It's actually a pretty cute and chuckle-worthy movie. Do people only hate it because of reasons like, "It got nominated the Oscars!"?

mouse shills have a hateboner for dreamworks

Shota fags love this movie

Boss Baby's older brother appeals to this sites bottomless cesspool of degenerates

I thought it was a really pretty movie and felt like I was watching a longer version of a Chuck Jones short.

Japan did it better and actually deserved its Oscar nomination.

I haven't seen it, but I remember it getting hate on Yea Forums before it'd even come out so I guess something about the title/premise/maybe advertising just really set people off

>When you're so autistic you literally have to change words in someone else's sentences so you can fight imaginary enemies

Yikes.

they deserve it because the oscars are garbage

It's complete unfunny and a concept that's been done to death in other media in the past.

They hate based on the premise, the casting and the fart joke that was in the trailer. People set their opinion on it before watching it.

I hate it because I hate babies

>Shotafags going full on diamonds for Boy Tracer
Also weebs hate it because The Boss Baby cucked A Silent Voice.

This, baby movies are bad by default unless they prove themselves otherwise.

If that was true there would be more porn of Tim.

It was cute, but it was hackneyed and the ending infuriated me. Dreamworks doesn't know how to balance their mediocre ability to try and do what Pixar is doing (making coming together / emotional honesty set pieces) with their extremely bad sense of humor.

And when, in the last 10 minutes, they whiplashes between their all-is-lost moment, a coming-together moment, and then a grand finale that was an epiphany callback to the coming-together moment that happened AFTER the all-is-lost moment? That's not how you write a story. You can't have a discovery moment and then an epiphany that the discovery moment happened.

Loved the moral deliberations /cm/ had concerning boss baby toddlercon

The hate was a meme. Like a Smart Baby plot was just unacceptable for "self-aware" meme twitter. The movie made bucketloads so its not like anything they said made any impact.

it's not funny, like at all.

I thought it was a cute movie. Had creative ideas, some parts were pretty funny, and there was a good ambiguity with the "Is this in his head or really happening" thing which is great up until they get to the dog convention (Then i got confused)

I'm more upset it has a netflix series. I won't rewatch the movie but people put it in the same pile as emoji movie and it's at least got some creative moments and it's own story instead of a really replaceable story.

It's just got a lot of dreamworks smarm though.
