What's going on here? Did CN and Disney perform corporate espionage on each other and coincidentally decided to steal the same show from each other?

I think the real question is: which one was the better show?

Juniper doesn't really have much good #34. Sorry, that's about the extent of my knowledge regarding the topic.

The weird thing is that both came out around the same time.

Jake Long.

I always assumed this was an Antz/Bug's Life kind of thing.

There was a big legal controversy about it or something. Some dude was working on one show, got fired and promptly went on to get hired by the other company to make a similar show.

You forgot to mention that they're both asian and both have pugs

It's the Yea Forums Stand Alone Complex. Another example would be Dennis the Menace.

Juniper Lee
-Likeable heroine that didn't talk like a wigger
-Tongue-in-cheek humor
-Friends weren't offensive stereotypes
-Didin't rip-off Danny Phantom
-Wasn't scaleybait

>Likeable heroine
She was annoying as fuck. Not as bad as Jack but still bad. Also, his brother.
>Tongue-in-cheek humor
All mediocre

>All mediocre
Hey, I'd take it over "sassy black gurl stereotype this side of Leslie Jones" and "Mr. Crocker rip-off" anyday.

She was at least much more likable than Jake Long. I also love the creator and his other works, like that comic book series of a boy genius. I wonder what Juniper Lee would have been like with added profanity.

What is SAC?

I found Rose or rather Ariel in blonde form much much more appealing than JP's attempt at a "love interest".
But I did find the rest of the stuff from JP much more charming, like the grandma, the pug, the annoying younger sibling, the magic, the artefacts, the villains, the monsters, etc.
American Dragon's villains lacked A LOT. The writing was incredibly generic in season 1, complete with awkward relationship teasing, but in S2 the writing felt much more nuanced, content-filled and shit actually going on, while JP had decent nuanced writing from the get to go.

Still I do wish they had a crossover. I'd love to see two hero-types, leader-type characters inside the same show without stepping on each others toes.
I don't think any cartoon show has ever tried two equal hero characters.

>magical power

they both only used their fists and feet , almost never used magic .

June must be the most Flat girl ever created for a show .
and its funny to think that she is younger than Mabel .

I hated her voice in the English. I much preferred my dub which gave her a normal accent.

My understanding is that Juniper Lee was pitched to Disney first, but Disney rejected it and ended up doing their own take.

Give me combination attacks that they can use together that I can get commissioned by a artist. Do it Yea Forums.

You forgot to say that both are Chinese and their initials are JL

>a normal accent
Wha?

Did she speak Japanese.

>I don't think any cartoon show has ever tried two equal hero characters.
Superman and Batman
>without stepping on each others toes
Nevermind.

Jake Long.Juniper Lee was decent but the way the writer's handled the story was really bland and generic.

Juniper lee by far.
>better one-time villains
>better humor
>better main character (jake long talked like a fucking wigger)
>better supporting characters
>the dog didn't look fucking disgusting
