One (1) person took it upon herself to have a whopping $80,000 Kickstarter to bring this to fruition, it turned out to be a scam, nothing came of it, and no one knows what happened with the roughly $10,000 that was raised.

That short wasn't so bad, sure it was a little edgy but the animation and designs were nice. The "boy" voiced by a girl secretly biologically female could've been cool or they could've gone full gay (if they had manned him up some and gave him a male VA or a female who could do a male voice).
The reason Hazbin Hotel is cringe is because the designs are awful, the concept is dumb and over the top, the musical numbers are torture and the creator is kind of a bitch with ADHD.
