What are some positive portrayals of Jews in comics and cartoons? Preferably made by Jews themselves.

There was an Israeli mutant superhero in Marvel. Sabra, I think. Does she count?

>Claremont is Jewish on his mother's side, and lived in a kibbutz in Israel during his youth
He was not intended by Kirby or Lee to be Jewish. That was a later retcon.
I guess they retconned Peter B. Parker to be Jewish in the Spider-Verse movie too if we're counting those.
Oscar in Summer Camp Island is coded as Jewish. He uses Yiddish words, like mentioning his mom refers to him as bubbeleh. Also the godmonster. She uses words like knish and tuchus. She seems bad at the start but in the end we find out she's not so bad. Someone mentioned Alice Fefferman also has a usually-Jewish surname, although she is a less sympathetic character.
The creator Julia Pott is not Jewish. Someone claimed she had a Jewish boyfriend though, so maybe that's where she got that stuff.
WOW, I did not know that.
When did they retcon this?
Star Butterfly
>Voiced by Eden 'Khazar Milkers' Sher
>Breaks a glass and says "Mazel tov" at a wedding
First mention of it was "Remembrance of Things Past" in Fantastic Four (Vol 3) #56 (August 2002). Four decades after his creation.
How did they go about it?
Did they go make Ben say “Sorry Sue I can’t come today, my nephews having his Bar mitzvah” or did they just hang a Menorah in his room?
Flashbacks to his youth when he visits his old neighborhood, including his bar mitzvah.
Nice. Any other retconned Jewish characters?
He said positive
Think this was my first none Holocaust exposure to the Jewish faith.
She is the heroine and protagonist, unlikeable as you may find her.
Holy shit I forgot about this.
The works of Will Eisner, who was Jewish. His portrayals weren't always positive but I found them a bit more realistic and honest as a jew raised in NY myself.
maybe not necessarily POSITIVE, but realistic at least
>Star is Jewish
>Star is reveled to secretly be (((piefolk)))
It all clicks together now.
Will Eisner has a ton of graphic novels about juadaism, but it has (as it should be) its lights and shadows
Steven Universe seems pretty Jewish, meaning Greg is probably Jewish too and he's by far one of the best cartoon dad's of the 2010's
Sam from Danny Phantom.
So *that's* why he had Qabbalistic references n X-Men.
