Then has the nerve to try and force him to scare people from buying cars that she deemed non enviromental friendly. Then the kicker was when Danny gave up his powers to protect his family and to have a normal life. She and the loser Tucker called him selfish and basically say "Now our lives will be boring WAH!". Tucker for example was jealous of Danny's powers and wished for powers of his own and hurt a lot of people and yet Danny forgives him which is bullshit.

yeah when I was fiddling with ideas for a Danny Phantom reboot, I came to pretty simple solutions for fixing Sam and Tucker;

1) Tucker gets the boot entirely as a character and several of his attributes get distributed to other characters(Valerie takes his slot as Danny's best friend*, Jazz takes his role as Danny's Tech Support*, and I'll go into what Sam takes from him in the next point)

2) with Sam I decided to toss out almost everything about her as a character except her name, her overall design(although it'd definitely be seeing tweaks), the fact that she's a goth, and that she's rich, this version of Sam is overall a lot nicer(she'd be a textbook definition of "perky goth"), she actively embraces and utilizes her family's wealth(and thus isn't a social pariah like her canon counterpart^), for the most part isn't an activist at all, and since Tucker isn't around to use it she inherits his love of meat

*this means both Valerie and Jazz start the series out knowing Danny is half-ghost(Valerie still ends up with the ghost hunting gear her canon self has, but the specifics that lead to that go in a completely different direction)

^similarly Danny's default social status is much better in this version, as in this universe the Fenton's have been much more successful as Ghost Hunters prior to Danny gaining his powers, so Danny is actually somewhat popular since his parents have saved the town several times minimum prior to the show starting(along with the fact that this gets rid of some of the more tedious aspects of the show, it also makes Danny's civilian life crib less blatantly from Spider-Man than it does in canon)

On top of that, Sam created a few of the episode's conflicts because of her self-righteous attitude and terrible character getting in the way of everything.

I'm not even sure why people ship Danny/Sam to be honest. Their chemistry isn't really anything to marvel at and they have more flaws to their relationship than good ones. Danny deserved better and had a more interesting chemistry with Valerie since they actually had interaction through a few episodes, which felt more natural to watch than having to be pushed to witness Danny/Sam's forced relationship, especially in Season 3. Paulina would of been another good choice for him too. Also, Sam pretty much crushed on Danny because he gained ghost powers. It's just not a good pairing and most of the fault is on Sam's part for being a terribly written character.
