anyway. It shows that Peter making one bad decision haunts him forever and that uncle Ben is an upstanding citizen who practiced what he preached, just like it should be.

>Have David Fincher direct it like he wanted to.
ftfy

Martin Sheen was perfect as Uncle Ben. Everything else about TAS sucked.

I'm at work right now and when I wrote that I was half awake so gimme a couple of hours.
But Thanos in the MCU so far has really left a sour taste in my mouth of how much of a missed potential he is.

>David Fincher
>it now become a psychological thriller for some reason and kids watching it will ask mum and dad what Peter and Gwen are doing under his sheets
You're fired, user.

> the movie is fine as it is
That’s funny user

How would you fix TAS 2 OP?

Based except for the truck smashing part

Based

After credits scene:

>The Bifrost bridge drops a weary Thor, cut up Hulk and dying Adam Warlock in New Mexico
>Thor is reeling in from the shock from how The Black Order and Thanos easily dispatched them and grabs Adam Warlock with whatever strength left he has and demands some answers from him.
>Adam, grasping his wound from Corvus Glaive and bruises from Thanos, tells him that this world is now doomed and warns them that a worldwide evacuation is imperative
>Thor leaves him on the dirt and has a near break down, contemplating how Loki's last sacrifice saved his life in the battle from Proxima Midnight's lance and is still recovering from Supergiant's psychic attack.
>Hulks healing factor is shown here as he rapidly regenerates from his seemingly fatal injuries from Black Dwarf and Ebony Maw.
>He tells both of them that "We need to...call Tony"

>In the prologue, we learn Luthor's father died in the fight with Zod
>Batman hasn't killed or branded anyone yet, his struggle is juggling the decision to kill Superman. The fact that he's even considering it makes him hate Superman even more.
>Helen Hunt Senator initially endorses commission of anti-meta weapons from Lex
>Wheelchair guy is now John Corben. He pulls out some kind of weapon at hearing against Supes to try to kill him or at somebody. Ends up almost killing Senator Helen Hunt but Superman intervenes.
> Helen Hunt withdraws anti-Superman stance
> Lex's company is bleeding itself dry with all the goodwill work and rebuilding projects. His father is dead. Now his latest, possibly most lucrative business venture is in the shitter. Every problem roots at Superman, much more personal motivation instead of Lex being mad at God or whatever
>Lex continues research on Kryptonite (which in this version is the energy core of Zod's ship), even though prolonged exposure is making him sickly, causing him to lose his hair
>Lex manages to reverse-engineer kryptonian energy core, makes prosthetics/exosuit for Corben
>Bruce steals the kryptonite as he does in the original
>Fight goes about the same, until Superman says they're going to kill his mother. It's Lois who calls her Martha, but by then, Batman has already been intrigued because dead parents
>Villain at the end is Metallo, not Doomsday. Superman dies shielding Metropolis from the explosion of the unstable kryptonite energy core.

Maybe not better, but more comprehensible.

>he works fine as an actual Peter Parker
He didn't work as Peter Parker though.

Why are trying to give Luthor a sympathy angle?

No, just make his grudge a little more understandable than the childish, weird explanation the movie had.

I think the movie did fine in subtly explaining why Luthor is so averse against authority and especially a Superman one.

This wouldn't fix everything, but-
>Tone down Max eccentricities, make him a genuinely lonely guy and vocal Spidey supporter, not an obsessive manchild nerd
>Harry, wearing a mask as a disguise, steals glider and suit after finding out about the secret projects on his own. There's no serum to fuck up his face.
>He then busts Max out of prison after getting his gear. More explicitly commands Max to get Spider-Man's blood. Since there's no serum, he still needs it.
>There's some kind of dialogue between Electro and Spider-Man, or introspection between Peter and Gwen after Electro dies to close up Max's arc, even if he barely has one. as is, he's a mentally ill, confused man and Peter's aware of it and just wastes him and goes about his day like a sociopath.
>Harry never attacks, but we learn he has disappeared from public view without a trace by the epilogue. We see him tinkering with the stolen gear as a sequel tease.
>Gwen either doesn't die yet. Maybe her death can be the rising action of the next movie.
