but he is right? nolan's batman is considered as one of the "darkest" and "serious" depictions of batman but its not dark, batman is inherently not dark. the world's greatest detective isn't solving the brutal rape and slayings of children here, he is fighting a crazy masked man who wants to blow up gotham in all 3 movies.
if you want dark then turn to HBO, if you want entertaining action oriented stuff then turn to batman.
