It was a right call from WB. They shouldn't lose more time delaying another movie. They need to build-up the characters first if they want bilions. As long as the sequel is received as great as this one did, it will make more money.

Shazam have a 100 million budget, add to that something between 50 to 100 million spend on marketing.
Something around 60% of box office goes to cinemas, so to break even this movie have to make something between 400 to 500 million dollars.
But i think WB is more concern with rebulid general opinion about DC films, rather than making a lot of money

This movie is getting praise from audiences. This movie is not about getting the biggest Hollywood stars on play a role on or making a billion dollars at the box office.
