Isn't Dudley Do-right a great cartoon?

And so is the ride (stealth theme park thread)

What the hell is up with that little area? Who's ever heard of Gasoline Alley? Who under the age of like sixty (besides me, my grandad hoarded funnies under the sofa) has ever read Mother Goose and Grimm? Why didn't they stick with actually good cartoons, like Rocky and Bullwinkle (and Dudley by extension)?

when i was a kid i lived for the comics in the newpaper so when i saw that section i got so excited i almost had a seizure

How big is his ass that it lobs out from both ends?

he's a Mounty, so his pants are super loose in the thigh part. It's part of the uniform.

I'm 35 and I know all the cartoons they have there. It's my favorite area. Popeye is the man. My kid knows them all too.

I know right? Family Circle was my favorite.

Going to Universal Orlando next year, is staying on resort as impactful as WDW? Or should I save a few bucks and stay off resort?

It has spinach.

Personally, I think staying on site is the best, especially for WDW. At Universal they allow you into the parks an hour early which is also WELL WORTH IT because for a good hour the rides are ten minute waits. However, there is a Double Tree resort that offers rides to and from the parks which is quite nice and less costly. However, you won't get the special care you get on site or the food perks. The food is also overpriced at the DoubleTree and you feel like a number. However, the gym and pool are outstanding.

Sorry, I used "However" way too many times there!

I don't think they were able to obtain deals from Garfield or Peanuts.

My wife and I stay on resort at WDW every time because the immersion is so great and a huge part of the atmosphere when taking our vacations. The conveniences of on resort transportation and park entry times is nice, but not the main draw.

How's the immersion for Universal? Is it great or am I paying for the convenience.

You mean Jim Davis held out marketing for once?

Double Tree pool

It's really deep and long. However you can see the resorts are going to be a cut above. Also you're not allowed to swim unless you can present a key to an entry man while Tom Dick Harry can stroll into the pool at DoubleTree. Also parking is $18.95 at DoubleTree.

I'd say you're paying for convenience. Cabana Bay is the only one I know and it's a sixties themed resort. The kid rooms are kind of themed but I'd say it's not as immersive as Disney. Personally I think the convenience is worth it.

Have you ever tried the Legoland cabins? It's my favorite park. Highly active. People are thinner.

That looks pleasantly aesthetic.

I love Garfield so I won't ever talk bad about Jim Davis.

How old are your kids? Legoland is one of my favorite places.

I really like the transition between the marvel land and the newspaper strip land. The carnival rides slowly change their theming as you go further.

I just wish popeye had a dark ride and not- that.

They had his cheap knock off Heathcliff there.

Same!! The water ride soaks you to the core. Not really my thing. I've been a fan of Popeye forever. There is so much material. My kid also loves Popeye.

Disney standards surpass everything else but I'm sure you know that. Still every park has it's fun and charm.
