thats note true
Joseph Loeb’s son died of bone cancer
Due to the ironclad nature of a disney work contract, Disney owns any drawings of any disney characters by any employees of the company.
Animators and Artists are known to try to rebel against this rule by drawing mountains of porn of disney characters. Disney just quietly locks it all up in a vault that you will never have access too.
this is stupid and you know it
Rob Paulsen goes to furry conventions.
Star vs is forever ruined and daron nefcy hasnt been killed for damaging it yet
Cant get anymore depressing than this
It's an abandoned medium seen as inferior by almost everyone. To the average moviegoer it's no different than silent or black and white films, which means it will pretty much never make a "comeback".
>t. american
user, the future is a really long time. Like, really, infinitely long. If you really think that about 100 years worth of 2D animation is all there's ever gonna be, when we have yet to even scratch the surface of the limitless timeline in front of us, then you're just wrong.
I will always remember this, starting with Korra (a character so ugly she makes Olive Oil look like Betty Rubble in comparison) theres been this thing that you can't make female characters look attractive *cough*Rita Loud*cough* and it's sickening.
We need attractive women back in cartoons.
Rita louds hot, the androgony mascots in dyke ra however arent
I feel like I'm the only one that likes Dyke-Ra, ironically the old one looks like a manface drag queen to me
Korra could also be hot too, it's just that on model they're ugly.
>That one time anons through a fucking fit because She-Ra had the body of someone who was trained to fight since birth and not someone who looks like they're cosplaying sailor moon at a halloween party
All those fans for anime, all that hype for the stuff they produce, and they will never make a single film or theatrical short that can even compete with Western animation’s high standard
Follow-up depressing fact: all it would have taken to keep 2D movies alive was for people to give the MLP movie a fair shake, but nooooo gotta be all autistic about that and pretend it was worse than emojis.
That's some serious shit taste you have there.
>dyke ra fans
If you like no tits man face then youre a faggot with shit taste, there is no getting around that fact
>west
>standards
The last decade has shown that we are in fact regressing and lowering standards.
It goes further back, its future was staked on what was probably the least focus tested movie in history
You're not the only one, there's just a couple of Barneyfag types that spam threads about She-ra whenever they have the chance.
I just like tomboys, but I admit bending an existing feminine character into one wasn't the smartest idea. I didn't watch either series, I just appreciate from afar.
>implying this would've actually benefitted the industry
If what you're saying is that the future of animation is that every single movie should basically be Barney's Great Adventure: The Sequel ad inifinitum, then I don't see any reason why you shills belong on this earth if you're going to support non-challenging dumbed-down garbage that infects nations. If a modern-day Hitler equivalent existed in the present day, I'd convince him to gas each and every one of your kind ASAP.
>but I admit bending an existing feminine character into one wasn't the smartest idea.
At least we agree on that
Why is that? Besides "I was spoiled by anime".
Both looks like shit, to be honest.
Loud House is garbage, even by western animation standards.
kids today google, not giggle. they play angry birds instead of getting angry AT birds. they all have an ipad but no iq. not even one. they playstation but they never play station. i.e. one pretending to be a train and the others pretending to be different trains or low paid maintenance workers. they’re obsessed with one direction, rather than enjoying all eight directions equally. facebook… but unable to face… a book. or a hoop with a stick. a lost generation. the tv show.
>Looking back seven years later, Lasseter told Variety: "I was determined to bring back [hand-drawn animation] because I felt it was such a heritage of the Disney studio, and I love the art form … I was stunned that Princess didn't do better. We dug into it and did a lot of research and focus groups. It was viewed as old-fashioned by the audience.
I know.
At least it did 3 times it's budget.
Let me guess, you don't count anime.
>Walt Disney Studios' marketing department had warned Disney Animation that the word "princess" in the title "would lead moviegoers to think that the film was for girls only," but the animation studio's management insisted on keeping the "princess" title because they truly believed that the film's excellent quality and beautiful hand-drawn animation would bring in all quadrants anyway.
Woops, assuming the movie going public aren't retards is never a winning strategy.
Now if they had gone with the original "less girly" title of "Beyond Equestria" I guarantee they would have tippled their profit and critics wouldn't have written off the movie without even watching it due to association with the stereotype of the franchise.
>critics wouldn't have written off the movie
It would've failed anyway: they know that it's literally irredeemable garbage that only the most corporate of corporate hacks could cobble together. It's the same reason Barney's Great Adventure flopped: no one wants unchallenging insipid garbage.
>high standard
Which is?
>White people think women who train can't also have feminine bodies
God I fucking hate you people so much.
here's a more depressing fact
>78% of american cartoons and TV shows will never be in real HD
/capeshit/ still doesn't exist
