I enjoy Conan but mind control stories are so fucking boring.
It's gonna be like 2 issues of conan fighting the mind control. Then when they get to the treasure it's going to look like conan is under thrall but then at the last minute either his companions voice will snap him out of it or he'll reveal he'd been playing all along to get close to the sorcerer.

Issue #2 didn't have a background either. Stylistic choice of does Alex Ross not have enough time to paint Cap, Hulk, and Conan covers in a month? I'm leaning towards the latter since he's stopping the Conan covers with #5. Shame.

Heh, I have all 4 issues of SS so far and haven't even cracked them open yet. I'm afraid to touch them.. I collect Alex Ross covers and Conan is one of my favorite characters so him doing these is a dream for me. I would have paid 50 dollars for a 1:50 variant. Fact I can get 5 different ones for 5 dollars a piece if a dream.

I doubt Conan will be mind controlled. It'd surprise me if they go that route. Maybe there will be a moment where he's "trying to fight it off", but I doubt he'll ever actually be fully under any control. It'll probably be more about Conan trying to kill the dude before the poison takes effect.
