In one of the DVD commentaries the writers say that she was supposed to be strangled by Homer in one episode (like he always does to Bart) but they had a change of mind because Lisa is "too sweet to get hurt".

Maggie hasn't either, but the show wouldn't dare ever go there. Hell, she survived driving a car all by herself into a fucking wall and took a nap on the released airbag without a scratch on her.

Lisa on the other hand did go through boot camp which included being strapped to a fucking plane propeller and it's inferred that she, Bart and all the other campers sustained at least some level of injury or malady or at least malnutrition during the Kamp Krusty episode.

I'm fairly sure that was a self-imposed rule of the writers.

Uh...I do know that there's that scene in Marge vs Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples, Teens, and Gays where the cops are rubber truncheoning the rioting babies but it's off-screen because Fox wouldn't let them show babies getting beaten up.

I seriously want Lisa to get called out on her bullshit in a future episode. Like seriously she gets all of the positive reinforcement while Bart is left with negative reinforcement.
