Waid has been notorious in the comics pro community for decades and pretty much anyone who has ever had to work with him has horror stories. He's scream, cry, break down, smash phones, call people names, etc. Apparently, after an editor at Crossgen he did't like's wife died and when Crossgen went out of business, Waid send the editor a black wreath and a message that said "What would your wife think of you, now?"

Waid's got Aspergers, most agree, but the decades he's spent with every comics media outlet praising him as a "genius" and a "comics god" has only made it spiral out of control. He thinks he's untouchable and can fuck with anyone he wants with no consequences. This time he finally broke the law, though.

At this point Waid's lawyer must be begging him to settle.
