Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai. In the second half of Hokashi, Usagi and co. have encountered a band of assassins on their way to Kitanoji temple. It's time for confrontation, sad goodbyes, and all the goodies at the end of the book!
This might be my favorite page in the series, something about how the assassin can be so fast and skilled, but beaten so fast just because he didn’t think to go for the wakazashi first. Their skills are so close yet he is still leagues below Usagi
confirmed count is up to 3. What is the ultimate plan for that, though? Where does it go from here? Perhaps it's wrapped up until a meeting is called and it adorns their space.
Really, a lot of Jotaro's predicaments could have been over easily if he could run faster.

Will they ever just tell each other?

That would seem like a good final issue.

In sensho. Just as he dies.

Good, the power of salvation and god will save them all, but seriously considering all the Japanese mythology exists in Usagi it’s not crazy to say the biblical Judeo-Christian god is real here, be cool if we get the power of Christ vs Jei or some cool confirmation of biblically accurate angels showing up
I'm having trouble trying to figure out if this motherfucker is Batman or Robin Hood. I mean, he steals from the rich and gives to the poor, but he very clearly has a no-kill rule, dresses in all-black, and disappears whenever someone's back is turned.
Juan Robinson
Goemon Ishikawa. Dumbass.

Dog I don't know shit about Japanese folklore/history. Interesting dude from what I just found out about him though.

>The best place for sushi in that town is the where the kirishitans meet
It's a specific personality trait people can have where they will intentionally manipulate other people into dramatic confrontations while also pretending to be the victim. It gives them a sense of power and moral righteousness.
I'm actually starting to doubt that. Take a look at the respective heights. I don't have any better suspicions though.

kenichi is the most cucked man in japan, and possible the known world >be me >forced to hang out the the magistrate's kid >he's kinda a dick but eh >we're both after this one chick >go to mountains one day to fuck about >we sees some old dude display a modicum of skill >he runs off to train with him >have to enplane to the rest of the village why their heir amscrayed >fun.parchment >go to train at the school >become the best their >get to go to big tournament with sword set as prizes >baler.oilpainting >fuckhead shows up, guess he didn't die >he kicks my ass in front of everyone, including the lord of these lands >leave school in shame >latter hear that my school did a bunch of dishonorable things >JUST.foldingscreen >get drunk at inn, when who should show up but the dickhead himself >wanna kill him >can't >hear our village is about to be sacked >go to help >kick the bandits asses >the girl we liked is STILL hot for him >but he's off to serve the lord who he kicked my ass in-front of >rebound.painting >get married to her >she's having a kid! >it's kinda early but what- >REMEMBER SHE AND FUCKNUTS WENT OUT TOGETHER BEFORE HE LEFT >was i fucking Yamata-no-orochi in my previous life? >don't want her to be dishonored, raise the kid as my own, he'll love me more anyways >latter the magistrate gets killed by another lord, makes me lead the village >the lord doesn't help us when brigadiers/ninjas/kami/foreigners attack >everyone blames me when this happens >i'm not even surprised anymore >dickweed comes back twice >saves my kid and the village both times >kid goes off to train with the old pedo fuckass trained under >my kid loves him >the village loves him >my wife's wetter than the ocean for him >fuckmylife.godinspiredcrystalmasterpiece pic related, it's mf during all of this
The drawing of the catch and return here is incredible. So dynamic.

>Turns out the gods jei is following is actually the christian god and saints >The evil that jei sniffs is not random like it seems, but they're all heathens and infidels and jei only spares the kirishtani. what a tweest, worthy of a jrpg.

I think its a karma with that guy. He's been a jerk all his life and that bad karma accrued.

Right? It would be pure pottery.

The respitory virus gives it extra flavor!
Really though, kristain is all about equality, generosity, and love. So you can imagine how that goes over in a civilization under military rule with a class structure so unfair that they can get away with literal murder.
Bentley Morgan
But what about Honour? Pretty shitty religion that doesn't encourage you to die for honour.
Come to think if it, Islam would have probably spread like wildfire there.
Brody Lewis
Probably pissed, there gods right? The pantheons rarely get along anyways and many of them barely tolerate each other
Thomas Adams
Sasukue regularly deals with the supernatural and mystic, he'd probably see any other mythology stepping in as just another wandering spirit and act accordingly.
Ryan Thomas
the poor peasants don't care much about honor. The romans were all about martial honor and such, but Christianity spread like fire there, especially among the lower classes
and if you think about it, between helping out the poor and samurai honor, usagi would chose to help out
Well that depends on how power levels are portrayed it seems like the kami and Japanese gods are about as powerful as the myths say but considering how op the Christian figures aren’t be interesting to see how there portrayed, but I just want Jei getting dragged to hell by the power of Christ
