Shit Peter

>shit Peter
>shit Gwen (Emma Stone is cute tho)
>absolutely fucking shit Harry
>shit Elektro
>shit Norman
>shit Rhino

Does this deserve to be ranked alongside Steel and Electra as the worst of the genre?

It's bad, but nowhere near Catwoman or Spawn bad.

No. Stop trying to make mediocre movies out to be the absolute worst.

Please don't lump Spawn in with Catwoman.

Absolutely

It was better than Homecoming by far

>shit Peter
Best Peter actually. He felt like a young guy who loved being Spider-Man. That's Peter.

Not to mention:
> shit cgi
> shit music choices
> shit costumes besides the GOAT Spidey costume
> Gwen's dumb death scene
> Uninspired action
> That dumb ending

Had I not been with friends, I would have walked out about halfway through.

web hand

It was actually pretty good, no matter how how Yea Forums incels and normalfags seethe.

Good lord, son. Read ANY comic.

>It was better than Homecoming by far
I hope you're joking

Comics' Peter is nothing like Homecoming Peter either, son.

Yeah at least post the best Peter we've gotten in years

>Feige offered notes that would have saved this movie and kept Spidey solely in Sony's hands but they were too proud to listen

Except Ho:Co peter is just ultimate peter but no where near as angsty

You hate brown people, we get it

It looks pretty, that's something. Movies like Steel and Elektra were bad in literally every single way.

His notes were pretty hit-or-miss.

John Leguizamo was pretty good in Spawn.

The angst is part of suffering man. It is an aspect of him

Homecoming isn't that great but please. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is garbage and should have been burned.

It's overstuffed so underdeveloped in parts and too busy in others but it's not 'shit' - that just your shitty opinion, son

this

>shit cgi
>Literally the best swinging scenes
>The best CGI suit and physics out of all Spidey movies
>God tier webs and web-shooter effects
You can say a ton of shit about the ASM movies, but the way they used CGI in them was fucking amazing and miles above most super hero movies that have been coming out lately
Fuck, this scene right here youtube.com/watch?v=gNPy_CO4zqA is one of the best comic book scenes in a movie and i've only seen something as cool lately in the Spider-man PS4 game. If only the rest of this movie could've been this good

are we going to pretend that AS1 was a good movie?

Fuck off Digi

TAS1 was better than Spidey 3 desu

What were the notes?

>There are too many story lines and we need to choose which ones we are focusing on and lift out the other ones, ie; could reduce father arc to just Roosevelt?
>Could cut out plane crash and Richard destroying spiders and start on armored car – don’t start with Spider-Man….let the danger/stakes to NYC build first and then have Spider-Man enter the scene heroically.
>Tone down Paul Giamatti performance, so he seems a bit more menacing and less cartoonish.
>If you cut Richard from the opening and the plane crash maybe you could instead do Harry coming home and seeing Norman at the top of the movie as a cold open.
>Really love Electro – feels like you may not need the scene in his apartment, which makes him seems completely crazy and hard to relate too.
>Like the idea that eel goes in his mouth and instead of burrowing, you see it glow within him…
>Need to set up the Power Plant earlier, visually.
>Seems like the movie switches pov’s a lot…why are we in Max’s pov during the car chase, worth looking at this playing out from Spidey’s pov.
>There could be a better way to reveal that Peter is missing graduation – maybe when you cut Gwen you cut to the wide shot?
>Tiny note – don’t think Peter would lie to Gwen about sirens --- maybe he just downplays it…
>Stan Lee Cameo – maybe need a little more emphasis on Peter here trying to get out of his costume and not be in seen…set up a little more the pressure of the principal getting closer and closer to calling his name.
>Instead of seeing the ghost of Captain Stacy, can just here the voice in Peter’s head and maybe flash back to the last movie? Don’t think we should add Cap Stacy back into car chase.
>There is too much back and forth with Peter and Gwen – can we recut the Dim Sum scene so that it doesn’t feel so repetitive of their break-up in the last movie – Can Peter be more honorable and definitive and less wishy-washy?
>Why do we need a year to pass…

>Harry story feels like the main plot of the movie – Peter should look into the past b/c of Harry – maybe find some photos of them together as kids…use obsession wall more to set up this part of his past not just what happened to parents.
>Not sure what Peter learns at Roosevelt is entirely correct. We’re distracted by the idea that Peter became Spider-Man b/c of his father’s blood --- all this special back story with his super-scientist dad fights with the idea that Peter is normal kid from Queens who becomes the greatest super-hero in the world…
>Andrew’s performance is all over the place…a lot of crying and then a lot of mania. Hard to track him emotionally sometimes. It undermines his reaction to Gwen’s death b/c he gets upset and emotional a lot.
>Don’t like the idea that May tells Peter his parents were spies b/c two seconds later he finds out they are not and it again fights with the idea that he’s an ordinary kid.
>Like the idea that May finds out he’s Spider-Man – finds his costume instead of just the rosemary harris wink-wink all the time.
>Kind of like the morgue, but hate the dancing mortician – cliché.
>Are you using VFX to show how Electro is travelling from one point to another (bursts of electricity).
>Need to underscore capture of goblin…more sirens as you linger on the clock 1;21, 1:22 am (nice touch).
>Surveillance scene should be about following Harry not Peter…no one should be following Peter.
>Can Electro hum Itsy-Bitsy Spider before he plays it electronically…maybe we can use this again.
>Maybe intercut the ending montage and hearing Gwen’s speech with someone going into special projects and revealing more easter eggs and see that the rhino case has been broke into and the suit is missing…great way to transition to rhino ending.
>Don’t need Aunt May in the kitchen.
>Spider-man needs to feel more directly responsible for preventing the planes from crashing.
>Don’t show New Yorkers looting.

No. I rewatched Spider-Man 3 to be sure. Peter is a bit out of character for the early part of the film and MJ is still a hoe. There are too many subplot that aren't fleshed out well enough and Venom and his actor looks like garbage. It's still better than those movies just by being in the world Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 set up.

>Spider-man needs to feel more directly responsible for preventing the planes from crashing.
This bothers me because the plane and the hospital parts during the final Electro fight is retarded.

Not that user but yeah. I assume they were too melded in to edit out, despite being pointless overall, so Feige was suggesting damage control.

>Why do we need a year to pass…
Is this in relation to her death or the break up?

>>shit Elektro
\that dubstep everytime he uses his powers is pure artistic genius, makes sense and is already enough to excuse this Joel Schumacher-esque take on Max Dillon

Also TASM2 has soul.

this
"I am Spider MEEEH"
wow

>Co peter is just ultimate peter
no, he is white washed OG Miles, only thing of U Pete in him is jhis skin colr, sometimes his hair style and the fact that Tom is Spider-Man fan himself

And? Nothing will change, he is still correct

lmao, truth hurts doesn't it?

>Surveillance scene should be about following Harry not Peter…no one should be following Peter.
wasn't a plot point that Oscorb was obsessed with Peter?

>but yeah. I assume they were too melded in to edit out,
You could easily lose those plot points and lose literally nothing.

They were constantly intercut with the actually imporant parts. It'd seem chopped up and even worse than it currently is

>dumb ending
I dont like the movie as a whole but the manhole cover scene was kino

>>shit Peter
Are you retarded? Of all shitty stereotypical OCs we saw on big screen that one is closest to the real Peter.
>>shit Gwen (Emma Stone is cute tho)
She is the only good love interest that has been in any Spider-man movie. Her personality actually has redeeming unlike Dunst and she has agency of her own unlike what's her name whose main purposew was tp show interest in Peter.

>>absolutely fucking shit Harry
And yet, he and Peter actually have chemistry and seem like people who genuinely like each other, unlike what we have in Raimi films where it was obvious that their entire 'friendship' is just Harry using that pathetic loser to look good and have a free tutor maybe.

>Peter is a bit out of character
Entire Maguire's character is so far from how either 1610 or 616 Peter act and react he might as well be OC. That's not 'a bit'.

Sure. Which one do you want me to pull? The one where Peter goes swinging to hide away from his personal problems and the one where he relieves the stress by hitting things with proportional strength of a spider?

I feel bad for Paul Giamatti, he was all over the advertising for this movie but he literally only shows up for the last three minutes. He didn't even know until he saw the final cut.

>Does this deserve to be ranked alongside Steel and Electra as the worst of the genre?

No, Catwoman, Electra and Steel are still the worst cinecomics.
ASM2 was mediocre.

>Don’t show New Yorkers looting
eh?

People would be looting during the Electro blackout.

MCU Spidey seems like he'd like it if he wasn't trying so hard to impress daddy.

I don't remember Electro pulling a blackout. Guess I should watch it again some time.

Breakup.
