I knew a guy like this in high school whose instagram account was literally just shilling for Nintendo games and almost nothing else (Aside from some shows and some other prime autist bait.) He just fucking copied and pasted random wiki entries for games he played like they were news amd events worth sharing with the world when those who would care already knew miles ahead anyway, just adding to the list of people who didn't care about him. To my knowledge he still does this regularly.
We use autism as a blanket term on this site when someone clearly cares way too much about a topic and gets angry or whatnot. Actual autism is arguably worse. It turns many of these people into unwitting and free shills for corporations when no one's even listening at all. It's just the life they live and they don't know better, for all they know they're just always in their happy place surrounded by the imaginary characters they hold dear. In a somehow worse world I bet an entire planet of this would be heaven for media corporations. You could argue we're already there, but trust me when I say it could be way WAY worse than some rebbit kid going :o at some teaser trailer for Star Wars.

It's even worse considering I knew this kid for most of my life. We even were friends to some extent when I was much younger. But as I grew older I realized he wasn't. I'm genuinely concerned about how he's doing now, he acted a literal child back in High School, always throwing hissy fits whenever something slightly didn't go his way or walking up to random people in the hallway telling us about the latest Mario game he got or whatever. A lot of us laughed at him and rightfully so I guess when you consider this stuff is just plain bizarre when placed with a bunch of "normal" people in the same place or whatever. I have these autistic thoughts too, my (Crossover) characters are all in one imaginary 'series' where in an alt-universe they have their own author, updates and releases, fandom and forums, everything. It's as much about the flow of the narrative and story as it is about the imaginary 'fans' watching in my mind and all of them reacting to the imaginary work constantly.
