I only skim these threads because I'm WAY behind and it's really easy to avoid plot points, but I haven't seen any significant bitching except for the author under-utilizing certain side characters and philistines bitching about Paz.

That would be fine. Annie-on-Annie interactions have been the best parts of the last few chapters. Shame it won't happen.

The pacing is pretty awful, which is made way way worse if you're dumb enough to read it as it gets trickled out instead of building up a backlog.
But yeah, mostly memes.
