They've been far more miss than hit ever since the first Shrek. Sure they don't raise flags like Illumination does but I sure as hell can't be sold on a movie with their name alone.

This movie looks like it's gonna' be all over the place.
Yeah, there were large portions of it that you can skip without any impact, but it was charming in its way. Hit some Pixar notes, but surrounded them with the standard Illumination "is THIS what you want? What about THIS? Ok, which one of these things are going to make me a meme with the kids? I'll just do them all to be safe."

Universal relies so much on Dreamworks & Illumination. Why not just merge the two already?

I was surprised with how boring the whole thing was, even for an illumination movie.

It's my 2 year old nephew's favorite movie, they always put it whenever we're eating so he can be entertained for a bit so I've been watching it pretty much every week.
It's boring, it feels more like a three parter or a new TV cartoon than an actual movie and almost all of the characters are annoying in general. Also I hate how Snowball is animated, it looks kind of uncanny.
